Demon Hunter - Captivate Themes and Apps

I love this game. Now the developer is blocking users on rooted phones. What is up with that?
I deleted it and emailed the developers, but they are in Korea.
Anybody with any ideas on what is happening.......

well that is just stupid then

Maybe the game stores files, that if you have root access you can mod them and cheat?
EDIT:::: Why would an rpg game need to be able to call numbers on your phone????????
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.bicore.dhunter&feature=search_result
These are some pretty heavy permissions. Maybe its a good thing you got blocked.....

I agree pjone state is one thing but making calls is kinda fishy

You can try searching for Demon Hunter v 1.02 thats the latest update before denying root access. Thats what I did. I would upload the apk but im not sure if I'm allowed to.

even the 1.02 will attempt to verify if your phone is rooted. Too many permission grants(super user) for a free app is very suspicious imo. Stay away from this game unless you want your personal info to be stolen.

I agree...stay away. Not worth it.

I have apps I purchased that I no longer use, is there a way to transfer ownership of these apps to someone else?

They are tied to your google account. So, NO.

Depends on the software dev. I know for a fact that AutoDesk only licenses the software and if you upgrade you either send it back to them or provide documentation showing that it has been destroyed. I believe EA has something to the same effect in their EULA, so, sometimes, no, you don't own it and you can't do with it as you please.

You could always just be nice and pull the .apk each time it's updated and give it to them

Antivirus

Antivirus? Is there a need? If so which one is best thanks
Try Lookout
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
To be honest, I doubt that you need it. As long as you watch your downloading etc habits.
I have no issue with odin.....If I were to catch something it's back to stock and reflash for me. No antivirus here. BTW - this is not advise, it's just my personal motto.
Thanks I'm gonna try agv or lookout if not for the antivirus then for the finding my phone if I lose it somehow

I've also been using NetQin which has a lot of great features that others only offer in their paid versions.

seconding this, just make sure the app you download only has access to what it is suppose to do, on a side note, I use antivirus free.
I feel they are pretty pointless as long as you get all your apps from the market and read the reviews before downloading anything.
Just be smart about what you download.
it only wastes battery.
go look at any thread about "crappy battery" you will notice 1 thing!
they all run antivirus
One word LINUX.
That is what android is. It will only do what you tell it to.
As others have said watch what you download. The only way to infect your phone is by your own mis-judgement. There are no auto installers, you have to approve everything you do.
That being said why would you need an anti-virus?
I mostly agree with that...
However, with the recent issue with Google pulling several Malware apps from the market(most that were duplicates of legitimate apps)
I am a bit worried about where this is heading.
Although I suggest using Droidwall
With a white list to only allow specific apps to access internet.
Listen, I'm brand new to the cappy, so I'm here to learn, and new to Android, and I just learned tho ditch my a/v!

How about a hammer or better yet don't lose your phone.
There are a few on the market. Lookout Mobile Security get 4 1/2 stars.

Words with Friends

Words with Friends. Wow, is this the most buggiest app or what? It's a shame because the game itself is incredibly fun. But there's constant force closes, unfinished games get erased, constant reinstalling and resigning in, sending a word takes forever...
Am I the only one?
If you have an ad blocker, that will mess it up.
I had it for a while but I uninstalled and I'm waiting for some serious updates. the iPhone/iPod version is sooo much smoother. it also seemed to be using a lot of battery

I totally agree. I am playing games with my girlfriend, my sister and a couple of mates including one whose moved abroad. For that, it's awesome, but yeah the constant crashes, glitches and having to hack about with the hosts file is annoying. I would pay for a premium version if they could nail these issues and lose the adverts

First time hearing that, good news. Lets hope Wordfeud won't screw it up on the iOS platform like Zynga did on Android.

Box.net offering Free 50Gb Lifetime Cloud Storage to Android Usrs

Box.net is offering free 50GB cloud storage for life if you sign up from your android. DL the app, sign up with a new email address and upon completion it gives you a message that you now have 50Gb. Normally it is only 5Gb so this is a heck of a freebie.
Not sure how long it lasts so go get it.
Please remember to hit the thanks button!

Yes it is this has been out for a loooong time. And there is a 100mb upload limit (ouch!)
I only just heard about it but double checked... this deal has been going on for four days for Android users. Hardly a looong time. Further I did not see it posted anywhere and so thought some folks could actually benefit from knowing.
Oh and since you knew about it for so looong, where is your post letting the rest of us know about it?
But hey, thanks for being a thread-crapping douche rather than a contributing member. I'm sure we all appreciate your involvement.
Thanks! I have NOT heard about this yet. Its always nice to have backup space, especially 50gb of cloud storage.

So, box.net has been offering 50GB to LG users for awhile and the post you reference seems to confirm what i said... that the deal for all Android users has only been live since the 23rd. You will notice that I posted this in a Samsung thread who's users may have missed this posting in an LG thread-I know I did and I even searched for it.
Again though, I was just trying to help people and he was just trying to thread crap. I'm pretty comfortable with calling him a douche for it.
I apologize to anyone else I may have offended with my coarse language.

Literally just downloaded the app and registered from the app itself. After putting in an email and password, I got a message that says I was upgraded to 50gigs for life.
Thats because you should have. The promo is still running. The guy before you was talking about the storage space dropbox.com offers
Can anyone confirm if the 50GB free is over? I just read this thread, installed Box from the Market, and I only have 5GBs...

NFL mobile app BLOCKS rooted devices!

New update to NFL mobile app actually blocks rooted devices! I guess Verizon is either paranoid or thinks they own MY phone and can dictate how I use it! I'm off to search for a way to subvert this on my way to giving this app the review score it deserves.
Please feel free to weigh in with any thoughts or suggestions. Like a root user is going to just sit there and give up...yeah, good one Verizon...hey look at that, is that a KICK ME! sign I see on your back?!?!

Ya I would think there's a way around it. Sq lite maybe? Not the best at bypassing stuff
I don't particularly mind. Never used it much. What pissed me off was VZW decided to add NFL Premium to all the lines on my plan without me asking for it. That's $6 a month per line I never asked for. Soon as I saw that I canceled it.
