I can see that some people have problems with updating...The only thing you have to do is to:
1)restore to your stock ROM,if you have flashed your phone in another custom ROM.
2)update via software update in your phone in 1.25.xxx version..
3)do the same thing for the update 1.37.xxx. version
4)and finally update it to froyo
ENJOY!
how can you install Stock 1.25.xxx version ??
should i flash a custom ROM then install 1.25.xxx version if so how ?
cheers.
you could try to restore it if you've done a nandroid backup before installing a rom.
yes i done a backup buts i thinks my backup is 1.37 so will i be able to install this ?
Yes, i think you can. The only downside is that you'll loose root privileges.
i dont care about root and it dosnt work
says bootloader error
I'm updating it right now. And I don't really want to root my Android. I only want to Flash Windows Mobile Phones because they suck.
Hi everybody! I updated mine yesterday to 2.2.1. It works fine and I have an operator free device.

it's official alright, it's a RUU (ROM update Utility) just read the thread I linked...jeez
Dear all,
Htc wildfire not rooting after update android 2.2
No need to create another thread, we already have a billion of these.
You can't root the new OTA froyo because htc updated the hboot. You're going to have to wait until unrevoked release a new version.

What's new about this one? Gingerbread with SenseUI ?
thanks your providing.
could you provide rom only?
it is easy to install to other type's phone.
Can someone tell me what's new in this update?
Comes with Gingerbread and new sense?
It's applicable on Incredible from UK ?
WHen i try to apply update it says WRONG ID
This is NOT a new ROM for the Incredible S, just an Asian region version with appropriate language options. It does not have a Gingerbread update. In fact, the latest Froyo ROM version is newer than this - it's now at 1.38.707.1.
