For me Thrill, because it has the fastest data for me.

If you enjoy to watch some video in H.264, i prefer you to buy galaxy 2
If not, Optimus 2X is much better
by the way, Samsung always enjoy to sell both bootloader locked phone and locked phone.

SGS2: 2x1 Ghz, 1GB RAM, 16GB NAND-memory, 4.27 inch screen, 8.5mm thick, 116g
aaaaaaaaaaaand a superb SUPER AMOLED PLUS Display !!!
LGOS: 2x1 Ghz, 512 MB RAM, 8GB NAND-memory, 4.0 inch screen, 12mm thick, 137g
and a fine IPS-LCD-Display !
the price isn't the same...
Well and there is another LITTLE difference: I read (some weaks ago) that Skype will support TEGRA2 devices..
It is an important news for me.. Samsung has a custom SoC..
yep, but 2 version are come, Tegra 2 and Orion
i think o2x losing either in term of design or hardware spec.

Out of the 2, I'd go with the SGSII hands down.
Samsung has no HDMI... Something I really want on my new phone. The optimus does output 1080p, while the Atrix only does output 720p.

SGS2 is better, but I've heard prices up to 6000 NOK (about £600). It's very expensive, and the LG Optimus 2X is much cheaper.
And when are the SGS2 coming? April? May?

SGS II has HDMI in microUSB connector

I also would like hdmi on my next phone, and like that the 1080p output works on the o2x out of the box.
Will the sgs2 also output 1080p via microUSB?
I really wan't to use this feature to share movies via hdmi, so maybe the o2x is the better choice on this point?

SGSII is supposed to have MHL technology. With this protocol it's possible to output 1080p over a usb-to-hdmi connector. But we have to see it in action first to be sure.
Do you think the RAM will be an issue on the O2X? It's only 512MB when the SGSII has got 1GB?
At the moment it probably wont matter too much but I can imagine games coming out in the next 6-12 months that could cause a RAM issue. What do you think?
Samsung Galaxy S II - €699
LG Optimus 2X - €499
LG Optimus 2X is definitely the best bang for your buck, and if your a gamer, LG Optimus 2X is the one to get, as there will be a crap tonne of Tegra exclusive games. Yes, I am aware that certain models of the Galaxy S II will be getting the Tegra chipset, but all we know right now, that is region specific.

Motorola Atrix or LG Optimus 2X ???

hello
i love motorola atrix because he have 1gb ram and i love optimus 2x because have gyroscope,8mp camera and he have more performance than atrix
but optimus 2x have just 512 ram ! that not enough
look down
Atrix :
1GB Ram
WebTop
540 x 960 qHD
Biometric fingerprint reader
Optimus 2X :
More Performance
8MP Camera
HDMI With 1080p Playback
Gyroscope
i don't no what i should be buy it !!
yep im in 2 minds but i think im getting the lg as the atrix has 5mp camera and most likely a locked boot loader
You say that: 540 x 960 qHD in Atrix 4G, but the screen is made in PenTile technology so the real resolution is lower...
Anyways Atrix 4g from what i know is made for USA and it won't be here in europe for some time ;p
atrix just for usa ??
i’am from asia (middle east)
512mb... that not enough

How can you explain that?
Can you list which applications crashes due to lack of memory?

No! Atrix 4G only for USA.
In Europe it will be without 4G support (as I know)
About Asia I don't know
I think moto have only better battery.
Ive been using my atrix couple weeks an am falling out of love with it fast, after yesterday it ramdomly shut off 2x an today once sofar. The screen is beging to bother me the screendoor washed out look. Allready returned lapdock, that cant even compare to a real laptop in my opion. So im looking hard at the Lg 2x for an upgrade of camera, gyroscope, performance, faster upgrade to gingerbread, real mirroring, 1080p recording an play back, 7.1 sound, totaly unlocked phone. Yes 512mb memory is trade off, but operating system will handly that, an the battery is non issue, I'll have a spare battery or a charging source anyway. Not to mention not paying 20/month to not tether, an having my data speeds throttled down to 1.5mb down an 310kb up lat of 350-800. An Atrix doesnt do LTE

O2x or photon what is your guest?

Hi bros,
I am using LG O2X right now but I find a motorola photon little price.
What should I do? Whice device is better then other?
To buy the photon is a adventure or right decision?
I am really confused...looking forward to an honest suggestion from the experts
Thank a a lot for your suggestion.
Sent from my LG-P990 using XDA App
Photon has larger screen and higher res (albeit with PenTile), more RAM and larger eMMC.
Other than that, they're pretty similar.
Hello!
As already mentioned - on paper the photon has the better hardware.
So…
What is the price difference?
What are your needs?
Will it get ICS soon?
Is it supported by Cyanogenmod? (Right now the photon is not officially supported…)
LG Optimus 2x is supported by Cyanogenmod and ICS is in the making.
For me the form factor was important – I didn’t want my phone bigger than the LG Optimus 2x so I decided against its competitors which are all bigger than 4” - and it was 50-60% cheaper than Samsungs S2 or the HTC Sensation XL at this time (August 2011).
And one year from now - both will be hopelessly outdated anyway – and the next generation (probably not dual but quad core ore more) with much more power, ram, better display etc. will be even cheaper – for sure…as always in this business…

GSMARENA compares lg optimus 2x to samsung galaxy r

Quite an interesting article for those who are unsure as both phones have almost but not similar specs, link http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_r_vs_lg_optimus_2x-review-713.php

The Optimus 2x has too little RAM. Major fail. They shouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Sent from my LG-P990
Did you read the article? In page 4 you can see that double the RAM without good software means nothing.
The Galaxy R has better specs but in the test wins Optimus 2X.
Even if O2X doesn't win in every category, it certainly wins in the price category. I bought mine for 326 eur and in the same store the galaxy R is 425 eur. Whatever the difference is in the test results it is certainly not worth 100 eur, in my opinion!

agreed, i too was considering the galaxy r a few months ago, but got the lg optimus 2x bcoz it was cheaper
Lets keep it simple and short, galaxy R if you want to stick to stock firmware with no oc .Optimus 2x if you want to flash custom tims and/or Oc!!
Btw o2x beats sgs2 @1.4 and 1.5 Ghz with sgs2 at 1.4 and 1.5 respectively

Its hard to compare the sgs2 with the o2x because its gpu is only capable of rendering color in 16bit compared to the o2x in 24bit making any comparison completly pointless users of the sgs2 are tricked by the samoled display.
Even if i could afford the sgs2 i never would have got it, if i wanted overprised crap id have bought an iphone.

LG 2X is better because it's more affordable.
many dealers back here in india have no stock of SGR,samsung have stopped production.
and those who have stock they are charging 23,000-25,000(INR)
SGR is good phone but was good only for 19-20k(around 400$)
optimus 2x is great at a cheap price with almost same features

[Q] Optimus G or Optimus 4X?

Hi guys, does ant one know what the 4X maximum possible data speeds are? Looking at the Optimus 4X phone over the Optimus G because it uses NVIDIA Tegra chip-set. From what I hear LTE is getting averages of 30-40mps and if the 4X can match that I see no reason not to get it. Does 4X support ATT or T-Mobile network?
Also how does the 4X compare to the G? Any one have any first hand experience with the two? Any recommendations between the two?
I don't know about network but in performance the optimus G is much faster . because its CPU support dual channels but tegra 3 has one channel .
And the optimus G has 2GB ram , but Optimus 4x has 1GB

Try Use THANKS Button If I Helped
Well I noticed all Tegra chip-sets have a max of 1gb ram and I would imagine that has to do with the CPU architecture... Could be that the reserve power saving CPU can only support 1 channel so they made the entire CPU support 1 channel so when power saving is on people aren't pissed off that their only using half their ram lol. From what I can tell this phone run's games pretty well and that's what I like, also I hear Tegra does a few things better than Omap such as SHA decryption. Its a tough choice between 4x and One x +. I hear for some reason HTC doesn't have One X + set up to use HDMI as an alternate screen like the Optimus and Galaxy X3 witch is a little annoying... I'm not sure if custom ROM would solve this or if hardware is in-capable. Another thing between these phones is that the 4x still looke like a phone where as HTC decided to give One X + a very odd shape and look and refuses to switch to IPS display's. Though I noticed the One X + has a better camera I'm wondering why no android or window phone can top an iPhones camera... Thx for the info about 4x and G i will definitely take that into consideration.

G using S4 Pro APQ8064 28nm cpu, this is better than O4X Tegra 3 40nm cpu, and also G have 2G RAM, Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
bout 4G cant give u any suggest, cause my place not yet got this service.
if ur burget enough to get G, it's better for choice.
AW: [Q] Optimus G or Optimus 4X?
Advantage of 4X is the SD slot. And of course the much lower price...
Gesendet von meinem LG-P880 mit Tapatalk 2
Everything the optimus G can do the 4x is capable of more less
Don't forget the camera too , I think Optimus G has better camera that don't have the low light problem of 4x 1
Optimus G has glass on back side also, which makes the device very stylish and attractive. However, that adds to the risk of the back glass cracking due to temperature changes as reported on the G forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2021651). You won't have such a risk with 4X.
The battery of Optimus G is locked and not accessible, no SD card slot (as mentioned above) are other reasons against G.
That said, I am interested to buy a G when it becomes available in India (hopefully sometime this month).
