[Q] I stoned my Sprint Tab during custom recovery. Need Help. - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Need help on my Samsung Sprint tab. I tried to "How To Flash a Custom Recovery Image on the Samsung Galaxy Tab" and messed up while rebooting the system at the end and wiped before the back up and now the tab won"t start. Some suggestions would be very very helpful. Thanks in Advance.

While I had an Epic and not a Tab, I have bricked my device many a time and the answer has always been Odin!
Just grab the stock image for your device, then grab Odin.
Open Odin, select your stock rom from your harddrive, and let it go. Has worked every time for me.
You can try this link: http://samsungflash.webs.com/apps/wiki/odin-multiloader

[Q] After my last root attempt

Hi, attached is a picture of what my tab is displaying after an unsuccessful root attempt. Can anyone tell me what it means and how to solve this?
Thanks
It's soft bricked. Grab the stock rom for your tab, load up odin or heimdall and flash back to stock, should be good to go from there.
And indeed everything is back to normal. Thanks a lot
I have a VZW SCH-I800 and used CWM to "Flash a custom recovery image" with the intent on getting gingerbread on my tab. I followed the steps from the unlockr...which now my tab has CWM 3.0 and my camera doesn't work, my accelerometer doesn't respond when turning the device, my auto brightness doesn't work, and when i have new mail it doesn't show the number on the icon. (just what i have noticed so far.) Since I have CWM installed is it possible to flash a stock ROM, say from a ZIP file on the SD card? Or is it more complicated. As i said the ultimate goal was to get to Gingerbread, but I will now settle for a working stock ROM.
Help is much appreciated!
The kernel for the CWM to work, will soft brick your tab with the stock software. Your best option is to Odin or Heimdall back to stock and root from there.

Do you know where i can find the Stock kernel?
You'll have to find the stock VZW rom, and flash the whole thing, or you could just pull the kernel out of the .tar file if you have something else in mind for just the zImage.

[Q] Bricked Gnote, no experience on the field

so i have been running Paranoid android for a while, and wanted to try this out:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2051904
flashed the latest cm10.1 kernel, and then formated cache, dalvic, battery stats, etc.
then i managed to reboot before i had flashed the new rom and got stuck in bootloop. could not access CWM any more
after this i downloaded odin after a few forum reads, and flashed different versions of CWM to see if i could get back in to flash the rom.
the latest one i have in it is this:
http://fs1.d-h.st/download/00033/pQK/GT-I9100_JB_ClockworkMod-Recovery_6.0.2.9.tar
as it was recommended in some un-brick thread. still no access to CWM
after this i flashed a stock rom, as i could not find any .md5 or .tar roms to use with odin, and i got at least a samsung logo on hte screen, before i got back to boot screen and was stuck there again.
CWM still not working, or showing up in any way.
out of obvious options i now tried flashing the pit file trough odin from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
and after this the samsung boot logo did not show up anymore. only boot loop
i am now going to try and download the older ginger bread rom and flash it trough odin, but i got no idea if it will make any difference.
otherwise phone goes to download mode just fine, and i got working drivers in windows trough kies.
im quite new to this, and dont really know what would work from here. ill end up hard bricking the phone if i don't get some help, and the trash can will be my n7000 next home.
any advice is welcome

EDIT:
flashing official rom again after the pit file acrually gave me a working phone again. also i now got 50 gb of drop box storrage for free, so thats nice

P7310 Boot Loop No Recovery

Hi All

When I tried turning it on last night it just got to the Samsung Galaxy TAB 8.9 load screen and no further. I can flash new bootloaders, roms, CWM and .pit files in download mode but nothing has worked currently. I am unable to boot to CWM recovery I have tried installing the stock rom and stock recovery with no Joy. Is this completely ruined do you think?
Any help will be GREATLY appreciated

Hi,
i have samsung galaxy tab gt-p1000 with android 2.2,
i saw on youtube: "How to update Galaxy Tab P1000 to 2.3.6 Gingerbread" (in order to finaly update it to 4.4)
after i run the ODIN with the PIT and PDA file, the process ended successfully but the galaxy stuck in samsung logo after reboot.
What can i do ? how do i first make it load again ? and how can i update it to android 4.4 ?
i neve root it or something, the first action i took is the one described above.
PLEASE HELP (+:
Thanks
Did you remember to wipe data and cache from recovery after installing with Odin?
If that doesn't work, have you tried to return to Froyo and see if it boots?
If you have a sdcard,
Put cm9 based thing in it, flash cf root with cwm(by Odin)
Then you can go recovery.
Flash cm9 first and you can go any ROM.
Don't forget to wipe!

Help me please. My Samsung Galaxy Ace...

Hello. Can you help me? This is what happens:
I tried to upgrade my SGA into Gingerbread 2.3.6 ( my SGA is froyo 2.2.1) . I install ClockWerkMod 5.0.2.6 in my cellphone. It was installed successfully, but after that i go back to the recovery mode, then i stuck in the Samsung Logo and i don't know why, (my cp is already rooted).
I can go to download mode, but the problem is, 1 month ago, after installing CWMode, i decided to factory data reset to fix the problem in the recovery, and now , i cant open my SGA, i tried to flashed it in the Odin, but it says "fail", and now im so nervous, i don't know what to do, hope someone help me with my problem. Thank you

Click to collapse
Factory reset won't recover you from recovery problem
Try:
Remove the battery for 5-10 mins. Then reboot
Code:
adb reboot
from your pc in recovery/download mode
I think that there is a problem with CWMode. I dunno what is that.
Also you need the following to flash stock ROM only on Samsung Galaxy Ace:
The files I have attached(Unzip them).
Proper Gingerbread ROM for your region(I live in India so I have Indian ROM)
Download from SamMobile
In Odin select OPS Cooper_v1.0.ops
Select all the options except Debug only.
Click 'One Package' button and select the ROM file(it is generally .tar.md5 and India's one is 238MB)
Click 'Start'
Best of Luck
