Anyone who got the cursor moving by taping om the sides of the phone?
Mine works a few times, then it stops until I change keyboard and then change back to HTC ime. The taping works fine with stock lg keyboard and SwiftKey.

use the volume keys to move the cursor, much easier
I'm aware of that feature, but it's not what I'm asking for.

My screen now displays an auto correct when using the qwerty slider. It was there when I woke up. I didn't change any options, I didn't get any OTA update. Anyone know why?

If you have swype turned on, you get no autocorrections for physical keyboard
If you have the normal keyboard turned on, you will get autocorrect on the physical keyboard

Does the same area of the screen work in landscape you can test using multitouch tester from market.
And I think its only old resistive touch screens that need calibaration.
I'm not sure I've ever seen calibaration tool for capacitive screens.

Yes seems to work as expected in landscape, used check screen to check for dead pixels, alls good, installed a t9 keyboard and it works great, just have to use this one, no big worries, thanks for the replies

Any way to keep the autocorrect bar up permanently like with other keyboards? Keeps popping up and down and shifting the screen while typing..love the keyboard and would like to use it but this makes it impossible..

Oh I would love to know the answer to this! I hate that! I'd also like to know if you can change the autocorrect bar SIZE! The suggestions are HUGE!? haha.
Any other input? Thanks!
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
you can enable the autocorrect, but disable substitute words, you can do that from the settings, input, then samsung key board, xt9 enable then advanced settings mess around with that

Anyone else have a solution? I really want to fix this issue!
I moved on. I now use swift key 3.... Its a better solution in my humble opinion...

Hi, Ive just brought myself a 'Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini' i upgrade from a S1!!! Along time coming but i didn't want a bigger phone.
Anyway what the hell is up with the keyboard!!! I don't use the qwerty keyboard i use the standard 3x4 keyboard with predictive text on.
1, i cant add words???
2, the 0 key doesn't turn the predictive text on and off anymore???
3, im pressing WXYZ now and its writing a load of crap??? (we will work with you when you were working with you) surly it should just write loads of w, x, y or z???
I just want my old standard keyboard back not this new crap fancy one!!! Any advise would be great on trying to get it back or even adding it to a rom or something???
Cheers, James
I'm using swift key. Try it, it's one of the best.

Google Play has plenty of alternative keyboards to download.
I use Thumb Keypad: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.beansoft.keyboardplus&hl=en
Currently has 50% off.
Brilliant, use it on both phone and tablet.
Your keyboard configuration must be messed up big time.
Try to reset it

New here in the HTC one area so please forgive me if this topic was already covered. Being new to the HTC phone I wasn't liking the soft button lights turning off during the day light so this app basically keeps button backlight always on, as long as the screen is on.
Confirmed working with HTC one. KiNDA

UPDATE: The soft lights turn off on occasion and I have to toggle the power button to turn the light back on. Bug I guess but quick minor temp fix by hitting the button
UPDATE 7-/4/13: According to solid.snake (see quote below), Capacitive Buttons Brightness Works well

It allow to keep the keypad backlight on as long as the screen is on, or it can simply switch the keypad backlight off.

Are you able to see the button lights in the daylight? They seem kind of dim to me.
