I'm willing to install I9000XWJS8 on my SGS
Is I9000XWJS8 compatible with PHONE : I9000NEJP2 and CSC : I9000HCGJP5 ??
Sorry i'm new to the flashing scene, i'm trying to learn as much as I can from google search and this xda forums. I would be glad if you all can help me further.

[Q] UAE SGS want to change CSC and get an India/ASIAN ROM

Hi All,
I thought its wise to post to the forum so that masters can guide me. Situation is I got an SGS of UAE and it has no market. Kies says no update can be performed on this device.
I want to get Market on this and I am using this in India I want to shift to Indian / ASIAN ROM. I tried registry hack, but didnt work. I tried to just flash the CSC-xxxx.tar.md5 using ODIN , even though everything was successfull it showed back the same details.
Here are the details:
Gt-I9000
PDZ:JG8 / PHONE : JG2 / CSC : JG9
PDA : I9000JPJG8
PHONE : I9000JXJG2
CSC : I9000OJPJG9
Any ideas how I can come to Indian / Asian ROM and have the market installed ?
Thanks and Regards
Ravi.

Flash DDJG4 from samfirmware
Or you can just do this...
1- in the time settings, use 24 hour time format ( u can change it back after you finish)
2- in the dial pad, dial *#272*ur four digit time#
3- a menu will open, choose xsg then intall the market.
ps: this will wipe ur device, just make sure u bakup.
This will change your SlideME to Market... solved my problem!

[Q] Specific CSC file

Hi all,
I mean to flash a JPU+JPY version to my SGS. I understand almost everything needed for that target.
My doubt is that the CSC in my middle package is a multiCSC OXA which doesn't include my country (Spain).
1) I've read that CSC contains just APN settings. But also I've read somewhere that contains AGPS and wifi settings which seems more relevant to me. Is this true??
2) I've just found a 2.2 Spain CSC but not a 2.2.1. I'd prefer not mixing versions so, Where can i find a 2.2.1 Spanish CSC?????
Thanks a lot

Incredible this kitchen... Wow..
However I face two problems:
1) i don't know if i'll be able to convert the csc folder in a convenient tar.md5 to flash with stock.
2) It seems a JP3 based CSC which is 2.2. I read somewhere that it's not recommended to mix 2.2 CSC with 2,2,1 PDA...
Thanks anyway...........

[Q] Galaxy S firmware Compatibility

Hello,
To begin with I read the "Samsung letter codes to check firmware compatibility" and still need to ask this question in order not to do anything wrong.
My phone is a Galaxy S GT-I9000 (PDA : JPF - Phone : JPD - CSC : JPF (mid)
) it's on froyo 2.2 and I got fed up with this lagy/hangy version .
Could you please advise what is the best version of Gingerbread compatible with my phone ?
Thanks in advance for your advice.
