I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000N (Latin Version) stuck with P1000NUBJM2 Version 2.2 which haves a protected bootloader!! It just won't boot to apply a patch to the bootloader and the problem is giving me the DBDATA can't mount error!! That firmware file just won't rewrite dbdata.
Is there anyway of repairing the dbdata so I can boot up the P1000N?
Thanks
I have the exact same unit and it works fine with the Bootloader Patch. did you root your device before doing this?
Solution to dbdata problem
Flash the attached file using odin.
1) unzip it,
2) Open Odin
3) put your SGT on dowload mode and conect it
4) select the .tar file on PDA, dont use .pit file and then flash it with Odin,
It worked for me, tell me if it works for you.
thanks dear it works like charm.

i am having some problem..
help us guys
thanks
Fixed... use odin 512
Thread moved in Galaxy S I9000 General.
I can definately help with this one, as I worked through it last night...
I found that if you're trying to flash the JG5 rom (as mentioned in Modaco's thread) with the 513 Pit file, then you'll get the black screen of despair!! For some reason the two combination of the two don't work.
However, if you do a google search for Odin PIT 512, then download this file
You will be able to download the 512 PIT file instead. Now use this in Odin3 to flash the JG5 rom and you should have no further issues....it worked for me.
I also discovered that Samsung have just released a later firmware, so I just flashed this one on top of the JG5 one...I have a nicely running phone now.
Hope this helps...it did me!
Mike
Mine was completely knackered. Couldn't get to recovery either. Flashed Modaco's MCR R3, after the JG5 flash, using all the files in the JG5 download. Working a treat...
Cheers,
BS...

Same here.
I tried JS3 and going back to JP6....and always the same result.
I'm obviously missing something. Maybe my 512.PIT is corrupted. I get the black screen and the same /dev/block.st110 errors in recovery.
i beleive you need to have a CSC file also for the odin flash.
i sorted mine like this:
Downloaded some JP2 odin files [used this as this was the only one on Samsung-firmwares that had all 3 PDA, Modem and CSC Files. flashed this using a .512 pit in odin. - this allowed the phone to boot normally.
connected to Kies and using reg hack [set to XEU] managed to update to JPY.
the following the Darky guide, flashed the CF Root kernel, installed the ROM Manager from the market, using the recovery mode installed the update.zip file for clockworkMod.
Formatted everything in ClockworkMod
Factory Reset in ClockworkMod
Installed Darky ROM V8.0 Wipe
thanks for your find !

fix for black screen after flash with no recover or download mode working.
Hey All.
So like the subject says, you flash and then your phone restarts or whatever, and then you get the normal galaxy s startup, with the sound and the visuals, but then that's it. Henceforth you are greeted with the two lights (if its a Bell Vibrant) from your options and back keys.
To fix it use the attached file. Its called ADB or something - I just know it works. It was a fix for the galaxy s phones that didnt have the recovery/download mode stock.
so here is how it goes:
1. download adb to your desktop and unpack it (if its in winrar or zip or whatever) to a file folder named adb.
2. open a command prompt.
3. type "cd" and then the address of the "adb" folder. so for example it should be in C:\Users\your user name\Desktop\adb. where "your user name" is your user name a duh.
4. plug in your galaxy s via usb.
5. type "adb reboot download" in the command prompt. copy it using your mouse as well.
6. turn on your phone.
7. press enter in the command prompt, then keep copying and pasting and pressing enter until you see the download screen on your phone. each time you press enter it says device not connected or something but just keep trying.

can't post it but the thread is called "How to get the 3 button recovery mode working"

No need to use PIT file - put firmware file (DH19 etc) into PDA field
Dont change any options
If your Korean i suggest to check out - matpclub.com - korean smartphone community

Hello Guys
Well i have m110s 16 gig and it has ginberbread installed couple of weeks back i was copying files and it screwd my phone and since then it gives me an error that damage internal sd card. Guys ofcourse it's not hardware issue because i have seen the motherboard of m110s and thre is CHIP(rom) in there for storage and if i can flash my phone with different vertion of rom back and forth then it means the memory works just fine. I belive it could be problem with partion. because i can see only 98 mb of space which it allocates for cahe. I think possible solution could be stock Pit file or Bootloader or both of them. if i flash it with stock files i guess things would get ok.
But seriously guys it's annoying me now as i can just use it as phone and not smartphone. Can you guys help me out in this.
Thanks
hi frnd i own a Xperia Neo V but here i am for my frnd he has did something wrong with his phone and its not booting up i can enter recovery/download mode i just want to knwo how to flash i9000
i have downloaded
Flashprogram Samsung I9000 + Pits
firmware version XAJW5_XEU from samfirmware
i have flashed 5830 and 5801 but i dont find odin to be similar as them
can any1 tell me how to flash i9000 and what pit to use cause i can see 3 pits in it
803
513
512
or a full procedure will be helpful
am just trying to help my frnd to fix his S1
you will need to have the galaxy S drivers installed on the computer they can be downloaded and installed as part of Kies or seperatly from a thread in the I9000 (SGS) section of XDA just search for "Samsung Drivers.exe"
As for flashing Phone put it into download mode and connect USB cable
If the file downloaded is a single file .TAR place into PDA of odin
if 3 file place PDA into PDA, CSC into CSC and PHONE into PHONE and flash.
Most GingerBread ROMs use 512 PIT check on samfirmware as to the suggested PIT file.
NOTE a pit file is not always required but cannot hurt. just ensure that repartition is not checked
what will happen if i re partition it.. will it format everything

re partition will fully wipe the OS partitions, not the SDcard partition but sometimes errors do occur with the SDcard.
The ROM on the phone does retain a copy of the PIT file and can access it during a odin flash.
it is very important to use the correct pit file for the rom or it will not boot
Hi
A friend has flashed the following CF-Root "CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4.tar" by mistake.
Then... stuck on Samsung's logo and "Galaxy SII" appears. He tried to flash via Odin the firmware I8190XXALK6 - Novembrer, 2012 but the problem still remains.
The Download mode is available but not the Recovery mode.
What can he do to solve this issue?
Thanks for your precious help! Don't hesitate to ask me for further information.
Galaxy SIII Mini
Android 4.1.1
GT-I8190
Flash the attached file in pda.
Thanks for your help.
I'm goign to transfer that file to my friend.
I'll keep u informed.
The phone boots without any issues except that the SGS II logo is still here.
A new flash through Odin could solve it?
Thanks again.
try to flash full firmware.
Have you Full Firmware (pda, csc, modem)?
http://www.hotfile.com/dl/181522827/74b9c77/I8190XXALK6_I8190XEFALK1_XEF.zip.html
are the 3 Files?
one file include all.
where add this file?
I have a bad flash and i now it is my internal sd not as should be.
I wanted all files for my phone for Odin (Pit file, Modem, CSC)
.
there is not pit file.
just put the tar file inside zip in pda and flash.
My mistake.
the boot logo not include in firmwares, i made one for u.
it shold work.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7, P1000. I gave it to my brother and he was using it for some time and upgraded android 4.0.x
Some of the functionality was not working. I thought I will upgrade to KitKat
After googling found solution here

How to update Samsung galaxy tab GT-P1000 to Android Kitkat 4.4.2 CM 11 Step by Step - HYGO ANDROID
Since the Gingerbird firmware available is not for SIngapore, I downloaded the Firmware from (Samsung-Update)
goo.gl/iUc93G
and Used Singapore version
and PIT file as per the link in HYGO ANDROID
Using Odin3 V1.7 while uploading mistakenly I used the .PIT file and CF_Root file instead of Ginger Bird Firmware
Since it did not boot I realzied my mistake and uploaded the correct Gingerbird file including .PIT file
Upon rebooting, I tried to Wipe cache, it is working successfully
When I tried Wipe data/Factory Reset I get the following message
E:format_volume: rfs format failed on /dev/block/stl10
What does this error mean? How do I resolve?
Thank you and appreciate your help

I have had issues with similar files. I would suggest that you go to the thread where you downloaded the Overcome kernel and you will see the download for GB_Stock_Safe_v5.zip. Try >>> Here thread by @sos_sifou
Ensure that you have copied all of the data you require off your internal SDcard (Try mounting the card in recovery if you are unable to boot your device - Overcome kernel should allow this very easily)
Put the device into download mode, Use Odin 1.7 (only use this version)
select the same pit gt-p1000_mr.pit as PIT (naturally) and then choose GB_Stock_Safe_v5.tar as PDA, and then choose JP4 modem (or similar - what ever is best for your region)
Flash your device.
If you have troubles or brick your device (it happens - I must have done it at least 30 times last week ) then download Heimdall Oneclick Unbrick by Adam Outler >>> here. You will probably need this so you should download it anyway.
