You bricked your phone. You are going to need to go to download mode and use odin again. And from personal experience, using that i9010xxjl1 rom, it is a hit or miss, just gotta keep trying. I got it to work after flashing it a second time. You might need a Jig to get into download mode.
hmm... i got a new problem. maybe, the firmware is crap?

Okay, ehhh tell me where you got the file and what you put into odin okay ) I'll help as best as I can. Worst case scenario would be flashing a different rom. And what phone do you have? Just tell me everything so I can understand and fix your problem (if I can).
=)
i got the firmware I9010XXJL1 from samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-i9010.htm.
i've a samsung galaxy s giorgio armani (gt-i9010).
i tried it with odin v1.0, v1.3 and v1.7... none of them worked
inside the rar file:
I9010XXJL1-REV00-ALL-low-CL752194.tar.md5
MODEM_I9010XXJK9_REV_00_CL737172_SIGNED.tar.md5
my pit-file:
s1_odin_20100512.pit
i tried it several times that way:
img6.imagebanana.com/img/0f1379it/odin.jpg (can't include external links)
thank you =)
Try rebooting your PC, use a different usb port, etc. I had same thing happen to me before. Rebooting fixed my problem.
worked!

Next problem??
Is this when you turn on the phone??? Usually it'll give you options on what to do as well...
yes,
my phone starts, galaxy intro plays, after finishing i get a black screen and it vibrates several times...
i did in 3e:
wipe date/factory reset
wipe chace partition
but it didn't helped.
Any more options? there should be more, I remember when I flashed this rom I was able to ignore that 3e warning and the phone would be back to normal.
yes:
reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe date/factory reset
wipe chace partition
format internal sd-card
when i start my phone, it doesn't work... it just vibrates^^
Do you already tried the reboot option then? I was afraid of that.... The part where your phone just vibrates.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
yes, doesn't work any other ideas?
I have an idea, but first, can you still get into download mode? If yes, I can still help you ^^

3. MODEM_I9010XXJK9_REV_00_CL737172_SIGNED.tar.md5
4. SP6160.axf
where to put these files on odin? the first at CSC, the second at PDA. but last two?
hoooooooooo, it works again! hahah, yeah i like
thank you sooooo much for helping =)
Well I'm glad you got it working. Sorry for the delayed response, I passed out. But reason why you messed up was because of two things. I did the same mistake myself as well when I flashed this rom.
1. When you used Odin, you only use the .pit file if you needed to repartiton and if you have 3 files (Phone/PDA/CSC) Since samfirmware.com was stupid when they released this. They didn't have the third file (CSC) so the only way to flash this rom was to use the 1 file method. You only needed to put the i9010xxjl2 file into the PDA section and simply flash the rom.
(But it looked like you got a different i9010 rom and were able to flash it)
2. When you were in the android 3e directory, that's what the .pit file do and the lack of a CSC file caused the data/cache wipe and partition to do nothing but send your phone into a blank screen.
I guess with this information, I might as well post the guide to flash the i9010 Armani Froyo rom >.<
Leertaste,
where did you download these files and where do they go in odin?
i'm having the same problem as you had..
please let me know

And i maybe forgot to enable usb debugging before i root, is this the cause? how i enable it now?
what can i do now? I tried to change port, change pc, uninstall kies, reinstall driver, close antivirus, and all doesn't work, please help...
To be sure, take out all unnecessary USB devices and use a USB port that's directly attached to your motherboard. Without your phone attached load Odin and load all files. Put the phone in Download mode and hook it up to your pc. When Odin recognizes it then try and flash again.
Make sure there's not a trace of Kies on the pc, just have the drivers installed.
USB debugging should not have to be enabled. There's no way of enabling it without booting up the phone and setting it in the options anyway.

First: this thread is marked as solved since april. Chances are very low for a reaction (but at least I did)
Second: Make a new one in Q&A
Third: What do you mean with "Took the TB"? Especially when you flash a new Stock Rom after
Fourth: Did you put the tar-file under "Phone"? Should be "PDA".
Fifth: Read a lot in the stickies here - good start for handling Odin is Dr. Ketan's thread
Sixth: your current situation might result from not reading enough. I hope you didn't brick your device and can restore a running Rom with the instructions from the stickies. Good Luck
how exactly did you reach this situation?
Did you resolve this ?

Did you select the firmware .tar file in odin PDA tab only?
This sometimes happens due to bad download file, try flashing some other firmware, preferably GB so that you can wipe if required.
search google with 'Receive Response form LOKE" and you will find lot of people having same issue and most of them able to resolve by flashing different firmware.

Yes, its completely wrong, you should select single firmware .tar in PDA tab only. Try again by rebooting your phone and check if you have kies running, if so close it completely.
SUGGESTION- Do not flash ICS stock rom now, I am not sure what has been messed up by flashing this using phone tab (ICS phone files on GB base, not sure), best is flash stock GB firmware first, then wipe in stock recovery and flash ICS.

Do NOT rename the tar file, it may cause Odin to fail the md5 check.
This is NOT ROOTED. Its the original TAR file for people who need an Emergency Recovery for their phones, and don't want to wait hours for it to download from slow file hosts.
Download Link: L720 L720T
BACK UP ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS AND PICTURES/VIDEOS ON YOUR INTERNAL SD CARD. THIS MAY ERASE EVERYTHING.
Instructions:
1. Download and Extract tar above and download Odin
2. Put phone into download mode (power off, then power button + Volume Down, then volume up when prompted)
3. Open Odin (right click > open as administrator)
4. Load stock tar into the PDA slot
5. Start flashing
6. Grab some popcorn because it will take a while
7. Profit
Includes bootloader as well?
Finally, thank you. I've held off on trying some things because we didn't have a tar to fall back on.

My phone's screen has smashed, so I cannot verify, but I'm sure it does have a new bootloader. I flashed this on my phone successfully (I can hear the Samsung Boot Sound), but cannot verify anymore than that.
If i flash this rom i will lock my phone? Im on another od2 and unlocked with galaxy tools
I am from Greece and i have flashed this rom, my phone was unlocked from the oldest method and it is now still unlocked.
The thing i want to ask is that at the network settings there is nonly the option GSM/UMST for my country and i want to get the options for Only GSM and not to get the 3G Signal at all.
With the old rom there was a prosedure that i was rooting the phone and setting it but is there any root on this one and tell me someone how to get the GSM only setting?
I hope our hero's havent abandoned the S4. I would love this as a rom only, de-knoxed, with hotspot hack. I have the firmware and modem files already.
edit: actually i dont really care about knox anymore, just the hotspot.

I'm a little confused. I have a Sprint Galaxy S4 SPH-L720.
I want to restore it completely to stock. Should I flash the tar linked in the first post, or use one of the tars linked in your quoted post?
Thanks for any info.

All the info is right there. My post says that link is for the L720T, you don't have the L720T, so you would use the one in the OP.

Thanks for the quick response. I just wanted to be sure I was flashing the right TAR. Didn't want to brick my phone.
I downloaded and flashed the TAR from the first post, and all went perfect. I'm now on Lollipop 5.0.1.
Thanks to OP for this TAR!!!!
I need help... I started flashing the tar in odin to my phone and everything seemed to be doing fine for about 10-15 minutes, then it says "FAIL". Heres what showed up in the message box:

Update from MF9 4.2.2?
Noob question: I've been away from customizing for awhile. My phone is rooted, but otherwise stock. on 4.2.2 modem MF9. Would flashing this work for updating me to lastest "stock". Or do I need to update modem or something else prior to rom?

- Wipe the cache partition
- Wide data factory
- And after that i treid to install stock firmware with odin i followed all the instruction. But Odin still showing FAILED

You download twrp recovery here on xda for your device and flash it via Odin. Then put a custom Rom ( I recommend Dr ketan note 5 Rom). Also found here on xda, put it onto sdcard or if you have the usb flash drive adapter or you can probably even adb connect and push the zip if the other two aren't options. Then you flash the zip from twrp recovery menu(it takes the place of stock recovery. The one you hold power and volume up to get to.

i have the same problem,my phone is not rooted when i installed the firmware for 920T
it keeps turning on and off,i tried to install the firmware again in vain but it did not work .let me know please
If anyone says something about "if you are rooted you can't use odin" don't believe it!
I was rooted with TWRP installed and even xposed and still i could use odin to flash stock.
Are you flashing everything like bootloader and all this stuff? Do it if you didn't.
Else if you need backup rom i recommend "[ROM][7.0][MYSTYLEROM][N920CGI][RL3][19-01-19]".
It's the best backup rom in my opinion.
Try downloading the stock rom from different site again. Maybe rom is damaged.
And also try to

Put the firmware in "AP" in odin. make sure you download the latest stock firmware because when i tried flashing a one month old firmware few months ago it said 'failed' so go on sammobile and check the latest version for your country and model number
Boot into download mode by holding power, volume down and home button together.
This will get you to download mode (odin mode)
Now connect to your pc and open odin
select AP and choose the md5 file you downloaded and click Start.
Then your phone will restart
Sent from my Note 5 using XDA Labs
Try this. Worked for me on n920c
my sm-n920c binary 3 was working properly however the phone crushed with OEM & Debug all switched off.
firstly i wiped data, factory reset because it was saying "custom rom blocked by frp".
second i tried installing new firmware but frp is on.
third i used smart key tool to remove frp but it resulted in removing the custom rom and drk.
fourth i installed new eng boot file
now im stuck at trying to installing new sboot file therefore i cant install new firmware.
please help atleast link me to any sboot.tar.md5 and perharps a latest n920c binary 3 file
Hey Guys, I just recently upgraded my phone to the new Note 10+ coming from the Note 8. I still have my Note 8 and I'm trying to give it to my stepdad for Christmas. He is on T-Mobile and My phone is from Verizon. So I've been trying to Flash T-Mobile Stock Firmware to the phone so the phone has everything he needs to use it on the T-Mobile network, but I keep getting errors. I downloaded Odin 3.13.1, Downloaded the Samsung Drivers, and downloaded the latest T-Mobile Stock Firmware. I put my phone in download mode, Open Odin in Admin Mode, Plug my phone in, Odin says "Added" and the Device box turns Blue. I Add the BL File to the BL, AP to the AP, and the CP to the CP Line, Click Start, and every time it gets stuck on Initialzation.. for a bit, then gives me FAIL! (DeviceInfo). Tried like 5 different firmwares, they are all doing the same thing. Below I will post the Log from Odin and I will attach pictures of helpful information. My Note 8 is on the Most Current Verizon Firmware. Android 9.0 Pie. One of the Firmware Downloads I've Tried, is N950USQS6DSI3_N950UOYN6DSI3_TMB. Another is N950USQU7DSK3_CL17146873_QB27126819 Not sure if that's the right number set to post, because Frija named the folder something other than the Firmware number. I'm willing to donate $20 on Paypal to anyone that is able to help me successfully get the firmware flashed. Thanks for taking the time to help. I do have USB Debugging On and Uninstalled Smart Switch.

Weird.. The version 7 bootloader should have flashed. Are you sure you're not trying to flash the wrong firmware? Actually in all reality you don't need to flash anything just make sure your Google account is removed from the phone and then do a factory reset and when you add the t-mobile sim card it will automatically change everything including the boot up screen from Verizon to t-mobile. But if you want to try this one..

Also download Odin v3.13.3 not 3.13.1 it's on the same page as firmware in that link

I'm not sure about that question as I've never done that before I just know it switches everything with the sim card but in any case try flashing the firmware you have downloaded using Odin version 3.13.3 instead of Odin 3.13.1.

I downloaded Odin 3.13.3 and retried all the firmware I have downloaded and still getting the same message. I am currently downloading the Firmware you linked above, but I'm a basic user on SamMobile so my Download speed is capped at 15 kbps. So it'll take like up to 5 hours. I will definitely let you know how it goes, Thanks for the help.

Try doing this.. Edit the “UMS/PATCH” of the config file in the Odin folder and edit from 0 to 1 and save it and then add the extracted firmware files for t-mobile in the Odin sections appropriately: BL for BL AP for AP CP for CP CSC for CSC (not HOME_CSC)UMS for USERDATA. Now tap start.

Also, if the last post doesn't help you then do this.
1 - Go into Download mode with the Power+Bixby+VDown
2 - Selected BL+AP+CP+CSC (pretty much replace all) in Odin
3 - hit start, press the Power+Bixby+VDown and continue to hold.
4 - phone might reboot then
5 - Comes back up in Download mode, let go and select download mode again.
6 - once in download, press down and hold the Power+Bixby+VDown and hit start on Odin again (yes ,same as above).
7 - it should start loading the image. Once it starts, let go of the buttons or the phone will reboot again and kill it.
Basically, it fails once then imaged on the second time it goes through. If you let it get to the samsung screen between download screens, you just have to start over.
You should start holding the buttons just right after you press START in Odin(you should be already in download mode of course), really you should start holding those buttons right in the next moment after you click START in Odin, so you must do it really fast. It should avoid that FAIL issue in Odin and proceed to further installation of the firmware. As soon as it finishes flashing BOOT, release those buttons(as I said BOOT is one of the first stages so you will have to release the buttons after a second or two), if you keep holding them it will fail again and it will also fail if you start holding them before you press START or if you start holding them too late. Yes, we are using this combination to go to the download mode but in this case it won't do that, it should allow you to avoid that FAIL at the start of flashing process.
If you can't get this to work then simply just flash ONLY the CSC and USERDATA files from the t-mobile folder and make sure you flash the SAME firmware version! By that I mean only from this version N950USQS6DSI3_N950UOYN6DSI3_TM do not flash the files from the newer versions against the older versions! If this works in Odin then do a factory reset in recovery after the Odin flash and see if you have t-mobile apps.
I got a sprint phone from my brother and I just put t-mobile sim in the phone and it flashed itself to tmobile rom. Now it is a tmobile branded phone. I was shocked when it rebooted. It took a while when the phone restarted though. Everything happened automatically, I didn't have to do anything. It was Sim unlocked though.

See what @SKORPiO1975 just said? I'm pretty sure if you just put the sim card from t-mobile in the phone it'll just change everything.

Did it install the T-Mobile apps though? My phone is also unlocked. I tested the phone with a T-Mobile sim card from my Mom's phone just to see if it got 4gLTE and it did, but I didn't let it restart because I was still using it at the time while I was waiting for my Note 10+ order to be ready.
