Hi,
i have samsung galaxy tab gt-p1000 with android 2.2,
i saw on youtube: "How to update Galaxy Tab P1000 to 2.3.6 Gingerbread" (in order to finaly update it to 4.4)
after i run the ODIN with the PIT and PDA file, the process ended successfully but the galaxy stuck in samsung logo after reboot.

i neve root it or something, the first action i took is the one described above.
PLEASE HELP (+:

Did you remember to wipe data and cache from recovery after installing with Odin?
If that doesn't work, have you tried to return to Froyo and see if it boots?
If you have a sdcard,
Put cm9 based thing in it, flash cf root with cwm(by Odin)
Then you can go recovery.
Flash cm9 first and you can go any ROM.
Don't forget to wipe!

I recently rooted my 2.3.6 Galaxy note and realised that I really did not need to root(Before rooting, I had to downgrade it to 2.3.5). Now, I am finding a way to reset everything back to square one, where it will be back to 2.3.6 and unrooted. Is there a solution?
My keyboard is also typing out nulls when I type any letter even with CWM recovery mode.

I was trying to install a stock ROM using PC Odin as I done many times before after taking it from stock to root using the CF-Root method. I wiped my data and install the stock ROM using PC Odin and got a PASS. It went through the install package screen and reboot. Now, however, I get the Samusng boot screen animation all the way to the glowing SAMSUNG and then it loops endlessly . PLEASE HELP. Was trying to install the Carphone Warhouse 2.3.6 November 2011 (N7000XXKKA_N7000CPWKK3_CPW) ROM. Using an Internation Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000.

Go to recovery and wipe cache and format data and reboot.
I can access Download (Odin) mode. No custom ROM was installed, just stock ROM that I could later root. Reads as follows:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: GT-N7000
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: YES (1 counts)
CURRENT BINARY: SAMSUNG OFFICIAL
Found Chainfire's post in the SGSII forums about TraingleAway. I just used the param.tar file for PDA in PC Odin and now I can boot again.
FYI I had tried using Q1_20110914_16GB.pit and a stock ROM in PC Odin and the re-partition function with no luck prior to this.
All is well. Thanks to Chainfire a.k.a. one of XDA's greatest members.
Now trying to work around the 'logo_q1.jpg' draw failed issue. Found post here. Hopefully it works.
Resolved. Flash back to a stock ROM using PC Odin.

It's been a while but I believe I had to use PC Odin and do as ac-milan is suggesting. Find a stock ROM (I thinK I used a Carphone one) and flash phone+csc+pda. Might try the param.tar file under PDA too. Can't remember if I tried it solo or with other files. Trial and error.

Hi,
My friend is having problems with his GT-I9000 and asked me for help. His phone keeps rebooting showing only the Samsung Galaxy screen when it starts. The screen keep showing for 8 seconds than the phone turn off. Then ir turn again and show the same start screen again.
I tried to acess recovery mode with no sucess, but I was able to acess download mode. So I guess I'll have to use Odin to recovery the phone but I don't know how I should do it. Had used Odin just once ot twice and it was two years ago.
Also I can't find any PDA, CSC and Phone files. He had ICS before it started to reboot and I can' only find .ZIP files for ICS and JB. Does anyone know how to use a Zip file with Odin or have a link to ICS .tar files?
Regards
1. Go back to stock: Flashing To Original Rom - Using Odin on GT-i9000
2. Root your device: Rooting GT-I9000 2.3.3 [India DDJV9]
3. Install ICS: Installing Ice-cream Sandwich 4.0.4 On Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000
4. Install JB: Installing Jelly Bean 4.1 on Galaxy S GT-I9000
ENJOY
