When I call someone, or am called, my phone has no sound.
Sound works with everything else though.
Anyone know a fix?

Today i had the same problem, I've answered a phonecall and heard only some crack on the speaker and then - no sound on the incoming and outcoming calls, but every other sounds are played..., also I can turn on the loudspeaker and hear the cal via speakerphone but that is a no go for a cell phone...
guess LG screwed up with that earpiece...

I keep getting a crackling sound during calls, this is happening when using the phone with the normal mic/earpiece not when using the speakerphone. The other person does not hear it, today when it happened I turned to speaker phone and back to normal again and this stopped the crackling but isn't of course a solution. It can start at anytime during a call and so far the only way I've managed to stop it was by turning speaker on and off again but only done this once so can't say if it will work again.
I know about the speaker phone problems but is anyone else getting this problem when using the normal mic/earpiece?
Well I my Kaiser doesn't have this problem. It does, however, make a strange static sound sometimes after I end a call. But that's just weird, doesn't really bothers me.
Anyone else?
Hi,
I have had my Samsung i9000 for about 2 months now and really like it, I think its a great phone...
I just made a call about an hour ago and noticed that when I pressed the call button to make the call, and heard the call/ring tone, it sounded very distorted (as if the speaker was buzzing? but distortion decribes it better).
I have made a few calls since then to check this and its happening all the time during calls now....
Whats weird is that when I play an mp3 & put it on loudspeaker, the sound is perfectly clear??
Does anyone have this "incall distortion" problem or experience it before?
Are there any know fixes for this?
Really appreciate all comments/help with this folks...
Thanks
Dave
Bump... Still have this problem folks, can anyone help me out here?
Had this with a new SGS and got it changed (within the 14 days period).
Yep, been contemplating sending it to samsung, complaints my voice is unclear too.
The earpiece noise I believe is from the antenna, faulty shielding perhaps.

Only the bottom speaker works after I have a call. Don't know why this is, ma the its to protect the ear. I was listening to music on my phone both speakers working, had a phone call then afternoon phone call only the bottom speaker works. I'm having to reset my phone to get both speakers working.
Anyone else noticed this?
Thanks

Hey guys. The problem reveals while making a call. While on a call everything is fine to me but the person I am talking with hears himself in his phone's earphone like his voice is reverberating once wich is annoying. I tried switching several settings like noise reduction, extra volume or adapt sound, reducing incall sound but no difference. The only thing that makes it good is switching to speaker while on call and the reverberation disappears to the the person I am talking with. Any suggestions? sorry for my english
I have this problem also from time to time. Also my voice sounds muted sometimes to the receiver. This changes during the call.

there is a fix for this. You flash the call recorder and it starts working. Hope it helps

Hi there,
I have flashed my ROM to 4.4 official but afther that I've got a very bad problem with my sound.
After I answer a phone call or call someone myself, my cell phone's sound doesn't come out of speaker and it comes from the hearing speaker on top of the cell phone (The speaker that when we call someone hear his voice from it). This problem continues until I restart the phone.
What's my problem? What can I do to solve it?
Oh the pain and agony you must be going through now.
