A pretty gutsy claim, yes.
But I've been typing with this kbd for 2 days now, and I gotta say that with the general impreciseness of our screens, this keyboard allows me to type 50% faster than any other kbd on the market.
It has predictive text, but also searches for words that go with the prior word typed.
It also has the ability to learn from your typing style by analyzing your sms, text, gmail and facebook messages.
I highly recommend this keyboard for ALL zio owners.
You can download it @:

Very nice but at 17mb it eats up alot of ram. I'll give it a try for a while longer and see how well it really works.

Its a beta release, so there are going to be bugs Im sure. Works 100% for me, and Im tellin ya, its far superior to all kbds I've tried. Even ultra kbd 0.o
Yeah, it does take up a little more RAM, but for the functionality, and the responseness of the program, I dont mind. Also being as it is a beta release, there might be some more code trimming to be done that will reduce the amount of ram.
But, If you think about it, its one of the most important apps for your phone; your keyboard. With that said, I wouldnt mind if it took up 20-25Mb, as long as it performs just as it does now. With my ROM installed, Im still at 55Mb-60Mb free RAM with it installed (and thats NOT stock -- on an established system).
I got the Language pack Error as well. Go into Settings/Language Profile/Language and download the English or whatever language you use.
I have purchased swift key and have been using it for over a year now. I rarely need to use more than two or three key strokes per word. The way it predicts the next word is simply amazing. Hands down the best keyboard replacement out there. Those of you who are using the beta version and having trouble with it should try the 30 day trial of swift key without the X available on the market.

Download the English language pack by opening SwiftKey X from your app drawer.

Funny thing is I bought the program a year ago but hardly used it, way quicker than smart keyboard.

Nice to see you guys comin' around to SwiftKey. i've been using it for quite a while and got in on the VIP/beta program for 2/X. It's gotten better and better over the last several months.
Option to apply skins is planned, too, FYI.
After using this keyboard for about two weeks, all I can say is SIMPLY AMAZING. The way it predicts words is phenomenal I rarely even have to type anything as it pieces together sentences for me almost flawlessly. I highly recommend this to anyone frustrated by the lame stock keyboards from android, or I would put it against any of the slide, swype style keyboards any day.
SwiftKey was super slow on my Zio. I'm not sure why everybody has such luck with it. Smart Keyboard Pro is way faster and uses up less memory. The text prediction really does suck though
Check out ThickButtons. Free. Best for zio IMO
Yeah I'm gonna go ahead and say swiftkey speech to text for the win I'm using it right now

Seconded. I've been using SwiftKey since it was a free beta, trying out all kinds of other keyboards in between. SwiftKey is the only one I keep coming back to. It's just so polished and fun to use.
Not sure exactly how it does it. But the predictive is amazing.
it was free in amazon app store the other day, i love it best one yet.
Hey guys, figured I would give you a heads up. Free app today is SwiftKey keyboard X. It's on of the best kb on android, very intuitive. It's surely worth a look.
Here's the link:

Yea. Im it really is a great keyboard. I'm not sour at all about buying this before amazon made it available for free. I was glad to support the developers.

any ideas why the amazon app store keeps failing to download successfully?

Cog 5 v1.00 (2.3.3)
Hey guys,
Why do we have to input our credit number and information if it is for free?
Is the free only for couple days? And after that, they'll just take the amount off from our credit card that we have provided?
I din't know how the free stuff works from amazon.. Pls help
Thanks!
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I896 using Tapatalk
The reason why you have to put in your credit card is because amazon wants you to be in the "one click" environment. The apps are free and are usable as long as you have the appstore installed on your phone

Tried it out and liked it, just not as well as the iphone keyboard emulator that I have been using for awhile. I have to have a big space bar.

Give it some time, and use the sms learning feature. After a while for frequently used texts, all you need is spacebar to text, very quick and convenient

Try smart keyboard pro. You have the option to make the spacebar bigger and longer.

Its in the market, there is a free version. I was so happy when I found it as when I switched from iphone I really missed the keyboard. Just look for iphone keyboard emulator.
I get their apps EVERYDAY. I seriously wait until 2:30 a.m (cst) and then download the app. I don't always install it. But It will be in "my apps" on my account so I can redownload and install the apk whenever I feel like I need an app or just want a new game.

I have used swype, swiftkey, t9, better keyboard, even that ridiculous rotary keyboard.
I am a keyboard geek (among other flavors of geek).
I gotta say, A.I. Type keyboard (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.aitype.android) is simply amazing.
It seems smarter than swiftkey and is completely customizable. (Background images, colors, layout, even keyboard type (iphone, windows 7, gingerbread among others).

My keyboard of choice right now,,,
Is TouchPal Curve. Was lucky enough to get my hands on the beta and have been loving it every since.
Gonna give the one you mentioned a try, never know if its better for me till I check it out.
Twas not lucky enough roger the curve invite. But widget t9 AND swype for free from amazon. (Free is my favorite color :-D)

I like this new keyboard! I'm not a fan of the swyping technology even though I have touchpal curve.
This keyboard's service runs 22 MB though! Don't know if that's normal but that seems like it may drain battery.

Just tested out A.I Type as my landscape keyboard. Pretty dang good!!! Opened u my note pad and just started typing without looking back. 100% accurate over 30 lines of text. Swype and Touchpal Curve have never come that close for me!!!

That's why I just stick with a stock Gingerbread keyboard. As much as I love these "Smart" keyboards, they eat up so much battery.

After reading various reviews about this keyboard, i've decided to stay away from it. Some users have reported huge battery drains. Aside from this, it appears that every keystroke is uploaded to the developer's cloud server, with no explanation given. Sounds like a keylogger to me.

I also was able to get a beta copy of this TouchPal keyboard, but for some reason it conflicted with my hardware keyboard by disabling my shift and "secodary yellow" button :\ and since I'm a big keyboard user, that was my only reason to uninstall that keyboard. I'll admit, it seems better than swype, but again, I use my hardware keyboard 75% of the time n I kinda can't live without my shift and yellow keys

Is it possible to put the galaxy note 2 keyboard on the One? Does it need to be rooted?
I really like the 5 row setup. I tried hackers keyboard as an alternative but didn't like it. Too many extra keys.
The note 2 keyboard was amazing.

Have you tried using Kii Keyboard? It has an option for the number row and when it shows up too (portrait only, landscape only, both). Only thing though is that it's a paid feature, although they let you try it out for an hour.
I'll give it a try. I've not used that before.

The Kii keyboard seemed to do the trick... But I'd still love to get the note 2 keyboard for free instead of spending the money. Is that part of the Samsung os?
Can it work on sense?

I don't think it would be as simple as installing an app if that's what you are thinking. Keep in mind the Note 2 keyboard has the handwriting input option and other Note 2 specific features. I, too, would love to have the keyboard. I think someone more experienced with this stuff than you and I could figure it out but if I were you, I'd just look for the best alternative.
