Hello,
I wanted to ask to see if anyone else had had success playing audio out of the HD7 to their car decks. I went to a local Best Buy store last night and tried pairing the phone with three different decks within their 'experience pod', I was able to have the phone pair, listen to outgoing calls, even initiate a call from the car deck however sound would not transfer.
I am currently running OS version 7.0.7390.0 at this time.
I was trying to play music using the built in Zune player, I have heard issues with Netflix and YouTube however I was simply trying to use the MP3 player portion of the phone.
I tried the pairing on two Alpine decks and a JVC deck. By being able to see the contacts on the car dash that tells me it is at least somewhat paired?
Any suggestions?
I use a a basic Sony unit to play music on the hd7 andhavent had any problems at all

You're just doing standard pairing correct, is there any additional settings in the phone to transmit music besides pairing the device?

I am having a bit of difficulty with my XDA Ignito on O2 in the UK (which is basically a rebranded HTC Diamond), and I am just wanting to know if anyone else has had similar issues.
Using the Touchflo music player interface, the device will connect without a problem, however after the first track ends the bluetooth connection drops as the music player produces an Audiomanager.exe fault. I have to then re-select the music player and it will allow me to play another track but the same thing happens at the end of the track. Interestingly the Windows Media Player does exactly the same thing, dropping the bluetooth connection after one track and producing a wmplayer.exe fault.
I have tried installing a third party music player, Coreplayer with the result that it will play more than one track in a row and does not produce a fault of any kind, however the Parrot remote control does not advance or retard the tracks, or pause or restart the tracks.
I want to try to work out whether the fault lies with the Phone, the Phone software, or the Parrot carkit.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Hello everyone,
I have a pioneer deh-p980bt car stereo that I've been using with many different phones to listen to music streaming over bt. I haven't been able to get my samsung captivate to connect for media streaming, but it will connect for voice.
Has anyone else had any similar fixes? I've tried many different roms hoping one would fix this problem, but haven't had any success...
Thanks
-A

Andy775, You may have already tried this but i'll just throw it out there. I have paired multiple A2DP BT devices to my phone before and I have gotten them all to work just fine. However, there were a few times when I paired them that audio music did not play through the BT device but only voice calls worked. I realized that my player did not have the correct audio output settings. I am not sure what music player you are using but are you using the stock music player that comes with the captivate?
Using the stock media player, open up the settings menu and make sure it the top row, center icon does not say "Via Bluetooth" while playing the song. Sometimes, the audio does not automatically switch to bluetooth output so you have to manually change it....dont know why. Right now, I am playing music to my BT device and the icon says "Via Phone" which means I can switch the audio output to my phone instead of the BT device (obvious but bleh).
Aside from that, I don't know how else to help you sorry. You could also try erasing the BT profile from the phone and rebinding it as well and see if that fixes the problem. Maybe the audio profile for BT streaming did not sync up correctly to your phone.
I am now using stock ROM with the latest update from AT&T. I have also used Cog's 2.1 ROMs as well and didnt have a problem.
my hd7 will not play any media through the moto s9 bluetooth headset.
phone calls work, but nothing else does.
-no ringing, no zune music or video, no radio, nothing.
normally this just pretty simple stuff. just connect and your good.
what did i do wrong here?
I know for a fact that video dies not work via BT. But audio and games audio work on mine.

HD7 Bluetooth audio problem
I've just discovered today that my HD7 when connected to a Jabra Cruiser plays music and calls through bluetooth but the audio from any video only sounds through the HD7's own speaker, this is so disappointing!!!
I thought that the phone is brilliant but the OS makes it a dissaster.
I have an HTC HD7 phone, and a Jawbone ERA Bluetooth headset. I can connect the headset fine, and listen to music just fine. Problem is when a movie opens up the sound will only play through speakers . Anybody know if there are any settings to change this or they ate so proud of their speakers you have to listen to them with no other option?
Best regards,

ive been trying to find that out myself
It is a known bug throughout all WP7 phones I believe. Bluetooth headphones do not broadcast audio during videos but corded headphones work fine.
It's a sync issue, apparently. Getting the video and audio to sync correctly over bluetooth is apparently difficult enough that MS decided it was better to just not support it that to do it poorly. Wired headphones work, though.
ridiculous
i truly love my hd7, however it is ridiculous that ms cannot get the bluetooth vid audio issue fixed....it can be done on android, it can be done s60 what is the problem....i'm kind of irritated about this....i enjoy watching my video podcasts when commuting and was stunned when i figured this out after purchasing my backbeat headset....very, very weak....
This only happens in my car but...
When I start the car, my handset connects.b, but the music will not play through the car. To get it to work, I have to wait until the car connects with my phone, then turn BT off and on again. Every time. Anyone else suffering from this.
My Bluetooth is working with my car. This is normal procedure that it will take a couple second to sync phone with car system. So even after a 1 minute even you load up Pandora radio or anything, it wont play on your car's stereo ? do you get any error message on phone ? The only thing which i noticed is missing artist and song title tag on my car's screen. I think it is caused by Pandora radio, cause when I restart Pandora, it will work fine. Try to reset your phone or 1st delete Bluetooth car sync profile and re-sync again. Good luck.
Do you have a Bluetooth headset connected when you connect to your car?
If so, go in to your BT device profiles on the phone, open up your headset, and disable media audio.

No message on the phone. I play though Google Music and on the phone it looks like it is playing as normal. I'm only using a simple BT device that conects through the aux port as Ford want a small fortune to supply the bluetooth adapter. I'll have a little play though, thanks for the advice.

No headset connected, nothing else via BT in range to connect to. I'll see if I can find anything else in the profiles though.
Maybe it's Google music. I will try to play music whatever it's store on your memory. I know it seems stupid but it's good to try it. I tried my nexus on my friend's car and no issues. He own Audi, I got Hyundai with navigation. Anyway there is not a lot settings regarding Bluetooth. Like I said before, might be worth to reset phone .
I have a similar issue and it is only with my car as well. It pairs up, the bluetooth audio controls on the stereo come up, but it doesn't play unless I hit play on the phone. After that, I can skip tracks, pause, etc. This happens about 90% of the time, to the point where it almost catches me off guard when it works like it is supposed to. This did not happen with my previous phone (HTC One M8) or any of the iPhone versions I had before it.
