I've searched for this answer a little and couldn't find an answer. I am using HC on my NC (but I had the same problem using Froyo). My home network does not show up in the wifi settings all of the time. I've tried "forgetting" the wireless settings but that didn't help. The router is a belkin 54g router. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
which channel your wifi is using?
try to use 1 to 10 only

hello pls help me regarding with my problem im connected on my wifi using A.P with my PCI mini usb, my device showing that im already connected but my problem is when i try lunching internet explorer and type in url like yahoo.com it always showed page cannot be displayed..i tried to disabled my 3G and only wifi enabled.i can access my wifi on my laptop and my other cellphone and only my touch diamond was not working..pls help me to solve this issue..tnx in advance.
Assuming all your other settings are correct e.g. IP Address, Subnet mask etc or using DHCP THEN the most common slip up is in start\ settings\ connections\ wireless lan. Click the power mode tab and slide the slider all the way across to best performance. That should do it!
i managed to solve my issue by doing a hard reset.
Hello everybody, I've searched on the forum, but I cannot find a solution to my problem. When I try to connect my iPad or my MacBook to the internet through my SGS I cannot surf the web. I mean, I can connect to the SGS via the wifi connection but it looks like there is no internet connection.. I am on Darky 7.0 rom. Is there any kind of setting which I have to make to be able to get an internet connection? Thanks for your help

Do you have a weak signal? I noticed when my signal is weak i can connect but the internet doesn't work.
No the signal is at the maximum but there is no internet connection..

Edit: Im in an area with HSDPA for data too, but when I switch to tethering via wifi or even USB, it doesn't switch to HSDPA. And it wont let me browse the net from a PC. Browsing within the phone works fine.
check your APN settings if they are correct
If my APN settings won't correct I wouldn't be able to browse from the handset itself, which I can do no problem. Its only when I tether.

I have tried setting up a static ip address, it says it's connected, but I still don't have internet access
Can anybody help?

I have a Belkin Wireless N, and I also had the same issue.
I also tried everything that I could, and nothing worked.
I have no idea if this was a coincidence or the actual problem, but my router wifi channel was set to 13. When I changed it to channel 2, my Incredible S connected to wifi instantly.

Check out this thread. Seems to be an issue with HTC phones in general - they only work on Wi-Fi channels 1 to 11. It can be fixed, but you have to root the phone to change the system setting that controls it.
I'm having a really hard time trying to connect to my WiFi at home. I can see the hotspot in the wireless networks settings, it even asks me the wep, but as soon as i type it it goes blank showing just the message "unsuccesfull" or "disconected". Anyone having/had the same problem? I can normally connect to other hotspots, it's just my home's that is driving me nutts. Could it be the router? Could it be the local netowrk provider?
Any help will be much appreciated!
I experienced this with my neighbor's router. Still no luck w/ it. Hope someone can help us. Ü
