Only the bottom speaker works after I have a call. Don't know why this is, ma the its to protect the ear. I was listening to music on my phone both speakers working, had a phone call then afternoon phone call only the bottom speaker works. I'm having to reset my phone to get both speakers working.
Anyone else noticed this?
Thanks

Title is self-explanatory..
When I call someone, or am called, my phone has no sound.
Sound works with everything else though.
Anyone know a fix?
Problem fixed (2 weeks ago), turned out earpiece was broken.
It got replaced and now everything works

Already broke ?
Doe je goed
Today i had the same problem, I've answered a phonecall and heard only some crack on the speaker and then - no sound on the incoming and outcoming calls, but every other sounds are played..., also I can turn on the loudspeaker and hear the cal via speakerphone but that is a no go for a cell phone...
guess LG screwed up with that earpiece...
So I fell into water with my new HTC one a few weeks ago and I was able to dry everything out and get the phone working. It was actually almost perfect except for there being some static through the speaker when on phone calls. There is however no static in speaker phone. Well just now the speaker became worse and now I can barely hear people on the phone. I was wondering if there is anyway the speaker can be switch to the other speaker that uses speaker phone while on calls? I have the ATT version but I thought it may not matter.
Yes just use the speakerphone toggle while on a call. Have you done that?

Guys I found something peculiar..
While on call if you turn on loudspeaker, only the lower stereo speaker works..
But while hearing music both top and bottom stereo speakers work..
Has anyone noticed this?
I am on stock 5.0.2..
Anyone with stock 4.4.4, have you noticed this same behaviour?

Yes I've noticed the same thing a while ago (I am on stock 4.4.4), I reckon there are a few reasons why, first is music and video usually have stereo audio so you would want it to use both speakers, calls are mono so doesn't really matter that it only uses one speaker, and the reason it will use the bottom speaker rather than the top (or both) is in case you have the phone next to your head it doesn't damage your hearing if loudspeaker accidentally activates or it fails to deactivate.
same here.
When I get phones calls people can't hear me but I have no problems hearing them. So is there anything I could try that probably could fix this problem ? I'm rooted also.
you damaged your front mic. only way for them to hear you is when you put your phone on speaker, which allows the phone to use the noise canceling mic
i can call people on htc desire 510 or when they call me i can hear them perfectly, but when i put my phone on loud and i get a message or someone rings me it only vibrates, no sound! when i want to listen to music it only works with the headphones , its really weird can anyone help?
No sound in loudspeaker
Suddenly the loudspeaker in my Nokia 8 (in Android 9) has stopped working. There is no ringtone playing when receiving a call, or sound when playing media.
The internal speaker is working, and I do not remember anything happening to the phone in the last hours.
The volume up key raises the slider for the sound, I do not see any indicator of no volume anyplace.
I have tried rebooting, but not help.

For more information: the speaker works, if I reroute the sound from the headphones to the speaker with an app lie Earphones mode off.
And if I blow strongly in the headphones jack while playing music the speaker works.

Did you manage to resolve this? I've exactly the same issue. Bottom speaker suddenly stopped working, when I blow air into the speaker I can hear sound.
Do you have warranty? This device is pretty much dead so if you have warranty you can try getting it repaired
No, I couldn't resolve the issue. If I redirect the sound from the headphones to the loudspeaker using some utilities, I got sound, but not ringing from calls.

If anyone interested, I got mine back from warranty repair. They replaced whole loudspeaker module - part number S0S0923M000. Its working fine again
