Hi folks,
Discovered a really funny quirk with my phone this morning... went to take a picture with the phone held horizontally this morning and the screen showed what the camera was seeing, but at a 90 degree angle so I had to tilt my head 90 degrees to see the image... thought that was strange so turned my phone around to portrait mode but the screen rotated as well so it was still sideways...
Anyone else had this problem and know how to fix?
Crap, wrong section. Sorry
Can someone move please?
Although wrong forum section, I experienced the same problem although it only happens when I start the camera using WidgetLocker.

I have a problem with my Tilts screen, on some programs I can see a line running across the screen right where the bottom bar for the softkeys is located. When I am using the camera it appears to be green, and when i open up the tab for the options it is white, its not that visible to most people but I can clearly see it, and it and it is extremely annoying I will take some pictures of it later, just wanted to know if anyone has the same problem
looks a hardware fault to me...is it happening on landscape and portrait mode?
I have problem with horizontal line on the screen only in camera (3Mpix) mode. This line apper on the taken foto. I thin it must be camera ... I hope this will be fixed soon...
I send mine back for repair, because of the horizontal and vertical lines in camera mode.

it happens on both, the problem kinda reminds me of those old crt monitors where if you had the same thing on the screen too long it would burn in. the line is on the left side of the screen and looks exactly like the shiny part of the left softkey is.

Was it repaird or did you get a new one ? I now that it's diffrent in every country but how long were you left without phone ?
I'm still in the waiting, the TNT guy just picked it up. They promised me it will take 10 days max. This includes the time for sending it back to me.
So hopefully i'll get it back before 15 dec. I think they will replace my cameralens, since there is a white dead pixel on it. But who knows...
Im having the same problem.
I just received my MDA Vario III yesterday.
I installed the hardSPL and flashed with dutty's latest rom.
I also took a contacts pic of my dad, hehe.
But today, I started the camera and noticed a red line running across the cam.
So I took the picture, and checked the pic. It seemed the red line was taken with the picture. This does mean there's some hardware problem. Also, I found another topic on the internet with more people complaining about it:
Click!
I just called T-Mobile and they wouldnt help me cause the contract's on my dad's name. (A few years back when I wasn't 18 yet)
Anybody else who has experienced this problem?
i just took a pic of my monitor in low light conditions - i have a totally black screen with only the taskbar visible (light gray) i found that taking a picture in landscape mode, the night mode or some **** is causing all pixels along that line to darken (??) see this link for an example (3mp @ fine)
note: this happens in landscape mode probably because the orientation of the line of pixels is in line with the pixels of the camera (cant seem to reproduce it when the device is upright [ie the taskbar spans the 240, not the 320]) - this could either be the utterly _crap_ nightmode filter software or could be due to the ccd itself - i dont really know enough about camera technology to determine which is the cause (you think maybe the crap nightmode filter determines the gamma of horizontal lines based only on the pixels in that line? that would explain this effect and if so thats just plain ****)
My Kaiser has new camera. It took only one day to repair it. I've heard that camera in Kaiser is made by Samsung ... (it was mentioned in service report)
Now it's all ok. I wonder how long ...
Got my diamond yesterday and everything seemed fine but the g sensor doesnt appear to be working correctly.
I noticed it earlier while trying to play teeter for the first time. when i tilt my diamond from side to side the ball moves fine but tilting it length ways (top to bottom and bottom to top) does absolutely nothing. have installed the g sensor calibrater but still no change.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Jamzi
Also just noticed that when im viewing pictures, before i turn the phone round into landscape mode the picture is upside down?!
have i bought a dud diamond?!

Try doing a hard reset and see if that solves the issue....
If this does not I would suggest checking that you have a recent ROM, and then perhaps updating same...this may do the trick also...
If these fail then it may very well be that you have a hardware issue, return for warranty repair!!!
The best way to test your G sensor is with the pictures in album mode. Here you can rotate the phone in any direction and vertical and horizontal motions also. IF your picture rotates every time your good, if not then it's a hardware problem, and if that's so then take it in for a repair/replacement as previously stated.
Hello hello, for like 30 minutes ago something bad occured to my phone..
The screen got black, both in landscape and in normal mode.
For like a month ago I dropped the phone on the floor, and the landscape mode, when opening it I had to push it a little harder than normal, not that dangerous I thought, until now.
For like 30 minutes ago, I couldn't close the whole screen so I pushed it harder than normal and the problem occured, the screen got black.
The phone is turned on, I can hear sound from it by pushing the sound volume.
Please, does any1 have a clue what the problem is, or how to fix this?
Yours.
probably something similar

Thank you for the reply, but when I looked at it, they had a similar problem not exactly the same as mine.
They only have the problem when the screen is in landscape mode, I have the problem even if the keyboard is in or out..
I also noticed something, that the touch screen still works?
I can hear sounds when touching the screen.
My girlfriend is using my old Samsung Focus S (I've switched to a Lumia 900 a little while ago). She's now telling me that when she takes pictures, they get taken normally, but then they immediately rotate to be upside down.
Any idea what could be causing that? I know the phone automatically rotates the pictures to be right-side-up if you took them a funny way... but why would it rotate them to be upside down? Could the sensor in the phone be messed up?
Thanks!

I have no solution, but would like to add that you aren't alone with this one... Third party processing apps seem to recognize orientation properly, so I'm thinking it could just be a problem with the WP gallery app.
What OS/firmware version is the phone?
I was lying down on my back. Hands up looking at phone. I watched some video. I viewed some pictures. I turned it off and shortly after I got up to plug it into the charger.
When I turned the screen on to verify my alarm was set, the screen is normally portrait in orientation was landscape. It would not rotate. So, I unlocked it in landscape mode, which is a tad awkward just because I'm not used to it.
The screen would only rotate into landscape, or portrait, but portrait was upside down! The buttons for back or home were away from me. Turn off screen and back on. Same thing. Lock screen landscape.
So, I figure I'll go do that calibration where you put your phone on a level surface. It pops up in landscape and all I could see was a letter G and rest was black screen.
Rebooting fixed the problem, but does anyone know if I might have hit something or if there's a fix without rebooting?

Personally this hasn't happened to me but I have heard of it happening. From what i have read and heard is that the proximity sensor for some reason gets stuck. i have heard of people using the old flashlight trick that was used on the M7 to fix it but a reboot fixes it every time. So I don't think you bumped anything. hope this helped .
