The honeycomb music player is available for the Galaxy Tab. Does anyone know if it will work on our infamous G tablets?
They say it is only a beta version but looks pretty kool!!!
I can confirm that it works. I downloaded it last night and used it does a while. I don't really use my gtab for much audio so I'm not sure how much better it than the previous version.

I had that other version and it just decided to upgrade the install, now I have the instant streaming on it!. YAY! Finally going up again my tablet. add the dock and vola instant fun no matter where. =D
So just letting you all know so you can install the official supported one now.
Before folks with HC3.2 on their DS7 breakout in cheers right now this is a reference to Netflix 1.41 for android 2.2 amd 2.3 platforms which as alot of people know doesn't stream video on most HC3.2 tablets yet.

I've had Netflix on my DS7 running HC ( both Honeystreak and official ) for months. Just research the libnvomx patch Its an easy fix.

On 20 Oct. Netflix made version 1.5.0 of the Android Netflix app available on Market and it works as nicely under HC 3.2 on my stock DS7 as the 1.4.1 version did earlier under 2.2.
I just read an news item that, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus is releasing on next week. Looks like it has similar specs (may few are different), is someone going to port it for SGT 7" classic ? it has HC 3.2

That would he really awesome.probably only way it would play nice would be on an overclocked GT. Already sluggish on 10 inch version

I still feel like the spacemoose version of hc runs pretty smooth other than minor tweaks and bugs but not really that slow do I don't see it would be impossible... I think we should focus on ics instead though

Is there any interest in developing an OS which runs Android apps but is simplified to make music more upfront? I'm thinking it would be for the upcoming android PMP's which are coming out (sony walkman z and cowon z2, along with samsung galaxy wifi) but could also work for any phone.
still android looking, but have details which make it more music centric (easy access to music app[devoted homescreen to it?] more "basic" in some sense)
if there's interest i can post some mockups. unfortunately i don't have the skill to code this and that is why i'm asking.

Htc Phones using the beats audio system and such stuff are made for that.
Otherwise I'd really like an music player like htc's if you have seen that before.
its smooth grey and has an coverflow like feature.
The Cowon D3 runs with Android, now the question: is it possible to port the jeteffect3 and bbe+ plugins to the new Android roms ?
Would be nice to hear my music with Jeteffect on my GNote .

I'm bumping this post because I also have this question. That said it can be taken on farther now.
The device called Z2 Plenue uses Android 2.3 GB & utilizes the updated JetEffect 5.0 and BBE. It should be noted that this is the only android based device (that I know of) that has BBE functionality since App wise BBE is currently iOS only (Sadly). Hence why I am bumping this. BBE is a fantastic EQ and since Voodoo Sound Plus doesn't work on the Yamaha Driver of the Note (if I recall what I read correctly) then this is pretty much the only way the Note could get Top Notch EQ at the moment.
I have a Galaxy S II and an OG iPad. I want to sell them both and buy one device. The Galaxy Note looks good. The only thing I really do on my iPad is play Words with Friends, and it is awesome in portrait mode on an iPad. I know there is a honeycomb version of WWF, but am not sure if it can run in portrait mode (all the pictures I've seen is the landscape layout), and am not sure if the Galaxy Note can run the tablet version of the game since technically it's just a gingerbread phone with a high resolution. The Phone version of the game is unacceptable (yeah I'm a WWF addict). Can the Galaxy Note have the same WWF as the iPad?
Also, I am wondering about tablet apps in general on the Note, and their compatibility. I've read some mixed info on it so it's pretty confusing. Then there is also ICS.
I've ran Words with Friends on my Note with no problem on phone UI. I never actually tried with tablet UI because I quit playing WWF. Got bored with it.
Anyways, in phone UI it was only in portrait mode.
I have also tested WWF on GB and ICS and both work fine.
Its the same as the phone versions im afraid.
