TOday i seriously messed up my us diamond, first off htc who charges 163 for replacing the screen org screen, which is the ugly yellow tint one, so i thought id change it myself, so i went out bought a screen from ebay (yeah i know) and when i try to swap out the lcds, following the service manual, the phone boots up but screen is dead >.>. so anyone here had any luck swaping out their lcd screen from the diamond?
Hey Everyone
So earlier today i dropped my htc and the screen just stopped working, if it were cracked you could tell ( but its not ), if the lcd broke it would turn on but drip colours.
could it be that something is disconnected?
and if i try and send it in the htc its to banged up and they will charge me 300 for another one.
any hellp?
Pay 300 is the best idea i think because mabye is not just the screen that died in the crash
yes hello, big headaches here, bricked a g1 then got a hold of another g1 with cosmetic issues to use the motherboard, this new one was locked, so i unlocked it (using the trackball tho so i dont know if it also had a touchscreen issue to begin with)took the motherboard out of it and put it in my old g1 that i know for a fact had no touch screen issues, and now the touch screen is completely unresponsive in my original g1, so i took the mother board out again put it back in the one it came out of, and its touch screen is also completely unresponsive, my question is can the motherboard be the reason a touch screen isnt working? if so how and why?
also, the mother board i swapped works in my original g1, it has a signal, takes me to the touch the green android symbol to begin set up, also does this is the cosmetically challenged one i bought but neither one has any response to touch.
any help i would really appreciate.
thank you,
john.
Hello, you are the owner of Xperia X1 and some days I see a black screen. It happened after I opened and then closed the track and suddenly the colors and pixels began to disappear until the screen became black.
I opened the phone, I got the ribbon flex and everything seems fine. No broken or cracked (not even). Once I touch the screen appears black work but now I noticed that not do anything you give him the finger.
From what could be the problem? After what I read were others with this problem but we found no concrete solution. The phone is no longer under warranty.
Excuse any grammatical errors but I am in Craiova, Romania.
No one help me? please!
why is the blue screen? The phone works, can speak on it but not see nothing...
The flex band is the problem?
Hello guys, I'm new to the android platform and phones ,
I recently bought a new htc desire C and I dropped it on the floor from 1m height, the phone is intact , absolutely nothing
but the screen is black, I can receive calls , I hear the sound when it turns on , when someone calls.
Is there a common problem with the phones themselves or is the screen broken cuz I don't get it, why it's not turning on.
If it's something I can fix at home so I don't have to go to the shop with the phone.

Dropping it ant the screen not working is definitely not a common problem lol. You can repair it at a shop, that's pretty much it.
