Has anybody started development of the PS3 jailbreak hack yet? htc t-mobie G1 has got same chipsets and has been used for the hack.
anybody got any ideas?
My line of thought was to use the android port on the touch pro to get same functionallity but it does not boot with the available g1 hacks.
i've started looking at it, going for android room way that is, should possibly be the easyest way to go aswell. since most is already "fixed" by other dev's ^^
will post back IF and mostly if i do figgure anything out ^_^.
(note: i have NEVER EVER coded or done anything like this. but i am a nerd and will do what i can )
ps3 with broken bd-rom old and dusty but worth a try!
Hi, i am a relative noob to android phones, but my gf went and got herself a LG Optimus(swift) and i have decided i would quite like an android device aswell. However as much as i like her touchscreen, i cant use it as a typing device due to a little medical problem, so i thought the hard keyboard would be great, but the G1 does not have alot of features and is limited. I recently found out that you can "root" a device and install newer versions of Android, would this give the phone more features than it initially had?
thanks for any help you might be able to offer, i have tried to find out on google but i have not been able to find anything out, its rather infuriating LOL
thanks again,

I Moved from Android And Love WP7 Personally, But You should look at the features that you need and use in android and find out if they are present in WP7.
Personally I know you'll have a shock when you notice how 2 phones with the same processors act differently, WP7 seems to really utilise the processor for speed, I sat in an o2 store using both models and within 10 minutes I knew I wanted the HD7.. It just felt more fluid and I like the way that it seamlessly integrates everything
WP7 is very pleasing to the eye and personally I Like it, but if you're gonna miss the features in Android i'd suggest don't move.
If you update to the developer build of mango you would get to see the shocking speeds of that too, it seems to make the phone even faster, and not by just a little bit, by a heck of a lot!
The apps are pricey however, one of the setbacks of the Xbox live system and the fairly new operating system sadly.
These are my opinions on the phones, but personally you might think differently
Thank you for your input; I've was always into WinMo and moved over to Andriod.
Didn't give WP7 a shot yet, though I must admit that it seems to be more faster and fluid than andriod. The applications are my concern..but I do need a change
let's see if anyone else would like to share their experience...
EDIT: does WP7 support VOIP/SIP?? That would be a deal breaker for me.
Thanks.
Hi,
Android graphically resembles a little win 6th. It has great potential but they really are useful for small percent of people. WP7 is a new OS, still far from perfect, but moving in the right direction. It is good that Nokia will work. This will force the great progress and I think at the end of the year we will already have a good system.
Personally I have HTC HD7 and HTC IS and I am not going to get rid HD7.

hi,
i've a HD2 at the moment, but i want something to game on.
i've no need for dual core phones best benchmarks etc.
so i think of buying myself a used xperia play for low money.
but there are some things im interested in:
-are the games free?
-can custom firmware be flashed like on HD2 with cwr?
-is there any program out like the HD2 toolkit to make a task29 and things like that?
i would appreciate every help
your's joe

I hope I am posting in the correct place. I don't want to break any rules!
I'm getting a Nexus One and want to set it up as a PMP type device. I want to keep internet and market access, as well as camera functionality. I won't be activating the phone. I was wondering if anyone could offer suggestions as to what kernels and/or roms might be best. I would be looking for a the best battery life I could get. I also have a friend trying to do something similar with a Dinc.
If anyone could offer any answers as to what might be best I would appreciate it. I've messed around with rooting etc on a Dinc and Archos devices but I'm not expert.
Thanks!
