How many of you here get soo low sometimes you feel like popping your head of? Yeah am that low now. Any bright ideas to get me bubble again, please????

I just joined the Army and just finished basic training 3 weeks ago, and now go to AIT to become a Information Systems Specialist. My schedule is crazy and I barely have time for myself, but I just keep my head up and look to my battle buddies for morale boosts.

My best friend completed suicide 4 years ago. It was devastating!!! The fact that you are here asking, is a good thing. I honestly would urge you to call a hotline the next time you get the blues so bad you feel this way. Suicide is a permanant solution to a temporary problem, and those left behind will never understand why...they will always be left with a hole in their hearts. Trust me on this fact. While it often seems as if it is only you, it isn't. I can guarantee that folks care about you, and that you aren't alone...so go to those folks, or as I mentioned before call a hotline. There is a line in Gone With the Wind..."after all, tomorrow is another day"...you make it dark or sunny, hopefully you will choose to make it sunny.

You know, i can identify with you man... Life gets ****ty and the past 2 months for me have been the worst, and in all honesty i cant say that i havent had the same thoughts... But i could never do it, i have 2 young daughters and 2 young step daughters that i love more than anything... And i hate to sound like i play favorites, but my 2 yr old means more to me than anything and i couldnt imagine possibly leaving her, if there is one thing that brings me back to this world and reality its her... Moral of my story, there has to be something that will center you and bring you back, think about it

It would also be a good idea for you to start going to the gym.
Weight lifting has helped me trough some bad times in my life.
It's amaizing how much can a little phisical activity help you.
Go and try it, if nothing else you will at least blow off some steam.

Local news

Since HTC stiffed us I reported them to my local news in Charlotte NC I did the Whistleblowers 9 thing maybe they'll get some publicity started and force HTC to do something under the fear of looking like crap on TV has anyone else tried reporting to a major news room? if not maybe enough of us can flood a news room and make them do something, im pretty sure just 1 report's not going to do anything but we'll see. I know good and well if this hits the TV they will have to do something.

I don't know that much is going to come from that, but good luck with the news outlet thing if it goes through.

No, I havent talked to them yet, I just did it yesterday about 7:00 if I am ever going to here anything it should be today I gave them a whole bunch of articles to look at ranging from the bounty page to the HTC classaction site. I think there more interested in people speeding thru scool zones though.

So what do you guys make of Kevin Bridges? I'm sure only fellow people from the UK will have heard of him. Personally I think he's one of the best comedians around right now. Hi there,
this will sound a bit angry, but where are the optimisations promised by supercurio months after releasing his Voodoo Sound adaptation ?
I never expected my O2X to become a Cowon J3 for sure, but I bought the control plus app long enough ago and found myself with a "glorified amp" which brings nothing quality-wise, if a fine volume tuning.
I'd expect from a respectable dev. who sells & make money with his app to finish what he started before jumping onto some other obscure project... that sounds more ethical to me. Right now I feel like I'm dumb to have purchased his app, which in my opinion still doesn't deliver what anyone would expect from it, as announced.
At least, I'd like to know if anybody has proof that supercurio hasn't just dropped this project ? In that case, it'd be falses promises & nearly robbery...
Well all I can do is waiting in anger, I hate being taken for a fool...

Read his twitter. He's working on a different project right now, and more O2x/G2x improvements will come straight after that

you could try ask him instead of, just write an angry message in here, that will not help you so much

I think I was also speaking in the name of ALL the people who bought his app. I'm pretty confident I'm not the only one who feels this way. By analogy, just think of your O2X bought with the promise of a fast Gingerbread update. Is it there ? Are you happy about this ? Well it's all the same to me.
The lesson is, only trust the ones who deliver what they announce.
P.S : Been fooled twice with my two last phones, first Samsung with Omnia I8910 - case closed, I didn't even consider buying the SGS2 after this chapter; now LG... this can't be accepted.

Dude, supercurio has a real life too... He does this for us in his free time! So things might not come out as fast as one would expect them. So calm down dude.

Questions for people in New Orleans area

My mom wants to go there for a trip. Possibly New Years or June for sister's birthday. I've read somethings from google on other forums, but the newest is from Sept, and next is Feb of this year. I'm wondering if a tourist can go anywhere besides the French Quarter to sight see. And if so, do we really have to take a cab everywhere? Not safe to walk. That's what I read.
Honestly, I don't want to go. I don't want to babysit 3 drunks while I'm missing my girl. But I'll tell her your answer whether good or bad.

why ever leave the french quarters its amazing! every time i go i either walk or take a cab and ive never had a problem. once i park my car i never see it again till i leave to head back north. i know this is not much help sry

There is a lot to do. But I can only tell you what NOT to do. LOL
If you go to Pat O'Brien's don't drink the hurricanes like they are coolaid. They taste like it. But they are not!!! You will regret it.
Don't go to the bar The Dungeon. You might see things you can't unsee. Like midgets dressed in leather crawling into a hole in the wall to another room.
Did I mention NOT to drink the Hurricane's at Pat O's like they were coolaid?
You can always do the swamp things. Also there are a lot of historical places in NO. I hear. All I found was Bourbon Street when I was there. I was always within crawling distance of the hotel. Stayed at a nice historical place called Hotel St. Marie just a half block off of Bourbon St.

EDIT: I never took my car out of the Hotel garage. It is safe in the quarter to walk. Make sure you know the boundaries though. It turns to crap REAL quick if you venture outside the boundaries. That is in the immediate area of the quarter and other parts of NO are nice and safe.

Huh, well thanks guys. I'll let her. If I go, I want to see some good bands, and things I like 85gallon was talking about. Idk about them. She found a place a block away the French Quarter on airbnb.com owned by a couple gay dudes renting their apartment out for 160 a night. 3/2 with upstairs balcony. Seems pretty cool.
