This has been discussed before. As of now, there is no winmo 6.5 or android available for HD7.
You can't expect it soon anyway, If there ever will be one.

thanks for your answer

Why would you not obtain a HD2?

some questions

Hey guys, I have been reading for a couple of hours on this forum and found some great info, but I'm still having some questions
1. dutty's rom, I've seen it on youtube, but is it actually faster than the normal rom? I mean, if you use tomtom by example, do you get better framerate on it?
2. if you put dutty's on, do you still get support from htc? like don't you void the warranty?
3. I've seen some original rom files, but if you put that on, doesn't it change the windows mobile license?
4. if you have dutty's, can you still copy contact info from msn into the contacts?
I have quite some experience with linux and windows programming, but to this mobile stuff, I'm totally a newbie
thanks

Your best bet is to go to kaiser rom development sections and read the stickies there.
1. yes, its faster
2. u loose warranty, but there is a tutorial how to revert it to the original rom in case of warranty
3. ?
4. never used that, buut I think yes
at 3 I mean: When you get an original rom from the forums, does it give you a different windows license? or is that just something inside the phone itself?
and, if dutty's is faster, does that also mean a longer battery life? I read something about better video drivers
thanks for the answers
I probably go for the dutty's now I think

battery life, reception, camera and some other things are influenced not by the rom, but by the radio rom.
Sorry but I dont understand what u mean by license. I am not from english-speaking country.
I don't think licensing is that big a deal with a phone. Infact I'm not sure if you can purchase a retail copy of windows mobile. These aren't home made computers.

I would recommend you to try TouchFLO3D, since it looks almost the same as Manila 2D but is much nicer to look at. There's different versions available, you can also use it as a panel.
i tried it but too much touching to use it. sometimes, old systems work better than new ones.....(vista/xp for example
Seven beta/vista example...
i realy like windows 7 beta more then the finally windows vista....
lesser bugs ... much faster .... looks better.... everythings working
Love windows 7.

First step would be WM6.5 (coming this year). We will probably be able to do that without big problems (CPU/RAM/ROM is all best-in-class) but maybe not officially...
With WM7 we need to see as it is more than one year ago which is like eternety for mobile devices...

Could you please tell me what the differences are between TF3D, Manila 2D and Touch-HD?
I tried to find it in the forum but I couldn't find it.

HTC Touch and Android

Hello,
Apologies if I'm in the wrong place (again).. I'm trying to buy a new phone and would love to run an android port on it. I'm currently looking at Sprint - at the HTC Touch Diamond ($199 after rebate etc) or the HTC Touch Pro ($299.. less desirable) the sprint site doesn't mention a querty keypad for the Touch Diamond.. Is it fair to assume the Touch Diamond is not a good candidate for android - or is there a touch screen keyboard now?
I'm really sorry if this post is off topic.. I've been all over the intertubes trying to find a good smartphone that will effectively run an android port (I'm well aware its under heavy development) that will atleast make phone calls (or should be able to soon). If the Touch Diamond won't work - can someone recommend a different phone?
Thanks,
Keith
Well seeing as the HTC magic and Hero are both non qwerty it would be safe to assume that there is an on board virtual keyboard.

Yes I do google - a lot.
If you read the last sentence of the first paragraph - you would notice I'm referring specifically to the android port.. I got my phone already, thanks.

you should check --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=658780
I don't think WP7 would run on this phone, it needs a lot more firepower. If you want a more up-to-date OS, you might want to try Android. There's a lot of development for Android on the Kaiser going on here. It runs pretty well, and you can even get a WP7 theme for it if you want. Hope this helps.

[RSPL for HD7 already created by cotulla..!!!!]

Cotulla did his magic AGAIN...!!!
Look at the picture that he posted today on his ftp server..
He already created RSPL for HD7 and i believe that the custom roms are near but also opens the door for other os to be loaded on the device.
:
That's fantastic news
sweeetness! too bad its not the hd7 lol but its a start!
That's not an HD7
yeap, te top&bottom part is more tiny on the hd7
also the camera button seems to be f*ckin´missplaced.
see u
and there seems to be a USB cable attached to the left side of the pic. Theres nothing there on an HD7.
This is a HTC 7 Pro with the slide out keyboard.
Fisrt it was the video with an HD7 booting Android then this?????
Great news! Cotulla you are our Digital God!!!!
Also on the picture it says "Sandisk partition info" so i suspect that we will be able to have dual boot option! Nice!!!!!!!!!!
Its a good news for me ...

That is just saying its got an 8gb Sandisk Microsd installed like all HTC WP7 devices. If you put yours into bootloader mode it will say the same thing.
The hd7 is the same peace of Hardware like the desire HD, isnt IT?!
So it must be possible to use the Software of the desire HD (i mean the bootloader and the OS) on the hd7
Oh i didn't knew that. Sorry.. Anyways i still hope that we can dual boot our hd7 devices..
Sent from my HD7 T9292 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App

wrong...
just because the size is huge, doesn't mean that the internals are exactly the same. Just like when everyone assumed the htc evo would totally help with development on the HD2, it really didn't in the beginning. Sure some things are similar but let's not make such a foolish absolute statement
nothing
I just hoping dual boot of HD7...
though it seems a little far away...
waiting 4 thisss

the hd7 has the same processor as the hd2 QSD8250 ...
look at here:

;-)
wow! cotulla is the king!
Cotulla's just great! Though they've only done it on the 7 Pro and the 7 Mozart I'm sure that it'll work on any HTC WP7 device because they have all the same bootloader, don't they?
@Hamido123: They don't even have the same processor! HD7: QSD8250 / DHD: QSD8255
Very Gooooooooooooooooooooooood
