I'm running Perception 10.1 and I noticed that Shazam and SoundHound absolutely do not work anymore. They will not recognize any songs. I also noticed that voice dialer doesnt recognize anything I say anymore. Example: when I say "Call John Kaiser mobile" what shows up is Dial and some random numbers.
Is this because the Perception 10.1 rom doesnt have the proper drivers for the Audience chip? Anybody else having this problem?
The only roms that worked for me with voice dialing are FireFly and Phoenix.
Also, whats weird, is when I use the microphone button on the keyboard, it picks up and translates what I say perfectly.

I've been always using built-in Cyberon Voice Speed Dial solution without any problems - starting with HTC Wizard and then HTC Hermes. But once I've got Kaiser, it works absolutely terrible. Voice recognition accuracy is extremely low, I actually need to speak very slowly and loud in order to get a slight chance to dial a number or launch application properly. Initially I though it was the problem with poor BT headset sound quality, but recently I found out voice dialling also works rubbish even when I say commands straight to the microphone, NOT using BT headset!
I was wondering if there is any chance to apply some reg tweaks to make it work as it used to in my previous HTC phones. I found \HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Speech registry key, but I'm not sure what could be changed there. I also tried to find newer version of Cyberon VSD app, but seems like I already have the latest installed (v1.2 build 070717). I'd be greatly appreciated for any hint on that matter, as this problem drives me nuts each time I try pointlessly voice dial a number while driving a car.
Btw, I know there are apps like MS Voice Commander out there, but as I have a lot of Polish-specific names in my Contacts, it won't probably help me at all.
Greetings everyone. I seem to have a dilemna in regards to my plantronics 150 earpeice and voice activated calling on my unlocked tilt.
I can not get voice activated calling with any ROMs except one TPC_V11_KAISER_CHUMP__STYLE and microsoft voice command (MSVC_US_PPC_1..19214.bengalih)
I have flashed various flavors of 6.5 ROMs available here then I install the voice command, then pair my earpiece.
No matter what I do I cant get the earpiece to initiate a call. it works fine if the call is initiated by the phone itself.
Now the odd thing is the earpiece works perfectly when I use TPC V11 rom's.
I sure hope someone among us has had similar issue?
any suggestions?
thanks
PC it doesnt seem to matter what radio I use either.
Hi,
I just purchased the scala rider intercom
its an intercom system for motors. I am having one issue with my N1 on voice dialing. I can give a command to voice dial and while the phone is "on" (that is, the screen is on) it works, kinda, it gives me the suggestions of the name I just said. when I press it on my phone it dials. ( so to be clear the input command is done by my scala head set.)
obviously this isnt how it should works. I need to give the command and not touch my phone at all. When my phone is "off" (that is, the screen is off) it does give a vibrate signal after I give the voice command, but it doesnt dial. I suppose this is because the phone wants me to choose and confirm the name i just shouted.
I tried adding 'mobile' to a name in my list. when voice dialing normally it only prompted the correct name (no other suggestions), but the nexus still wants you to confirm it. I cannot confirm a name while riding a bike so I actually want it to just call the first suggestion. its always right anyway.
the scala rider manual doesnt say anything, it just refers you to the phone's manual. but I cant get it to work.
I cant really test it on my 'normal' bluetooth headset, because it doesnt support any voice dial options.
does anyone know if I can force the nexus to dial the first suggestion? maybe someone has experience with voice dialing via a Bluetooth system and has another solution..??
any help is much appreciated.
Tom
I have a Scala Q2, however i have never used it for voice calls.
However have you tried to 'confirm' the call by pressing one of the buttons on you Scala. I think one is accept and the other is decline.
I searched and found only old information from last year on this...
Does anyone have bluetooth headset-initiated voice command dialing working with their Captivates?
If so, please tell me exactly how you are accomplishing this -- what bluetooth headset, what ROM, what apps, your procedure for initiating a call from your bluetooth headset.
I'm not interested in any procedure that involves looking at or even touching the phone itself. I need a solution that will let me place a call to the contact of my choice solely from my bluetooth headset -- just push the button on the headset, tell it who to call and reliably make the call to the contact and phone type (mobile, home, etc.) that I tell it.
I am currently using the new Andromeda ROM but would be very interested in hearing what new ROMs do this well.
Thanks!
I am running Paragon ROM and I am able to make calls through my car stereo via Bluetooth voice dialing. Leave the phone in my pocket, hold a button down on my stereo until the voice asks for a command, I then say "Call Contact". If they have more than one number it asks if I want to call them at home work or mobile. I say "Mobile". The voice then repeats "Call Contact mobile"
I am running Paragon RC5.1, but Bluetooth voice dialing has worked for me since I first flashed with RC3.
I have the 4.3 ota from Rogers installed. It has broken the Bluetooth Voice dial with my 2012 Chev Equinox which worked under 4.1. I can dial from the car touch screen by selecting the number from the address book, but not using the call "joe" voice command.
All other BT media functions work. My old BlueAnt S4 still works as it uses the phone voice command.
I have called Rogers and HTC with no success.
Anyone have any ideas to correct this?

I have found another thread with an answer. Remove all brackets and hyphens and dial works. Not a great solution but it works.
