Hey guys,
I'm pretty experienced Android ROMs developer and want to ask, if you want me to cook Android Revolution HD series ROM for you? I do not own Incredible S but my ROMs are based always on stable official bases, they have no visual changes just confirmed tweaks and other stuff like su, busybox etc..
Here is my ROM for Desire HD - LINK.
I'm already downloading latest RUU but before I start to work on it I need to know if you are interested.
Sorry for posting this question in development forum, I hope it will be forgiven. If there will be positive reaction I will change first post and place here my ROM.

if we got more roms for our IS we have more possibilities to select the right one. its a shame that u wont customize the visual thing, like u said, but with a rom like yours, i am sure there will be a few devs how like to edit your rom visually xD that would be great !! xD

Apache14 was building kernels for my Desire HD / Inspire 4G ROMs. I haven't decide yet how it will working in this case
I'll drop him a line then. If I can finally get this thing to build you might be able to use that

Yes, your ROM for the DHD almost made me get that phone, but I just prefer the 4.0" screen form factor better.

there's no best rom. its always a tradeoff. u want something stable, go for older releases, or go for something spanking new and nice, but with bugs. what's best for me isn't always the best for you. screenshots are an indication of what you can expect. just download something, flash it and try, if there's something you don't like, then move on to another rom.

just use your Stock ROM

there´s no best rom, the best rom is the one according to your needs...

Can anyone who already got official Froyo on his Legend (i've read that Vodafone got it) show how it looks without HTC Sence? I think that the pure froyo's design, like on Nexus One, is the best and i will be very disappointed if HTC will add something to froyo for Legend. Thank you!

Sorry if i am bugging with the same old query of a salsa update of ICS or any update above 2.3.5!
Has anyone updated salsa above its official release via rooting to ICS or anything else? Is it stable or any faults or is it bricked?
If its is a positive answer, can you guide me appropriately? I am bored of the old version and seeing all the similar configuration sets getting an ICS, i am depressed. Please drop in your comments.

1-HTC Dropped updates for this model 1 yr after production
2-HTC Stopped Production of this phone a few months ago
3-HTC will never release anything for the Salsa officially above 2.3.3
4-Any Rom that's Based on Official Salsa will be 2.3.3
5-Any rom that's 2.3.5 is a Port from another device, normally the Wildfire S.
6-Any rom that's 2.3.5 based either 2.1 sense or 3.5 sense will have faults and isn't fully matched to the Salsa so don't complain when something is missing or goes wrong.
7-The Salsa HTC kernel is believed to be OC'd already, so modification will be difficult but is being worked on.
Please think yourself lucky. There's 2 Working devs for this Phone...Me and razor...and I'm working my backside off trying to create things for you guys...My main purpose is to get a working CM7 and that's my mission.
If you want ICS you will have to wait a long time.....first comes a kernel...then comes cm7, after that..heavy kernel mods to allow cm9/cm10 (ICS).
Other than that my friend....change handsets if you want ICS
But honestly...there's nothing you can do...how you think the rest of us feel...I'm bored...very bored of this phone..but will persist till CM7 is on here....

I'm new here and this is my first android phone, so I'm sorry if I'm asking something already said, but what stop us from port CM7? I mean, the bootloader can be unlocked, we have the kernel's source and it's the same android's version. I use Linux since 2007 and I'm a CS student but I have not found many resource and I'm not a genius lol. If I could help somehow I would be very happy, I bought the device two weeks ago (bad choice I now lol, I didn't know it was already old) so it's completely stock if you need to look up some config files lol.

what's stopping us is the kernel files...as we have just found things are not as they are supposed to be...that's what's stopping us lol

Ah, the kernel's source from htcdev don't work? I thought it was all opensource.

it does work, but as with other kernels, other devs have tried to adapt there modified kernel to ours...and it just don't wanna work.
this is why we have bootable cm7's but neither work due to the kernel not working correctly. ie touchscreen modules have to be corrected before the rom can be made to work. we are working on cm10 though in the development section, its gonna take time...

I contacted HTC atleast 10 times.... No info for even a small update on Salsa... So I've decided to pester their call center representatives with mails & calls. They are giving us some compatibility theory... fired a call center representative for that... I'll try to make them fall in line by mailing them time and again..

good luck...htc told me several time....they have discontinued all updates and service for this phone...the last thing we got was the kernel source code that's it'
M gonna send them a mail saying you can't be trusted upon and show some sentimental stuff till they give us some good stuff... Let's see....... I'll keep everyone up to date in this.

thought you have to give up, htc got much new phones to maintain, and they haven't finish keeping one x more stable yet
the only thing htc does right is release the unlock bootloader,
but i got to say this phone still sucks after unlock, root and everything make this phone better i did
IT JUST SUCKS
But still troubling them by mailing them is a good idea....

Im sure I'm not the only one who's thinking this but I really wish I purchased the original mini. The reason for this is the only ROM at the moment for this device is CyanogenMod and nobody seems to be making one. Anybody else feel this way?
Also just in case are you involved or do you know anyone making ROMs for this phone?
Thank God that we have at least cm.... I agree with you, and since I have this phone from July, I have been asking for roms since the first day, but this device isn't so popular yet... Vi there are kernels and mods, better than nothing. This forum sometimes is dead for weeks, I wouldn't be surprised that there is no interest in development

@Will972 is one of the biggest contributors, as he gave us stock roms for every update
A sense rom based on lolipop will be planed soon on 2015 .. we must first have a kernel dev for a possibility to have it earlier but we don't have it.
The only thing we can have is a custom rom with 4.4.2 base
I just miss xposed since there is no idiot rooting guide.
I will make a rom with some stuff like xposed and sense 6.0 toolbox and maybe harman kardon mod instead of boomsound

I know rooting a HTC is not as easy as rooting a Samsung but still it is not hard. The most annoying part is unlocking the bootloader, but even this is easy, but killing time. Once this is done, you need 2 files: twrp recovery

I have made the same experience, for some reason or another it is obviously, that it is not so interesting (or to complicated) for developers to keep them busy with this device!

I got the oportunity for trading it with an HTC Desire Eye... unfortunately.. dont own it anymore... but have to say I love the HTC Desire family wonderful phones, awesome design.. good luck with yours...
