I'm curious if an all-in-one messenger exists or is even possible, and i'm not just talking about having Facebook or a.i.m on the same app. I'm looking for something more like how BlackBerry users messaging app works, where when an e-mail arrives, and a text arrives it will all show up in the same app with the click of one button.
If any already exist or if this is even possible any news would be wonderful
Thank you in advance.
Im not sure but maybe Nimbuzz does what you are looking for!

Tried searching the forums, but its telling me search is unavailable..
If this has been asked already, I apologize, but is there a way to have full screen pics for the caller id? Like in the iphone?
Thank you.
Not that I personally know of... I recommend having a look through market as well for something like that. I'll have a look for you when I get in front of a computer though (of other people haven't solved it foe you by then)

I found one app but wasnt really impressed with it..was wondering if it was possible to incorporate this as a add on for a rom? without using a third party app?
Years ago I had a Panasonic phone where Contacts could be refereced by small sound file. Like Voice sort of but stored localy and with better accuracy. A bit like gesture but with your voice. I miss this simple function but can't find an app for it. Any ideas?

A swift Google search landed me with this paid app, Voice Speed Dial. Think this is the specific app OP is looking for, from the description of app
The voice recognition is highly accurate because you create a "voice tag" in advance for each person you would like to call. It's quick, easy, and allows the app to recognize virtually any voice (there is no language barrier).

May be, OP can give it a try.
Disclaimer: I have not used the app, just suggesting it :fingers-crossed:
Thanks for your help guys! I will have a look at it.

I have the Samsung Galaxy Note, the TMobile SGH-T879. I have not found an application and/or ROM combination that will allow me to record telephone calls without using speakerphone.
To be clear, I want to record both sides of a conversation on all incoming and outgoing calls without having to use speakerphone.
Has anyone here been able to do this on this particular phone? If so, exactly what did/do you use?
Call recorder app by skvalex. It works straight out the box using cm10 but if you are on a touch wiz rom you must first change the system to r/w before installing. Only downside is it is 10 dollars but is perfect and does exactly what you are asking for. You also need to be rooted.

I have someone else working on the phone for me and I will pass a link to this thread on to him.
Thanks tremendously for your kind help.
I've been able to get nothing to work on a rooted but otherwise stock SGH-T879, which is supposedly different from the i717.

New (side-effect) problem from this ROM
It records calls just fine; but, a new problem has presented itself. The phone will no longer block calls in any call blocking program's blocked list. I have tried six call blocking programs, one of which worked before the custom ROM.
Does anyone have a suggestion for me?

Hello everybody,
This is my first post on this forum, although I have been an avid reader for almost a year. I got the courage to register and post because right now I'm really interested in buying a HTC One.
My question to those who already have the One is: Can you record a voice call (phone call) on the One? (with the stock rom).
I know last years' One X couldn't record calls.
(I sure hope I didn't break the forum rules and that this question has already been posted and answered. That Youtube video for those who registered was frightening [haha ]. I swear I've searched the forum).
i am also curious about this. i use call recorder by skvalex and want to know if BT headset call recording (2 way) is supported on the HTC one. can someone who has an htc one please download the call recorder app by skvalex from google play and try it out?
You'll need to use an app for this. I doubt any major Android phone (or any phone) will offer this as a direct feature simply because of the legality.
Most places have laws against recording a phone call without first requesting permission from the other person on the line. It's quite messy.

Yes and the post above yours says which app to try.
(Actually skvalex has posted an apk of the beta version here on XDA that works for a few days if you want to try it out for free)
The question is not whether there are apps, but rather does the stock *kernel* enable the apps to function as intended?
Historically, stock HTC kernels do not, but it is easy for devs to enable the feature in custom built ones.
