Would love to see the Rom devs integrate hulu into roms. Lotus has it built in.

My dad was flaunting his evo around once again and it was about honeycomb this time and I was wondering what is tthe chance of the hero getting it?
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
From what i hear honeycomb is only for tablets.
But you can download pieces of honeycomb; like I got the honeycomb music player from this site under the galaxy tab section. Also I wouldn't be surprised if sometime down the road there's gonna be roms with honeycomb. I'm still waiting for gingerbread on my phone lol

But the evo isn't a tab, just a slightly bigger phone and it looked like full blown honeycomb, wasn't 100% but looked legit

Looks awesome and very user friendly. I wonder what the chances are for a port for the Revo?
http://m.androidcentral.com/first-look-teamwin-recovery-project-twrp-20
That is awesome...
It's only for Honeycomb Tablets though
It has already been ported to some Android phones i.e. thunderbolt been using it for months especially when that buggy clockwork came out and backups weren't working

Yeah, I noticed that it was ported for some phones. Would be nice to see it make it's rounds to ours, but this would definitely mean some "near brick experiences" would be in order.
Unfortunately, our guru in this field has been AFK for a while...
I would like to see it as well it is definitely faster

Looks nice - would certainly be a plus to have that for the Revolution
Official app now works on Bionic. No hack version needed to make video work.

Awesome. Thanks for the heads up!

I've been waiting for this. Now I'm just waiting for my friends to get a phone with a front facing camera.
Forever in limbo with the things we want for our Bionics. If it ain't apps, it's the phone, and if it ain't the phone, it's others who need to get an updated phone... It seems a lot of apps need to catch up with the dual-core world.
noob question will it support these themes, dying for that isms theme
I know it's my fault for even responding but...
What are you even talking about? Will it support what themes? There's not a MIUI ROM for the Vivid.

That's what I meant, I kinda feel ripped off with this phone and att's hiked prices.
I miss my EVO

You won't see miui until you see cm
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using xda premium
I am super keen on miui as well, and as it is based on CyanogenMod for drivers and behind the scenes stuff, yes cm must come to our phones first.
This was the one thing making me hesitate between the velocity and the galaxy nexus in the end, I figured it would be ported eventually and rolled the dice... hopefully I don't get snake eyes
I'll prolly end up with the next generation iPhone before this happens

You should have researched which phones of the current generation already support MIUI, SGS2 and and SGN already have it
Need input, guys.
I've got a Bolt and a guy off of Craigslist is offering to trade his two day old Revolution with extended battery for my Bolt with extended battery.
What do you guys think about that? How does your phone compare? Is there good development for the Revolution? I only saw a couple of active ROMS on here.

There's mainly one ROM creater, MT, but the thunderbolt is getting ICS and prolly has more devs. Its up to you. But LG support for this phone sucks. If you like the t bolt stick with it.

Are the ROMS solid? I don't know if this phone has the Zv8 update or not.

I have a bolt for personal and a revolution for business and the tbolt is a much better phone

This is my opinion but keep the Thunderbolt. I was gonna choose that phone over the Revo but I chose the Revo and I'd say it was my biggest mistake since I like the Bolt more but the Revo's community is quite nice and welcoming not so sure about the Thunderbolt's.

Haha. Yeah there are some prima donnas on the Bolt message boards. Well he's agreed to give me his Revolution with 3000mAh battery plus $40 for my Bolt with 2 extended batteries (2400&2600mAh) and Trident Extended Battery cases.
Are there any recommended extended battery cases for the Revolution?
Sent from my HTC ThunderBolt using xda premium
There are no cases for the revo that fit the extended battery. Sucks

As of right now the only way to root it is to manually flash it with ZV7. You can then use MT's tools to root it, get your update to ZV8, and finally flash the Broken Out 1.1 ROM (which is awesome by the way).

Got it. So just downgrade to ZV7 and then root.
Cool. I'll mess with that in a couple of days. Thanks for the help.

Welcome to the forum please feel free to post and ask questions, there are a lot of supportive people here that make the revo shine.
The downside is theres only a few rom devs the upside is the commun. While small its personal and you get the help you need quick. No cm7 yet but the roms we do have are solid and get updated quickly and often.
Well the guy backed out on it but I appreciate the positivity. Definitely lacking that on the Bolt forum.
