Smooth Glass like Screen Protector, do they exist? - Nook Color Accessories

I've read the 4 threads on screen protectors and it seems like lots of people like zagg screen protector. Unfortunately, I'd bought two zagg's in the past and removed them after I got good smooth as glass screen protectors on my devices. I was wondering if anyone has found any smooth screen protectors for the NC? Please no anti glare.

To those who put screen protectors, has your stylus scratched your protectors?

Since consensus seems to say that the stylus does not scratch a naked screen, I was wondering, does the stylus easily scratch the screen protectors you guys put on?
Since screen protectors are plastic, they are probably softer than the naked glass of the note?
What screen protector did you use that got scratched/not scratched?
Have any of SGP screen protectors users gotten their screen protectors scratched?
Because it would get annoying to have a scratched screen protector when you are looking your phone everyday, might as well go naked if the screen protector would be filled with scratched just after a week of use of the stylus.
Thanks
The cheap Ebay ones I'm running at the moment are easy to scratch with the stylus. They're even getting minor scratches from finger use. Waiting for my SGP ones to show up. I'm sure they'll be better
i ordered a boxwave protector, and havent ordered from anywhere else since I ran into the ebay problem. It's not in yet, but I imagine it will be scratch free for a good while
I'm using the skinomi screen protector and it doesn't really scratch but leave dimples and marks because the screen protector itself is so soft. It will probably be the same result with zagg skins as well, I plan on getting a harder one like from SGP later.

It has significantly scratched my SGP Ultra Clear. I noticed this clearly yesterday while sketching.
my atfolix anti glare seems just fine. in addition, it is nicer to write on since it isn't as smooth. That makes it a tiny bit noisier, and as with any anti glare protector you take a little bit of a sharpness hit.
The latter turned me off initially but people still WOW over the screen so I wonder if the sharpness hit is part imaginary.
Sounds like the Note really shouldn't have any type of lcd protector on it.

By Ultra Clear, do you mean the Ultra Crystal?
That is exactly the screen protector I plan to get. Hmmm..
Do you now think that a note without a screen protector would be better?
How annoying are the scratches on your screen?

Realook vs. Ringbo (Rearth) Screen Protectors

Which is better; Realook vs. Ringbo (Rearth) Screen Protectors?
Thank you.
I'm debating between the following;
http://www.ebay.com/itm/REALOOK-Sam...046765?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3a7bea296d
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ultimate-Cl...969883?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item416c30295b
i've used Realook in the past and have really liked them. they give you two protectors and they look like glass when put on. very easy install as well. although i really dig the Realook, i went with the SPG on my gnote2. i think they hadn't made the Realook when i purchased, otherwise i would have gotten it instead im pretty sure.

The REALOOK looks like it covers more of the top portion.
Just a saw video of Android Authority, and the Ringbo doesn't seem to hold up well.
The Realook appears to be very similar to SGP, but offers more coverage as per the pictures. Realook has been in the screen protection market longer than SGP. Both companies are Korean-based.
I'm definitely thinking of Realook now;
I have a few questions though-
- Do you see the rainbow effect on this protector? What about Orange Peel?
- Is this protector a finger-print magnet?
- How well does the protector do with dust? When applying the protector, are dust particles easily attracted by the adhesive side of the screen protector (I've had this problem many times with SGP)?
- How difficult is it to smudge this particular screen protector? Is it easy to make fine scratches on the protector (especially with the S-Pen)?
- Is this screen protector a 100% bubble-free installation; provided you use a squeegee?
BTW:
I've also used Capdase Klia Screen Protector before (Made in China) and the installation was easy; no bubbles on the first application; and the screen protector has anti-scratch and anti-finger-print properties; at the same time, it is Crystal Clear / Glossy; doesn't even look like a screen protector is applied on the actual screen. From what I just described, can you say the Realook Crystal Clear Protector is similar to Capdase?
For me, realook>ringbo.
Last time used ringbo was for my nexus s. Talk about horrible Rainbow effect.
It looked like oil slick on top of water. Lol

[Q] Good Screen Protector for Nexus 6?

I love tempered glass screen protectors but it seems like all the glass protectors for the Nexus 6 have bad reviews on Amazon. Does anyone have a suggestion on what screen protector I should use? Has anyone tried the Zagg Invisibleshield glass screen protector?
I initially put a Skinomi tech skin on when I received my phone, thinking it would be a temporary solution until tempered glass would be available. Well, I'm still waiting, but the Skinomi is excellent. No orange peel, doesn't mess with the proximity sensor and the feel is great. It is a wet apply protector though, if that concerns you.
Have a look in the Nexus 6 accessories forum. Lots of discussion and reviews in there.
If you are going to 5.1, make sure you have a protector that has cut outs for the proximity sensor, lots of folks have had issues with black screens after cell calls due to the screen protector.
I purchased 2 protectors that both have cutouts for the sensors. Not a commercial endorsement; Jelly Comb Premium 9H $7.99 and Fosmon TOUCH Crystal Clear 0.26mm $7.99 both from Amazon. I put on the Fosmon and no bsod.

Recommended screen protector?

I just received an IQ Shield Matte screen protector and I'm really disappointed. It screws up the colors and whites have a rainbow effect to them. I took it off and now I'm looking for a new one. I'd like one that is:
1. Anti-glare
2. Anti-fingerprint
3. Clear and doesn't screw with this beautiful display.
Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance!
Thee one and only,,,,but more importantly expensive whitestone dome screen protector is probably the most I've heard of working...45 to 50 dollars tho
Any you can recommend about $20 and under?
First I tried the Spigen NeoFlex film screen protectors and they are garbage. Then I ordered a cheapo full cover tempered glass screen protector from eBay and it works great.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/3D-Full-Cov...ector-For-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-8-/332345555824
I've only been using it for about a week so I can't say how well it will keep dust out. Sensitivity is great, I don't notice it's on at all. It's not Anti-glare or Anti-fingerprint but it's only $8.
I'm using the i-blason tempered glass.
Under $20, it's still on, doesn't interfere with the screen.
It's still going to collect fingerprints and smudges due to the oils in our skin, but it wipes off easily.

Oh wow that sucks but for some reason YouTubers recommend this for s8 and note 8 idk man it looks promising but yeah that warning I've never seen before
There are plenty of discussions under the accessories section
But I'd say don't bother. I had one tempered glass protector on for an hour before it annoyed me too much and I removed it! Destroys the feel and use of the phone.
I have been buying the RhinoShield stuff for my stuff and its held up really well for me.
rhinoshield.io is where you'll find it.. (I havn't logged in long enough that I forgot my account info :/ )
edit: found my login info so now I can add the link:
https://rhinoshield.io/collections/samsung-galaxy-note-8
Plus, nobody else's stuff has any evidence that even suggests it actually works.
I havn't tried it for the note8 but I came by this thread while I was researching if anyone had so figure I'd mention it. It is expensive to get the whole kit (screen protector, bumper, and in this case rear glass protector), but I found it worth it..
I have a cheapo '2.5D' glass and its doing well. Touch response is worse mind.
There is a speaker hole at the top; this needs covering with a bit of tape or you wil get dust between the screen and the protector.

I purchased a relatively inexpensive TG protector. While it exhibits many of the drawbacks of TG protectors that aren't full-adhesive (i.e. all of them except the Whitestone Dome), it doesn't have quite the "rainbow effect" that I've seen with other protectors.
Its real downside, though, is its slickness ... I need a more paper-like surface to better control the s-pen. Just the tiniest bit of friction would help. I'm thinking that I may have to go to a film protector rather than TG to get that, though. Does anyone else have this issue with TG protectors?

Ever since the introduction of the edge curved screen (and I have owned the lot) I have never found a decent screen saver. It is a subject on every forum here on XDA and concerning all the Samsung edge models.
I have taken recommendations only to find them useless. Some use a glue, some have a dotted appearance after application some just suck period!
I used a partial screen saver once that just covered the centre of the screen but even that proved awful. Even used Samsungs own on the Note 7 and though that was not glass it also was horrible.
If any peer here does find a working screen protector PLEASE let us know.

Whitestone is the best.
I like the Spigen NeoFlex, it's been great so far for me. Went on easily, hasn't peeled off the corners/edge (and I use the Spigen Tough Armor case) and after the 12 hours to settle on the screen it looks great and writing on it with the s-pen feels good too. My personal opinion and the only one I've tried so far on my Note 8

Can the Whiitestone be removed once it's been glued to the Screen?
yes
I got the Bodyguardz glass protector sold to me at the AT&T store (lazy me). The guy installed it and it's ok. Glass protectors have an innate problem in that they sometimes don't transmit touches to the touchscreen itself. This one is no different but it does fit well. And it has a lifetime free replacement policy. I'll keep it to protect my screen.

UAG works with screen protectors?

Has anyone had any issues using case-friendly glass/pet screen protectors with their UAG cases? I read some people complaining about it somewhere but I'm not sure if they're just being idiots and are having issues because they're using full-coverage screen protectors...
I think the only one that works is the Monarch. Not sure about the other two models. UAG is my go to case but wont buy it if it doesn't work with the screen protectors. I have a sup case that provides similar protection and works with screen protectors.
I'm using a UAG plasma and haven't had any luck with any tempered glass screen protectors I've tried. The corners go deep into the screen. I'm currently using an S8+ dry protector, which plays nice with the Plasma because it's short. But it's too short for the screen and I'm still hoping to find one that works.
I'd love to hear from you if you find a good protector that's compatible with the Plasma.

Even the case-friendly glass ones are too long?
Tempered glass? Yes. I've tried 4 that all haven't fit. I haven't tried wet apply protectors because of issues with the S-Pen.
