I downloaded this app and it says my phone doesnt run a kernel supporting extended sound controls. Is there something I can do to enable this app to work on my NS?
Install a Voodoo enabled kernel from the dev section. Make sure you read up on how to do so.

1. Is there a description on all the settings?
2. The default settings are the best?

Where is this located?
If you're not seeing the "load kernel module" options in settings, be sure you're using the paid version "voodoo control plus" from the market. Unlike the free version, the "pro" version can dynamically load a kernel module for many roms requiring only root access instead of the compiled in voodoo sound support previously required...
Sorry for my bad inglish, i want softkey without retroillumination on my s plus jelly bean(pac man rom)

Kernel with BLN
In settings you should have an advanced tab with "backlight timer", if you have a kernel with BLN working (CastagnaIT ones) you can set it to "never"

that's right but it only disables the backlight of the soft buttons when the screen is locked and you have a new notification
You need a black permanent marker
Im totally agree, its just using the battery. Btw im using arcoz rom with CastagnaITz kernel, BLN control is not working.
please use general or Q&A i9000 forum......
Guys is very important for me for reserve the battery and the nice look... Hypnos sorry
remember that they are even on in recovery mode. if it's possible, it's gonna be hard to find the code which controls those lights.

Just a heads up to anyone with graphical glitches, toggle Disable HW overlays under developer options at boot, doesn't stick after reboot though.

Haven't been switching roms much at all lately. I'm curious about this one though. Will check it out soon, I think.
@tiny4579 @PonsAsinorem Just to let everybody know I just asked preludedrew about the inc being dropped on twitter and he told me "MONGOOSEHELIX IS BACK FROM THE DEAD so no"

Hey Zach - can you toss us a gapps? (nevermind, see below.)
[edit]
Also - this is very odd - the home button isn't working on this one.
It triggers a vibrate BZZZT but doesn't take me to the homescreen at all.
Menu button works. Back button works. Search does not. (Not that I ever use it...)

BOOYAH look what I found!

Turns out after installing gapps-jb42-20121227-TINY-signed.zip the home button works after all - no need for the custom terminal fix.
Go figure.
This has to be the smoothest jb ROM I've ever used..

Zach,
What's with developer settings not sticking after a reboot? Any thoughts? When I reboot or change batteries, the option is disabled on boot.
Disable HW Overlays: Enabled
Thanks for the ROM! I appreciate your effrots!!!!
Cheers...

Pick cdma (Verizon) and use Faux's app and it works great. With Trickster mod OC would not stick. I got 2572 to stick which is what the asain version is clocked at.

Works on sprint too
From my m8 using XDA Premium HD app
I threw it on my M8 with Viper. Paid for the app too. So far so good. I did need to delete viper's super user app and flash regular super user. But so far so good. I used the app to match the recommended settings that someone posted on one of the last pages of the kernel thread.
I tried this kernel on Viper, but it broke half my onscreen buttons and kept my second CPU on. I might try it on my stock rooted though and see how it goes. It did also break my Titanium Backup ramdisk fix, but I can at least fix that myself.
