Honeycomb Music apk on Vogue - Touch CDMA Android Development

*looks around, seems the party is just about over*
If anyone is interested, I have managed to get the Honeycomb music app running on the Vogue and streaming music works. You will find the best instructions on getting this up and running here. There are lots of questions about this app that have yet to be answered but this is a great find for space challenged folks.
Have fun!

thanks! I'm pretty hooked on Cubed (which fits the Vogue screen well) but may have to check this out.

Androrb- ORB for android- please check this out!

hey have any of you guys seen this? http://www.cyrket.com/asset/943468869273605197 its orb for android, only problem is there is no search function for it!
do any of you mods or gods (cyanogen, etc) or normal folk (lol) know how to or could you add a search function or sort in artists, albums??
its open source now, so you could even make a quick buck!
http://christian-albert-mueller.com/blog/androrb-now-open-source/
I love this on the iphone, so it would be really great for android!
80 views and nothing?
I've been using that alpha for awhile now. Very buggy, video playback is sorely lacking codec support, music playback is marginal at best. Lack of search function and cumbersome file browsing make this app fail imo. Needs help badly but could be a cool package with some work.
Wow, almost made a new post because this one is dead.
I mean c'mon it's Orb for Android! I'm pretty geeked at how some of the videos I sampled from PC actually streams on here! C'mon surely there is someone that's interested in picking up the open source code and adding in better browsing options like browsing by folder & search! This have potential to be one of the most kickass apps on here!
i had orb streaming live tv and my media from my pc but it broke after cupcake for some reason i would love an app for this
Bump... This app needs some work!
Not working on Droid
I gave up Windows Mobile (which worked pretty well with Orb) and got a Droid yesterday. It is a fantastic device, but I have been pretty disappointed with the lack of Orb support. I would be willing to pay to see a stable Orb app, and a Hulu app too! (it would be nice if Orb started to stream Hulu to mobile devices, I know they already do some internet vids).
What's wrong with just using the mobile browser site? I've been using it almost since I got my G1 and it generally works fine.
I saw that this is now open-sourced but not a single dev has picked this up to finish. I see that it has great potential and a lot of the base has been completed, just needs some fine tuning.

[REQUEST] Texts From Last Night

Blackberry and iPhone users have one, so why don't we?
I have found one app (here: http://www.androlib.com/android.application.collegelabs-tfln-znwt.aspx) but the reviews are poor, and the QR code doesn't pull it up in the market. I've got the .apk but it won't install (running CDMA hero with the Fresh 1.0 rom).
Is anyone else interested in us getting a TFLN app?
It's not hard to set it as a bookmark. That's what I do.
I dunno a software would sound entertaining an easier than going to the website.
TFLN app
@riotkid976
There is an app on the market called TFLN, the one you found on androlib. The dev just added support for cupcake (which is why would couldn't find it) devices so you should be able to download it now.
sweet. thats pretty handy!

Honeycomb and NC Future

Android Devs today posted a new highlights of Honeycomb (3.0) for Developers. I won't even pretend I know how to get started using these tools, but I thought I'd post them for you guys to take a look at:
http://developer.android.com/sdk/android-3.0-highlights.html
Imagine the Nook Color running this UI, it'd be amazing! Everything about this just really looks like it could make the NC way better than it is now, and it's already super cool.
By what I've played with in the emulator. its just as "heavy" as gingerbread or froyo. So performance wise you should not see a difference from what is in froyo

Oh well, if it stays at the same performance level but actually increases usability in a more tablet sense, I'll be happy.
Someday......

can't wait to some pulls keyboard i would love to see if works with NC Froyo.
I dumped most of it into Windows to sift through it...won't be able to tell you much till my screen protector cures on my NC. I want to see if we can't push some of the other .apks to NC...but I'll be happy with theming for now.
i couldn't find the honeycomb post here on the forum but

Sorry, I see what you're talking about now lol. You meant the story about deeper_blue managing to make a zombie run of 3.0 on his NC. Must be nice to be blue
The latter was my point. Of course Google released the SDK.

I have been looking around on forums for development of Honeycomb on NC. I have looked through the NookDev site, the Cyanogen site, and here (XDA). Is there all ready a team, organization, or thread where people have begun work on developing Honeycomb for the NC?

Here is the tegra optimized flash player from the Optimus 2X dump

I'm suprised I haven't seen anything in this forum about this, but the system dump from the first tegra 2 phone has been around for a while. Here is the system dump thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=931114
The libflashplayer.apk is attached.
It works great for me on the adam rom.
Vimeo HD is a little choppy but way better. ESPN3 is like butter. I put this is the dev section because I believe there is much that can be done with this system dump for the betterment of the community.
Thanks! I'll have to try this out later. I've already seen pretty good performance with flash so this should be even better.
Thanks! I'm going to check this out as well. I wonder if one of the devs can find something that can help with the gameloft games.
Hmm... installed on my GTab, and all flash video crashes now. I tried Youtube, and TheDailyShow.
Edit: Running Vegan 5.1 with Pershoot's kernel
Causes force closes of both my broswers anytime flash is needed. Went back to flash with the hulu fix. Works great
can someone please get this optimized version to include the hulu fix?
Moved to themes and apps
Not working in BitTrix CM7 in the Browser or Fennec 4 beta5pre.
YouTube app works the same as it did before.
Has anyone tried the widgets and other apps from the Optimus? I've seen some floating around in XDA but can't try them out yet. Just wondering if anyone already did. Especially the weather widget. That looks nice.
The weather news widget works for me in the above stated configuration

Transformer Froyo System Dump/Apps

Not sure if anyone else was following this thread here in the Asus Transformer subforum, but apparently some people got units shipped to them with the development Froyo build on them. Looks like one of them made a system dump of it, full of 2.2 versions of their apps and other goodies.
Post with System Dump
So far, looking just through the app apks, I found their Launcher, Music, and Gallery apps and they work pretty good on my GTablet running Vegan-Tab Ginger... the music one is better than the stock 2.2 music app IMO.
I am not as technically inclined as some people on this forum, so I didn't dig into anything else. Maybe we might find some other useful things in this dump that I haven't noticed yet.
I just unzipped the dump onto my flash drive, inserted it to my tablet, went to the /usbdisk/system/app directory (or the system/app subdirectory if you put the dump into a different folder), and installed the apks there that looked interesting.
So far, I installed Launcher2.apk, MyMusic.apk, and MyGallery.apk (I think those are the names, forgive me, I am at work and don't have the tablet with me). The MyWater Live Wallpaper apk is there too (under a different name, but you'll see the file icon is water and ice cubes), but I haven't installed it since I have the version from Honeycomb working on mine. The 2.2 version of MyWater might work better for us than the 3.0, I haven't tried it yet.
Since the dump came out pretty late last night, I didn't have much time to play with it, but I am going to mess around with the apps some more tonight and see if there is anything else of value.
If anyone else finds anything good, please post your findings!
Oh yeah, the boot animation is in there too, but it looks like the ASUS logo, so I didn't mess with it on my Viewsonic tablet. lol
I wanted to do some screenshots last night, but I didn't get a chance to since it was late. Tonight, I'll hook up the tablet to the computer and get some shots to post on here.
As for the MyWater live wallpaper, take a look at this:
