Hello proud Xda-devs and members . I have a question , what are the differences in stability between JVH , JVA , JVB , JVK , and what language do the firmwares have , what swype language have . I am searching for one with romanian .
I would also like to know this. It might be a good idea to create a thread that lists the known differences between each updated ROM.
Samsung can answer.
JVH is the latest release. Released officially in Scandinavia. It replaces JVB, which as been pulled from kies probably because it had some bugs.
JVA I am not sure that it was released officially. We got it after JVB but the build date is prior.
JVK was a leaked beta for the UK. The first gingerbread we have had.
JVH doesn't seem to have Romanian, sorry (unless it's spelled something I didn't recognize). Not sure about the others.
JVH languages :
Cestina
Dansk
Deutcsch (germany, austria, swizterland
English (Australia, Ireland, NZ, South Africa, UK, USA)
Spanish (Spain, USA)
Estonian
French (France, swizterland)
Icelandic
Irish
Italian
Kazakh
Latviesu
Lietuviu
Magyar
Nerderlands (Belgium, Netherlands)
Norwegian
Polish
Português
Slevencina
Suomi
Svenska
Turkce
Greek
Russian
Ukrainian
1 east-asian language that I can't type, I would guess Korean
JVB Swype languages :
UK, US English
Cestina
Nederlands
Français (azerty keyboard)
Deutsch
Greek
Magyar
Italiano
Korean (I guess)
Polski
Português Europeu
Slovencina
Espanol
Türkçe

hi i'm struggling to find the answer to this even simpler question:
what does jvh/jvb indicate? I'm running a jvb ROM (debusROM). I dont even know what that means, other than knowing that JVH is supposed to be better, and JVH kernels aren't compatible with my JVB ROM...
Could someone please explain or point me in the direction of a thread that does?
thanks

They are different builds (releases) of the Gingerbread firmware. JVB being early and buggy, JVH being the latest as put very well by zorxd

Not sure if this is of any use, but the same FTP that I found the 1.21.405.0_R_radio_sign_25.47.20.01_1.58.09.17_Test.exe, now has the RUU_Wings_HTC_WWE_1.31.405.1R_radio_sign_25.62.30.03_1.58.17.02_Ship.exe
I don't think this is important now that we can cook ROMs or whatnot.
my new wings (1,5 week old) got that radio version.

This is not the latest version.. I have downloaded RUU_Wings_HTC_WWE_1.31.405.1R2_radio_sign_25.62.30.03_1.58.17.02_Ship
The files are created a month later..
I wonder what the difference is, and I also wonder when we'll stumble on the RUU for the North American Wing200.
WINGS in Portuguese

Hello all! Greetings from Diamond Project team
HTC Manila has already a multilanguage interface (thanx to muh for example of it).
I discovered that it should support: en, sv, sk, ch, nl, tr, ca, de, ro, pt, es, fr, pl, nb, fi, ko, it, da, ru, pt, hu, el, jp
To set your native lang in htc manila you should try this way:
1. Open registry editor on your diamond
2. Go to entry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\MUI\CurLang
3.Change hex value (or wht do u have in it) to:
0804 - Chinese China
0404 - Chinese Taiwan
0405 - Czech Czech Republic
0406 - Danish Denmark
0413 - Dutch Netherlands
0409 - English United States
040B - Finnish Finland
040C - French France
0407 - German Germany
0408 - Greek Greece

After I've updated to Froyo, I can change the language of the phone to Portuguese (Brazil), but there's no more this language for the typing dictionary for the Samsung keypad neither for Swype.
Is there a way to add this language?
What Firmware do you use? JPM, JP6 or JPA??

I use the same firmware, but I can´t see the Brazilian language.
Only Portugal language.
I thin you must wait for the offical Language for your country then its easy to port the Language..
One Question did JPK/JPH/JPC/JP3 or such a Rom has the Language?
I bought an SGS i9000 in HKG and found later on that the phone is a Korean version. The only languages that can be choosen are UK or US English and Chinese and Korean (the last 2 are a guess however...).
My question is now whether there is a way to "flash" the phone such as it can be set like an European phone with the corresp. choice of languages (English, French, German, Italian...). Although I have a fair English knowledge, I would like to be able to give my phone to the kids and they do not master English so well yet.
The phone has Android 2.2 and FROYO.ZSJPD / Build 2010.10
Any hint is very appreciated.
Hi, i'm searching for the latest official rom with PT_BR language.
In fact, i was able to flash the latest firmware from Germany (until now) ROM I9000XWJW6 in a GT-I9000B device with an apropriated kernel, but it has only PT from portugal and i am from Brazil, it's a litle bit different languages...
So, anyone know what is the latest rom whith PT_BR support?
bump
Anyone has some new?
It seems that will not have that language, Samsung leave dev on GT-I9000B a long time ago...
A similar project is the Saurom which with adapted kernel will work on GT-I9000B
