XDA Fantasy Football 08!!

Hello Everyone!
I've taken the liberty of creating a Fantasy Football (NFL) league for XDA this year since I have not seen one at all and I thought what the heck, why not make one.
The league is with Yahoo! and it is a custom league. If you join you can see all the rule (points, playoff dates etc.) It is all very fair and the rules make for a great league and a lot of fun too.
The Live Online Draft is August 4th 2008 at 9:00 PM EST. I know the people on this site are all over the world, so If you really to join but the time is a bad time, let me know and I can talk to other people in the league to work out a better time.

FYI: Bunch of us log on to socom on Sunday's (Password Protected: usually: ***) so we can all be online watching football and bullsh!tin during games......bunch of fun considering I have had Socom since the 1st edition back in the day!

Wow I'm all over the place on this post!

I don't play the old Socom I traded it in a while ago
But I already paid for Socom-Confrontation through Amazon so I'll get it the day it comes out and I will be on every day including Sundays...basically whenever i don't work and my girlfriends at school
Anyway, back to the topic at hand...
We now have 8 people signed up so far for the league, need another 8 for a full roster....

Yea good to see you there, it was only me you and gashouse gorillas. I feel bad for the players that were not at the draft because they got got some ****ty picks.

Damnit! I didn't know the draft happened. Who knows though sometimes when you let Yahoo choose you come out on top.

[Q] So COD MW:3 or BF:3? What are you going to play?

So with the upcoming winter of game releases coming the FPS fanbois are out in force. Who will be playing the new COD Modern Warfare 3? Who will be playing Battlefield 3?
Personally... I'll play both. COD on Console and BF on the puter.

Well ill most likely be getting mw3 much later after bf3. I'm more of a fan for bf3. I really enjoyed bad company 2. I currently have black ops, but it is just too darn easy for me. I get roughly 30-40 kills per game and around 10 or so deaths. Cod is more of a "run and gun" kinda game. I enjoy strategic, intense gameplay that urges me to stay alive. I enjoyed the story line of cod black ops though. Was awesome!

This is an easy question. Both. They have their merits, and no doubt will both be fun. Let the peasants duke it out re: which is better. You can then laugh at how poor they are, since they can only purchase one game they bash the other one.

Haters are gonna hate.... my only concern with both is going to be gameplay.
Sure BF:3 is going to have the most awesomest uber graphics in the WORLD (according to EA/Dice) - but is the gameplay going to be somewhat balanced without the past BF:2 bugs?
And with MW:3 - it seems more like MW:2.5 - they just took out a couple of perks people were *****ing about - and introduced more OP junk the game didn't need.
... At least the Quick Scopers will be happy to have their Barrett back.
I'll be getting BF:3 on release - and will wait for my nephew to get MW:3 for XBox

I'm gonna get Battlefield 3 for the computer and my friend is gonna get MW3 for the PS3. I'm a sucker for graphics so thats why I'm gonna get BF3 and I did love Battlefield 2 and Bad Company 2, but I don't mind playing MW every once in a while with my friends to kill time and drink.

BF3 and MW3 if possible, but I won't get any of them for months. I'll be busy DESTROYING people on Gears of War 3. There's a reason they're called EPIC games.
But out of the two, BF3 by far.

Mw3 is just gunna be mw2 with new features that just ruin the game, It will still be fun, but I think BF3 is gunna be a new game and a new experience. Dice makes good games.

will buy COD MW3, but i will test BF:3 too in BF2 i love the golfcart ^^

Battlefield 3 <3

I hope both games are good but mw3 makes me nervous as mw2 was the worst game of the series IMO.

i'm moore COD fan but lately i bought BF2 and this game have something more in it. But i think i will be playing both of them (everything depends of money ) Such a shame that the graphics in PS3 is a bit worst than in PC edition

Time to switch.
I have Forza 3 and have yet to play it. I prefer realistic driving games like Gran Turismo, though. But Sony seriously screwed up GT in GT2. It no longer was fun and became a terrific pain to play. Since then I haven't even looked at GT so I have no idea about GT3, GT4 or GT5.
If Forza pans out for being fun and realistic, I will be happy.

The New Xbox One

What do you guys think of the new Xbox One that was just revealed today? I think it looks like an amazing console. I am very excited for my new Xbox to be the central hub for all my entertainment. I think it is great how nicely it integrates with your TV.
Halo the Television Series is a dream come true for me. I love all things Halo and now we will get a live action TV series which is awesome. To top it all all Steven Spielberg is the man in charge of bringing this series to life!
I am not much of a Call of Duty fan but the Call of Duty Ghosts world premiere actually got be excited for another Call of Duty. I haven't really enjoyed a Call of Duty game since the first Modern Warfare. I am really excited that Infinity Ward is actually making a new game for once. I didn't think anything of Call of Duty ghosts at first but it really seems like a whole new game.
What do you guys think of the new Xbox? What are you most excited for?

Hitting a bit of a brick wall as to what to cover in my next podcast, its about video games btw. So I was hoping that if you could think of some video game questions for my podcast to answer that would be absolutely awesome.

Questions.... Uh....
- What are some of the greatest plottwists you've ever encountered in a videogame?
- What non-main character had the most unique, interesting story?
- If you had to pick one game, and that would be the only game you could play for the rest of your days, which one would it be?
- Best mod you've ever seen for a game?
I can name a few possibly interesting subjects to brainstorm on, as well. If it's not helpful, pretend I didn't say anything
- Pillars of Eternity. Obsidian's Kickstarter lovechild between Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights. The story is awesome, very unique. Recently got a massive patch that solved a lot of major problems, too.
- Dragon Age Inquisition's Jaws of Hakkon DLC is out. Doesn't do anything with the ending (DLC rarely does these days) but it adds new content, which is always fun.
- Dreamfall Chapters part 2 is out.
- The Halo 5 trailer.

What about games that have taken over your life. I can remember when I was obsessed with a lil game called Everquest.
Meaningful relationships (friends/marriage...) that started because of a MMORPG.
What features do you look for when checking out a new game?
What next gen accessories are going to make a game more immersive, like oculus rift?
Just a few of my thoughts that came to mind.
