Do you mean that some of your sms appears at the mobile of the recipient and some of them not?
If so, did you test your SIM-card in an other phone for test purpose?
If it works with an other phone, your diamond is the cause.
If you have the same problems, your provider or SIM-card is the cause.

I tried to another device and works fine. I know that the cause is my touch Diamond 2,but i wondering if i can fix it!. I change ROM to Dutty's creme and my radio is 4.47.25.31. Thanks for quick reply!

The best thing is to test it under selected condition:
1. Backup your date from your phone
2. 1 x hardreset
3. flash original stock rom
4. 1 x hardreset
If you now already have this issue, I think it's a hardware problem.

I done this several times. Probably is a hardware problem. In this case what i suppose to do? HTC claimed, that this device isv just fine.

Have you flashed the original stock rom from your provider?
So what is the brand of your phone?

It is the hot fix from HTC.

I flash the original HTC ROM but it crashes many times of daily use. That's why i changed ROM.If there is aproblem on htc hardware, what i am suppose to do? HTC claimed that my Diamond 2 is ok. And they checked with sim card and nothing wrong come up...

i have the same problem with the original rom. many times i send a message and it doesnt get delievered, and its not because of the signal nor mine nor the recievers. the only way for the message to be delivered is to send an other message, not necessarily to the same person. I ve tried calling also to see if this would help the message to be delivered but didnt work. I ve reinstalled several times the windows mobile, but it dint fix the problem nor the hardreset. any suggestions?

How to change SMS Service Centre? Can't send SMS!

Guys,
any idea how to change the SMS service center on Diamond???
when I try to send a SMS I get a message that the message cannot be sent and that I need to check my SMS Service center number.
When I put a different SIM card from the same provider it works normally. Also when I put a SIM card from a different provider everything works OK.
I have searched through Diamond forum and haven't find any relevant information.
However i did notice that people had issues with this one in some other WinMo phones.
I tried 2 ROMs and the same thing happens:
SwiftBL 6.0 and panosha Shine On 1.3
My SIM card works normally in other phones (Samsung etc.)
Any ideas on this one??
Soon I'm gonna start closing instead of moving threads!
Yes i have got the same problem since i have updated the phone to the new 1.93
Since then i turned the phone back to other ROM's but the problem stays.
It is the problem with the Telfort Provider en other providers will send it directly.
Strange problem.
But where is the problem? In the phone or with the provider?

I had the same problem with 1.93.456_Radio v1.00.25.05
1. Turn back to only stock Radio version (may be Radio v1.00.25.03)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407956
2. Or, change your sim card with a brand new one.
Both solved my problem...

I've got the same problem with a Telfort SIM here in Holland (after flashing from 1.37 stock to custom 1.93 ROM, not sure if it worked on stock). Couldn't find an easy way to change the SMSC myself. It proved hard for me to send an AT+CSCA command to the Diamond. And I haven't found software that uses SmsSetSMSC from the Windows Mobile Version 5.0 SDK. So I could write it myself, but first I'll ask if Telfort will let me try a new SIM and see if it'll send SMS, because I don't want to return to 1.37..
Definitely a new SIM, I don't want to stick to one ROM just because of that...
By the way, provider is Telenor Serbia

I'm back from the Telfort shop. Showed the girl behind the counter how I couldn't send SMS and change SMS settings. Swapped SIM's. She could send SMS with my SIM on her Nokia and I could send SMS with her SIM on my Diamond.. I'll get a new SIM for free, problem solved.

Solution to problems sending sms

Some modern SIM cards use automatic SMSC, so the SMSC is NOT stored on the sim as delivered from the provider.
HTC Touch Diamond/WM6 can't handle this.
Unfortunately the interface does not allow you to set it (incorrectly reports network error)
Here is a workaround for different OSs, let's start with WP6:
1) Download the nice tool ATcommander from this thread
Url: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2715738
2) Unfold exe to the phone
3) Run the exe on the phone
Enter
AT+CSCA?Click send, verify that the number is not set or incorrect
Enter (substitute your providers SMSC, +4540390999 is danish TDC)
AT+CSCA="+4540390999",145Click send
(145 indicattes international number, see se eg http://www.developershome.com/sms/cscaCommand.asp)
4)
Boot it, and enjoy!
ADDENDUM I:
In below posts different syntaxes has been reported as needed for other (early Android) phones. Like:
AT+CSCA="004540390999" (no type and country code indicated by 00 not +)
AT+CSCA="40390999" (no type, and no country code)
Please try to see what works for the chipset and OS of your phone
ADDENDUM II:
For Androids like the Xperia 2011 phones (at least it works with 2.3.4) you can access the SMSC setting with a build in function.
In the dialer enter
*#*#4636*#*# (4636="INFO")select "Phone information"
Scroll down to SMSC and click "Refresh"
You will see an entry (including the quotes) like
"+4531300040",145for 3.dk in Denmark
And you can edit/enter the SMSC as needed and press Update
As you might have noticed, the format is identical to the "AT+CSCA" parameters above, so it is most likely just a nice wrapping.
Best Regards
Eske Rahn
PS this problem has apperantly been around for years, so the problem is most likely WM not HTC.
see e.g. http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-242938.html
That describes exactly the same error I got
ER
PPS Keywords, the errormessage:
"Try viewing settings later, or disconnect data connection and try again"
ER
Thank yo very much it worked for me just fine.
I had a problem with my new Xperia x1 and 3G sim from Saudi Arabia telecom Co.
The problem was unability to send SMS messages while I can receive them and sim cannot read sms network settings as well.
WITH YOUR WORKAROUND SOLUTION, I was able to resolve this trouble so, many thanks again and again.
I have HTC HD and had the same issue. About two months I have looked for solution for this problem.
And finally I got it ... here
Thank You so much eske.rahn !!!
Hi, not sure if this is the correct thread for this so sorry if i'm wrong. Have an SMS problem on my phone which is kinda similar to this. I can't send sms messages!!! They just sit in the outbox.
I have a mda IV which is unlocked and am using an O2 sim on it. Everything works great except that now and then I can't send SMS (texts), can receive them ok but not send. Tried my sim in other phones and works ok. Tried other sims in my phone and they don't work either. Also tried soft/hard reset. Have the correct number in the SMS settings and my phone registers on the network ok.
Anyone help please???????
update: i now haven't been able to send a text for 2 days. I don't get any error messages when i try and send.

Sorry for the late reaction, haven't reviewed this thread for ages...
This does indeed sound like the same problem. Can you see/change your SMSC?
If you already have the correct number entered as SMSC the workaround described will not help. The SMSC is provider dependant. There are many lists 'out there' with SMSC's. So google "SMSC" and your providers name, this should provide you with the correct number.

He he, I too wasted a lot of time searching to no avail, until I remembered that this used to be an issue on my old phones a decade ago.
Thanks for this - worked first try on my Diamond which was OK untill I flashed a new ROM (Natalay 2.100). When I tried to check the message centre number I got the cannot read error. It would read other sim cards and another phone could read my sim card (an Orange 3G sim). I tried changing the radio several times and was about to get a new sim card as it was the only other solution I could find that had worked for other people. I can now read the message centre number OK.
I love XDA comunity!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks it worked
big thanks finally my xperia works as it should
really thanx man it helped .... i've been searching for over 6 month for a way i could change by it the message center
Still doesn't work for me, when i'm on andriod..
it didnt worked for me !!!
I'm from romania ..i own a htc diamond and i just did what you told me to do with AT comannder
it went well until i had to send at+csca = "the number it showed",145
and it gives me an error....
i have tried in so mani ways.. even the => start/settings/phone/band
im finding hard to believe that i can't do anything !
Thank you for your time...and hope that someone comes up with a solucion!
thx for this very useful topic. Solved my problem in seconds...
Just to note that for Android this didn't work for me until I changed the number to remove the + sign and substitute 00. Also removed the ,145 at the end.
So, for example:
AT+CSCA="+31653131313",145
Would become:
AT+CSCA="0031653131313"
Not sure if this is the case in all builds, but it certainly fixed mine. The SMS in WM still works with this change, so no harm done.
thanks you are very helpfull
For Vodafone AU the SMSC was stored on the SIM but in +61... format, I alo had to change it to a local only number using:
AT+CSCA="0415011501"
WM still works and Android now works after that. Hopefully I don't need to go overseas for a while...
Thanks its work, with my HTC Diamond and Indosat simcard,
Thx you....
thanks very much! spent many hours hard resetting, talking to my service provider, etc. this finally works.
hi,
i face similar problems with htc diamond, wm6 & nataly rom. sometimes i do not receive some sms. i dont have a problem in the outgoing messages. only in the incoming. any help ?
Happy
I'm glad to see that it had helped people.
And sorry for the delayed reaction, been out of this forum for a few years...
But yes markzb, the implementation of AT-commands of the 'modem' might vary slightly. Thanks for the input on what syntax other phones accepts *ThumbsUp*. I'm not sure if it is an OS or chipset difference, but I would guess chipset...

Your sim card does not allow a connection to this network

Hi
I have a big problem with my N1, this day i used my phone as normal, calls, web and so on...
Now my phone are completly unable to connect to my provider Telenor, i have tryed the sim card in another phone and that works nice so the problem is the telephone.
My phone is a "Open phone" with this info:
firmware:2.1-update1
radio:32.24.00.22U_4.03.00.21_2
kernel:2.6.33-msm-tek...
buildnr:ere27
I have updated radio with:TheOfficial_Nexus1_Radio_Update_4.03.00.21_2 (for ere27)
I have wiped and installed my NexDESIRE-v1.2_REMIX two times without any luck.
WLAN works nice.
Are there anybody else that can help me?
Thanks
Regards

This was an odd problem.. I my self have a N1 running with a Telenor simcard in Norway, and i have had no problems, have been running Stock, cyanogenMod, + other roms, and never had any problems like this, now i'm running 2.2 and no problems what so ever..
Try Flashing the new 2.2 update this includes a new radio image. Remember nandroid backup first!.. and WIPE everything just to be safe..
LINK:http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=686631
This could also be that your phone are trying to connect to Netcom instead of the Telenor network.. try this steps:
Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks > Network operators > then select Telenor from the list. If every things ok, it should say "Registered on network" (sometimes the phone use some time searching for network operators).
BTW..: Wrong section, this one should be in Q&A
Hmm
Yes,this is pretty wierd sinse i have used this ROM for monts now without any problems.
I have read all evening but no luck...
The link you gave me did not work :-(

try froyo, thats my only/best guess on getting this to work again. Worst case call HTC. So you have tried the method selecting network operator manualy?
Jepp, i have tryed to change manualy between Telenor and NetCom but none for them will work, i now also tryed to load the phone with the ROM you suggested but no luck...
So sad... :-|

then i have no idea what so ever.. try calling HTC costumer service and ask them if they can help you, just remember not to tell them that your phone have a unlocked boot loader as this voids the warranty.. Sorry i couldn't be more helpful..
Thanks, you have been great help
Then i will pick up my Nokia 9210i and call HTC tomorrow.
Thanks...

I had the same problem, it may be a problem with NexDesire.
I flashed nexDesire and over night the radio died on me. I tried multiple different SIM's and ROMS (which I can account that work on my brother's Nexus One fine) with no luck.
I had to send it back to HTC, we'll see how it comes out when I get it back in a few days.
Leave the phone sitting for 5 minutes, if it still hasn't found it try doing a manual network search. If it still won't work, pull the battery, boot up again and repeat the process. I've had to do this 3-4 times a couple of times to get it to pickup my network.
Opps, that dosen't sound good...
This is a little cises for me sinse this is my "tool at work".
Should i go back too Mr iPhone ?? :-|
But thanks for info.

try to hard reset your device after that reFlash with official rom
you can find Rom official in http://www.shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=windows mobile&model=Diamond

you've tried to hardreset your device..??
yeah, htc doesn't react to hard reset, soft and bootloader
almost same story
I have a very similar problem .
The only difference is that my phone is a mda vario IV (t-mobile)
and my download was a different one .
If I turn it on it shows the t-mobile screen and turns off immediately .
Hard reset doens't work since it doesn't react to the soft reset button .
It would be really really awesome if anyone had an idea to solve this/these problem/s

You might have bricked your phone......Try getting into bootloader mode, if ya can do that much you might be able to load one of the custom ROMS or at least the right one
Yes , bricking seems to be the only explanation for this behaviour.
Why on earth did you try to unlock your phone yourself?!
If i have a problem , i go to a service center nearby and pay a fee of almost 10E to unlock my phone. They know what to do , even gine me waranty.
You are not the only brave person i see trying to unlock a headset by himself.A friend holds the record for bricking headsets. In 2 months he bricked not less then 12 headsets because he was to stubborn to take them to a service center.
Some things are best not to be dealt with. I personally am afraid to flash a W6.5 ROM on my headset , because i might end up bricking it.
I remember there used to be many threads related/similar to your problem.
Have you guys tried to search for that issue?

Cant call or Recieve calls on HTC ONE Please help

Hello everyone,
Been using my HTC One on 4.2.2 (STOCK) with no issues until suddenly two days, I could not make calls or receive calls nor send or receive text messages.
I called T-mobile technical team and complained but simcard seems to be working fine, I took out my t-mobile simcard into my iPhone and it worked perfectly no issues.
I went ahead to buy different networks simcards Three UK & 02 tried it both on my htc but still the same no signal or network, so its definitely something wrong somewhere on my HTC one.
All simcards bought and including my T-mobile simcard worked well on the iphone and not the HTC.
Which i find very strange before this happened my HTC has been working fine, please the tech geeks in the forum help me out. Has anyone encountered this problem and how did you fix it?
What I have done so far:
I have restarted or rebooted my HTC one.
I have reset and wiped my HTC to factory settings
I have done a soft reset
still no luck, I need help guys.
Everything works fine I just dont have network signal to make calls/receive/send or receive text messages, I noticed on the upright coner where the signal strength is there is an 'X' symbol included a screenshot.
Please help

Okay they should be able to run technical support for you and exchange it if there is still warranty. Don't know how Tmobile UK works but that's how it works here in the states.

I bought it off a friend which it does not have warranty, I tried flashing custom rom thinking this might solved the problem. I successfully unlocked the bootloader installed TWRP but I cant view my folders :crying:
Its says internal memory 0mb I read somewhere online to mount my sdcard I tried mounting it but it says unable to mount partition, I tried wiping cache none of this worked am stuck with stock.
Right now can anyone tell me how to fix this problem am having with TWRP cant view my sdcard folder, I want to flash official firmware 4.2.2. or flash a custom rom on the HTC one.
Please assist
I finally fixed the unable to mount sdcard issue with TWRP I guess the twrp I installed was faulty I made use of Hasson2000 v3.1 Tool kit it fixed it :fingers-crossed:
Now am back to square one flashing custom rom to fix my issue of unable to make or receive calls or text message, can anyone help with a direct link on this forum on How to flash Custom rom on HTC one S-ON ?
So far I have unlocked bootloader, installed TWRP 2.6.0, I know there alot of them on this forum but a noobie guide will be great thanks.
Just ad update: I have flashed Viperrom 2.6.0 now my HTC One has network and signal but I cant still make or receive calls what is really going on with HTC ONE m7?
Please if anyone has experienced this and fixed it please how did you fix this issue?
sme problem
I have exactly the same problem ice flashed new firmwares and new radios it's got me stumped
Dialer glitch / can't make calls
I'm not sure if this is the same problem, but when attempting to call someone from the stock phone dialer, I am unable to call. The phone will decide to call maybe 10-15 seconds later even if I have locked my phone. Apparently there is a bug with Skype that causes the phone to act funny when attempting to call. I had the same issue, and after ensuring the Skype service isn't running, and I am logged out of Skype, my phone dialer is no longer glitching. Worth a try before flashing, resetting phone?
You could also try completely removing skype, and all the files associated with it from your phone.
