IMO I think it's gotta be Friday.
Plus this is way too funny:
"Weed is from the earth. God put this here for me and you. Take advantage man, take advantage. "
Cheech & Chong - Things Are Tough All Over.
"People say it was the drugs that killed Elvis man. But it wasn't the drugs, it's looking for them. Keeps you up all night!"

Another good one:
Half-Baked: Dave Chappelle

Half Baked is the quintessential stoner movie. Pineapple Express gets an honorable mention. Both are hilarious.

I would have to agree with how high because it reminds of a very stupid story that did involve me being stoned.
I had just got my very first dvd player had never used or watched a dvd before this one. I borrowed How High from one of my buddys after a night of heavy smoking. I got home and put the film on, now some how without realising I had put on directors comentery, a feature I did not know existed. I proceded to watch the entire film feeling very dazed and confused about what was happening.

He was exposed to radiation in some way that changed his "composition" He can be as large or small as he chooses, can be material or not. He became almost like a god, but one who doesn't actually give a crap about creation. This is not your regular superhero story. The good guys aren't always good and the bad guys aren't always bad. I just hope the filmmakers don't mess too much with the story.
sounds intense, trailer is awsome -- cant wait for the movi, i believe its coming out in Imax 2
The closest IMAX theatre to me is about 2 hours away...It sucks.
Guys read this graphic novel. It is phenomenal. I can't wait for this movie. I just hope it is half as good as the comic.
PS Philip K. **** wrote those scifi books.

Because there is no room for comedians anymore unless they are profane, loud, or obnoxious. Unless its Steve Carell or Will Ferrell.
I can't believe some people have listed action films and not listed my two "naughty favourites":
Luc Besson's Taxi, and Roadhouse.
Watching Taxi is great, watching it while thinking "how did they film that?" is even more amazing. Roadhouse, well who hasn't wanted to be either of the coolers in it?!?
As for Watchmen, will definitely be dragging the wife to it!
or even steve martin

I'll probably see this movie when it comes out as well. Anyhow, as for now, I think Taken is a must. Saw it yesterday on my Tilt and it's one of the best movies i've seen of late.
I've been getting my money's worth out of my netflix account lately and I've come across some very obscure but pretty good/interesting movies and I thought there might be one or two other people here who enjoy good movies
Share em if you got em but please no blockbusters, they get enough attention.
Interesting and Unique Movies:
INK
Visioneers
Revolution OS
Gabriel
Serenity
Right At Your Door
Deadline
Food INC
*edit- Part of the OP is obviously easy to overlook, please let me reiterate:
Please no blockbusters, they get enough attention.
The goal here is to expose some great obscure movies that most of us may not have heard of before.
Thanks
Entropy is my favorite movie.

Also, Comedian was a great movie.

Bladerunner. Best movie ever.
netflix movies
The box, and the skeleton key are both movies related to TV shows like twilight zone and tales from the crypt but with hotter women leads.
Loved Serenity but the marketing of it was not up to the movie itself. It should have been a blockbuster.

I had no idea that firefly existed before I watched serenity, was a little confused!#
But after watching that, and then watching again, it made for very good entertainment. Definately would recommend it to most people.
(Random side note - I used to play a game called EVE, I thought there were a few, not loads, of similarities between the two.)
If you're into reading films, I enjoyed "La Haine" as well, but that is getting on a bit now.
Thanks for the input guys! I look forward to watching some new (to me) movies.

I'm assuming you have seen the Ong Bak and similar Tony Jaa films?
How about some Samurai films? The Twilight Samurai? Zatoichi?
Are you interested in good films with just one fight, or films where the fights scenes are the reason for the film (ie several fights)?
Good stories and acting? Or just fight scenes?
let me think..... karate kid with Jackie chan in it?
