So, I just flashed the lastest No-Do ROM to my O2 UK HD7.
Everything seems to be working okay, except the battery seems a little warmer than usual.
One thing I've noticed so far, is that even with the music/sfx muted in Bejeweled, the sound still plays until I go into the settings, unmute and then remute it all.
Anyone else experienced the same thing?

As the title says, the audio of my Diamond (probably) is broken. All of a sudden it stopped working. Strange thing is, when it boots, it will play the startup tone. Sometimes the audio works for a few seconds (like in a call) and suddenly it stops again.
Thats why i dont know whether this is a hardware problem or not. Anyone knows what might be the issue?
Oh, and if i choose to bring the diamond back to the store, i need to flash it back to the original rom right?

EDIT: When the problem first showed up I had GenY 5.2, now ive got GenY D2.1, problem's still there.
Is it the speakerphone and system sounds, or the earpiece that doesn't work? So you had a cooked/custom ROM; have you tried putting the original stock ROM?
Headset works well, but the speaker of the phone doesn't work. Both calls and music out of the speaker of the phone won't play. When i start the phone up, it will play the sound, but once booted, if i change the volume or get called, the audio stops after like 2 seconds. Very strange.
This problem seems to appear here in Holland more than anywhere else. Now going to change the radio, and probably change to stock rom indeed.
Changed radio a few times, since i read that probs would work. It didnt.
Also flashed to original 2.03 rom. Got 1 year warranty, but i have the phone 15 months now. No luck for me this time.
Also someone called, and the phone rang, the ringtone played. Unfortunately the sound disappeared once i answered the call.
Anyone got an idea?

Since a few weeks my Diamond lost its audio. It won't play any sound at all, although it plays the startup sounds and sometimes the ringtones. But whenever I answer a call or anything else, the sound is gone again.
Tried multiple hard resets and radio swaps, but no succes.
So, last week I installed GenY's android ROM, to try if the sound worked in android. And it did. Too bad android is not for every day use yet, so i NEED help
It surely is a software issue...
Got no warranty btw.

i am having a small but annoying problem: when someone calls me, there is a chance (like 1 in 10) that the ringtone won't play properly. i mean, over the chosen ringtone i can hear something else, i don't know what, like a voice or another tune? anyone else had this isssue? could it be a hardware problem? o just some software problem?
i am running enomther's 1.9.2 and those problems started maybe a month ago? also, i am using dialer one as dialing soft, but i think this is only used when dialing, not when receiving, right?

Had this exact same issue with ringtones as well as IM + text notifications. What solved the issue for me was doing a factory restore. Everything has been playing perfectly since.
When i flashed Froyo with out wiping first I had a similar problem...wiped, flashed and then viola!

wow. now that is a strange thing!
a week or so ago, my boss (who has a htc leo = hd2) told me that his phone has this strange problem: sometimes, when somebody calls him, he can hear what they are saying BEFORE HE PICKS UP...
Now, i didnt believe him, that is not possible i thought. also, my ringtones stopped being messed up, everythig was ok. until a few moments ago, when my phone was ringing, i was hearing again the scrambled ringtone, but i didnt want to answer si i got it muted. so then it happened to me also: the ringtone got muted, but what was scrambling it could still be heared!!! and it was my friend who was calling me, talking to someone in his car, unaware that i could hear him!!!!
now thats some freaky sht!
anybody else encountered this issue?
p.s. my boss is using original hd2 rom that came with the phone, i am using enom 1.9.2

The other day i noticed really weird problem/bug when receiving incoming call.
When proximity/light/whatever sensors are covered (i.e phone sitting on desk with screen facing the desk) while receiving call, i get no ringtone sound from top speaker, bottom one is working fine.
I tried to disable beats audio, unchecking "quiet ring on pickup" and "pocket mode" in sound settings, i disabled some apps which might cause such behavior like Viber etc.
Oh, and i did factory reset few days ago, so this should not be the problem. Maybe it was present before factory reset, but i didn't really noticed because i changed my ringtone and it's really really noticeable with it.
Otherwise, i don't have any problems with speakers besides this one.. when i watch youtube, play games or listen to music everything is working as it should.
I'm 100% stock, unrooted - for now, running latest OTA (3.62.401.1).
What could be the problem? Anyone else with same issue?

Nope, i tried multiple ringtones and same problem occurs.
Ok, one last bump.. this "problem" occurs even with latest OTA update (4.4.2), can anyone test it and report if it's normal or not?
I tried CM 11 and OmniRom and there was no such problem..

I am facing the same issue on my recently purchased HTC desire 820. The only difference is that the top speaker never plays the rringtone during an incoming call. However i can get hear from both the speakers when i receive the call and start the speaker phone.
Did you find any workaround to this? I can hardly know if i am getting a call when i am outdoors because of this problem.

No, sadly i didn't solve this issue.. i have One M8 now and it also has this same problem, so i guess it's "broken" by design across all HTC phones with boomsound speakers.
Only thing that solved it for me was custom rom (AOSP based, i'm not sure about Sense based), so it's pretty clear that it's software feature, issue or whatever they call it.

Bottom speaker of my HTC 820 has no sound. Cannot hear incoming calls. Samething happened last May. Deleted and paired car bluetooth solved problem. This time no luck. Any suggestions?

The only suggestion I can give without knowing particularly this device is to go back to stock rom if you are using a custom one to look if its software related only. A factory reset is also something you want to try (backup your files first)
Hey guys,
So i have a really annoying problem. Im running firmware 6xxx with viper 7.01. I have a problem where randomly my phone stops making sound on notifications, calls and alarms. If i play media it works fine but everything else makes no noise. Then it'll randomly start again or i need to reboot it. It seems to regularly happen after i charge it. The problem is it has happened with ARHD as well. Both ROMS have had full wipes before i flashed them. Anyone have any ideas, it is a very annoying problem.
