custom rom help!

hey...
i cant install any custom rom on my xperia.
i installed HARD SPL.
and during the bootloader...
it says what it suppose to say like in the guide[of biovolt]
i meant during the bootloader...when the tri color screen appears.
it says
KOVS110
SPL-0.72. 01iNex
MicroP1-787
MicroP2-707
i formatted my memory card. [fat 32]
then i put the rom, on the root of the memory.
naming it Kovsimg.nbh
[and yes there is nothing but Kovsimg.nbh]
even then...
it says no image found during the bootloader.
anyone! help me!

Did you try to use other Roms?
everything looks ok there should not be a problem. maybe your Kovsimg.nbh is corrupt.
there als can be a transfer fail, i had this problem i copy it to my sd card but couldn't flash it. when you copiyed the nbh to sd card don't pull it out wait a moment then try to take out the cable/sd card. this is what i did and worked for me.

yes , i did.
about 5 roms.
and it's not corrupted...
cause i always check...
even inside my phone via file manager also.
maybe it's my micro sd.
that's the problem.

Then you know what to do. Try other sd cards.
you can find the problem by trial&error method. what it means is you just have to try different things to find whats wrong it is one off the most used methods.

sorry for the trouble!

cant install ROMs???? need help

so...i have download a lot of roms and followed the instructions on how to install...so...after i rename the rom to kovsimg.nbh put it in the storage card then enter bootload ...but when it enters bootload its start saying Loading Images... then it tells me "no image to load" so it does nothing.....?????!!!!!!

have u installed "hardspl" yet?

did hspl flashing work successfully?
be aware that the ruu provided by that thread is only for hspl and not working for custom roms
or if I got it wrong give a short summary pls

yes man...hspl works i watched a video how ti install and ive done it exxatly right....but r u saying that i have to find roms that are compatibile with hspl??

Try a different SD card. Usually, a "no image found" error message is because of an incompatible SD card. San Disk ones in particular. (or they're the ones that work, I forgot which is which)

you MUST format your SD card with FAT32 from your pc. I had the same problem, but now it works because of doing this.

oh....ok...but what about all the folders (there are important folder in the storage card ..i think) that are in the storage card....will there be any problem later ????

ehm, no, all roms should be "compatible" with hspl
I was just trying to say that the ruu coming with the hspl is custom tailed to only work with hspl, you can't flash roms with it, for that you need the "normal" (unmodified) ruu util and as I said not then one from hspl thread

Help! Bricked Tatoo, No Goldcard, cid 131

My device is a HK ver.
I have tried to flash the Custom boot.img, but it prompt errors throughout the process, and when i reboot my Tatoo, it halts on the "Tattoo" Logo.
I have not create a gold card before, and when boot with usb pluged, i can enter fastboot usb mode.
I have tried to flash the original RUU_Click_HTC_WWE_1.67.405.6_WWE_release_signed_NoDriver, but it failed with error 131, cid error.
I am very worry now, and search for a long time for solution but still cant save my tattoo.

Now, you understand why ALL TUTORIALS say "Create a GoldCard" ?
The GoldCard is here to bypass the CID Check, so it's normal you have this error...
You're tattoo is dead.

But the goldcard is necessary only for branded tattoo, right? I've a unbranded tattoo and i can flash RUU without problem.

If you used 1-click-root you shuld have the files needed to make a GoldCard.

Your Tattoo isn't dead unless you can't make the goldcard.
You'll need another Android phone. Insert the Tattoo's MicroSD Card into it, and get the CID of the Card. Do the goldcard business and whatnot, and then you should be back into the game.

You did not brick your Tattoo. Your Tattoo isn't working simply. You can flash it with right goldcard and it can work again...

Did I screwed myself? (PLZ ANSWER FAST)

So I wanted to go back to custom ROM. I did task29 and now i am here, cleuless.
The kovsimg file can't be found on my X1. What do I have to do? Am I supposed to do HardSPL? Thats going to be hard without a OS I suppose.

uhm... nope. hardspl stays forever, unless you flash stockspl. and that's a procedure you can't do by accident and without reading how to do it. (if you had done this, you wouldn't ask)
so, let's assume you have hardspl on your phone for a long time already:
a) make sure it's "kovsimg.nbh" in root of your sdcard
or
b) enter bootloader and connect to your pc -> usb-method

Already figured out, used an other SD card, still thanks though.

I think your sd card is(was) not formatted in FAT32

It depends mate, I've 2 SD cards that are formatted in FAT32 and both of them didn't work with the SD card method. (Tried 0.72 AND 0.78). However, the PC method works nicely with the 0.78.

[Q] I'm stuck on SPL !!

I was try to do that RSPL thing and it errored.
after that the SPL doesn't show Serial or USB on the white color section.
and i usb connection on SPL doesn't work ...
How can i fix my SPL??

you half-bricked your device.
three possible solutions to your problem:
Goldcard method, here
Y-Cable method, here

I was wondering if this can be done by taking out the SD card and putting the stock ROM files on it, and then flashing it. Or using an old 2GB card with the files on it.
Just a question, no need for flaming

I don't think by removing the SD Card and reinsert it again can work.But who knows.The best way is using what sh4dow86 recommend.

I read somewhere that someone flashed using sd card, looked for guides but found nothing.
