Okay so i noticed the ringtones i have put on my phone stopped working when i updated my phone to 7392. the ringtone is totally silent and i tried applying it again through advanced config, then i tried to reinstall advanced config and it said please plug your phone in zune or whatever it says when your phone is locked.. I tried using WP7 device menager and it wont install anything or do anything as well. then tried to open Chevron unlocker and it wont even open now. Im guessing this update locks your phone.. I still have file manager. maybe there is a way to unlock it again? this is irritating.
Okay so i just installed the Chevron certificate on my phone again and it started working. lol

Hello, Im having an issue updating to the latest update for the captivate. I bought mine two weeks ago and its fine and dandy however i'd like the suppose semi gps fix. I installed all the samsung drivers and using Kies Mini. When i connect my phone in Kies mode it shows up how its supposed to tells me there an update (my phone shows JF6 and so does the kies program), but when i try to update it tells me update failed please remove battery and reboot phone then try again. I've tried that, i did have my phone rooted and lagfix installed however i made sure to remove both of those before i even started the update. I also removed the market place fix to see if that was the issue and it wasn't. Does anybody have any clue as to why it keeps failing?
Thank you!
edit: by the way on my phones screen it just says mtp application and with the usb plug picture and it says initializing under it.

Go to Settings > Applications > USB Settings > Ask on connection
Also Go to Applications > Development > Enable USB Debugging
That will get rid of your MTP screen. MTP is for syncing with Windows Media Player or something along those lines.
And finally, don't bother with this update. It DOES NOT fix the GPS like AT&T and Samsung have told us. It's a waste of your time.
Anyone got an Airplane Mode xap that works on HTC Mango?
I've tried the Quick Settings xap and the Samsung xap without success
Any clues please?

I guess you have yukis/xboxmod-rom?
there is a package for the flightmode:
http://xboxmod.sylvester20007.com/cabs/DEV_SHORTCUT_FLIGHTMODE.cab
But that needs to go in before updating to mango

Yep, that's what I've done (was an early adopter) . And I don't need it as much now as the Sim Error is fixed on the build. I've actually just reinstalled V2 and installed FLIGHTMODE & Brightness.

I can't get brightness to install no matter what I do. Had it before I flashed mango, but it disappeared when I flashed 7720. Flight mode stayed on my device. All did other than brightness & ringtones & sounds shortcuts.
Were you able to install them through cab sender after flashing mango? Mine won't do it, just wondering if I'm missing a step.

I deployed all of the settings cabs after 7720 and they all work fine
Hi,
Let's start with the beginning: I've messed a bit with the rooted phone: deleted some seemingly useless stuff, with as a result the inability to install apps from the Play Store and even to check the storage status, so I did a hard reset but it didn't really fix it. Seems like I need a new ROM, which I wanted all the time (a custom one as we're talking)
So I've allowed Android to unlock bootloader on my Xperia T with Jellybean 4.1.2 and apparantly it rooted fine again (these instructions worked fine) and now there is the SuperUser app installed since it was forced in some way.
Now I want to follow these instructions, but step 13 brings bad luck!
When I connect the phone to the pc with either the volume up or down key, Windows says the USB Device malfunctioned the last time it was used and might not be recognized, or it doesn't react at all, except for the connection sounds. Going to the next steps doesn't bring relief...
But I can acces the phone perfectly when it's on and connected, when it's off it shows "D:\" in the Device Manager in Windows.
So I tried to update the driver manually, but when I go there it says there is no compatible installation file (while still following the instructions above)
I use Windows 8.1 on both PCs.
Please help? :/
I'm trying to factory reset my HTC Desire C has it was feely slow, but I'm having trouble un-rooting the phone, Does anyone know of any way I could do this with my model please?
I've tried Quick Root but that just seems to get stuck removing the perm-root.
Thanks in advance.
I've attached the info of my phone, thank you.

You can do this: - lock bootloader
- power on device
- enable adb debugging on device
- make sure you have adb and fasboot working corectly
- connect device via usb to PC
- run RUU with administrator rights
- and from there on just follow the instructions given by software
- http://www.androidruu.com/?developer=Golf
you really need the 2-4 lines i mentioned up for this to work
Well I managed to lock my bootloader and that, but when i tried to install the RUU it gave me a error. I think it might be an older version.
I think I'm going to need the 2.00.771.3 version :S
I think my phone is useless now. A bit of info, I tried factory resetting my phone (I have rooted my phone prior to this and stupidly thought that factory reset would get rid of the root) but when I reset my phone after the inital setup had gone through all menus it said setup has stopped working. Then my phone wouldn't work no apps or home screen, I could recieve calls and then go onto my settings at the top but nothing more then that, I'm not sure how I can get my phone working again now lol

Update finish downloading and saying restart now but I don't want to update to feb patch cause I saw many reporting bugs. .Is there anyway cancel it and delete the update files?
You can disable automatic updates in developer options and don't restart the phone, because if you do it will start installing.
So I can't restart my phone cause of this im really hating this phone now cant get a proper update. .thanks anyway
also, you can do this : disable automatic updates, turn usb debugging On & oem unlock On In developer options. Then, you can Reboot (with some risk of course) BUT! in each case If something goes wrong, you can flash immediately the stock rom via miflash tool without problem....
(yes many devices have trouble with this, especially after any update)
guys is there some easy way to disable update to v10?
When I restart it will continue to update, and I need to restart because my phone started acting up. It plays ringtones and other tones (viber, etc.) thrue the ear speaker and not phone speaker. the music playes on the main speaker normaly. I'm getting more and more pissed on this xiaomi BS. I was really happy with this phone but this forcing of updates is really a PITA.
any way to reset this sound issue/problem without reboot?
thanks
