[REQUEST] Boot Animation: Red Droid-esque - Nexus S Themes and Apps

Even though I have the Sprint Nexus S 4G I absolutely love the red/droid branding that Verizon is using. I searched and could not find one that was ready for the Nexus S... just some over there for the EVO. Does anyone have one, or would anyone be so kind as to get one running for the NS4G.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out. I've really got to sit down and figure out how to do this stuff myself so I can contribute .

Try this one......

Just rename it and place it in the right location.

Rename it "bootanimation" then move it to system/media via Root Explorer.

You're welcome.

Heard this is the keyboard to have, they have no patent rules there and the keyboard is top notch with everything loaded in unlike every where else (so i hear)

Is it me or does the spacebar look the size of an invisible ant? It's so tiny.. @ 4.06
Yeah it does but remember he's on the browser, so the ".com" button is taking up some space too. I bet without it, it looks great

Tried Googling too see if I can download got nothing. Pulled it from a Samsung rom, and kept getting fc.
Anyone one know of a modded one

Hmm so no go so far? If we get the right dev person on it, we will be golden.

looks like a nice keyboard for sure
we may never get to see this Keyboard. ='(
I saw this keyboard in action from my cousin's GS2 from Korea. It's insane. I can type on it all day at probably 95% accuracy. With my stock gingerbread keyboard, I'd be lucky to hit 80%
i really hope we can get a dev to port this for us NS4G users.
id really like to give it a try lol
Here's the link to the apk that i grabbed from somewhere else, i've pushed it to system/apps and changed permissions but not it's working, maybe it needs the touchwiz framework?

Stock Boot.img Boot Animation

Flashed Revolt for a friend of mine. He didn't like the bootanimation of the Droid Bionic on his revolution, especially since it was really laggy. So I made this flashable zip to replace the boot.img animation with the stock LG Revolution one.
Thought I would share rather than keeping to my self. Kinda lame that you can't change the bootanimation by putting it in /system/media. *sigh* Oh well. Flash this using recovery.

Thanks! It is laggy this should be good

Awesome. There was one posted in another thread somewhere
I like the bionic boot.. didn't notice lag but haven't seen actual bionic for comparison

Started working on it yesterday lol. I'm afraid the images are too big though

aww man that sucks Thanks for trying though!
Ya, with it being embedded in the boot.img makes things difficult. There is only a certain amount of space to work with in the boot.img and unfortunately there isn't much.
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda premium
Thanks - as much as I liked the Droid one, it was too laggy
The whole boot animation is just 1 example of why this phone sucks. Without being able to use any boot screen you want, you can't truly customize your phone to your tastes.

Nexus S vs Vivid

I just got offered a flawless Nexus S for my Vivid (has a cracked screen). Do you guys think I should take the offer?

Depends of you're going to miss sense or not. Also, isn't the screen smaller?

I HATE Sense lol. I'm already buying the galaxy nexus and was planning on selling my vivid, but the nexus s is in really good shape! Guess I'll have 2 Nexus devices

Guess its a preference thing...I like sense...especially compared to touch wizzard and motocrap...sense is a little 'heavy' with 4.0 though..can't wait for damn bootloader to be unlocked...but that's just first hurdle..
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
I've seen sense clocks on many other devices trying to imitate the sense's look. Why not just try a custom launcher, you'll do that anyways on any other device
Sent from my HTC Vivid via Tapatalk
you can always flash a custom AOSP rom like virtuous inquisition or the wajee one and get rid of sense.
I have virtuous ROM, but I'm going ahead and trading my vivid for the nexus s.

Vivid Rocks man , anyday
I can't really find a phone worthy to replace my vivid yet. Of course something similar or a little better, yes, bu not that "wow" device. The direction some manufacturers go (no sd card or removable battery, even quad-core with lte) I guess I'll keep it for at least 9-12 more months.

I wanted to see how cracked is your screen is. Can you post up some pics of it...?
Edit: NVM found it...
you can always flash a sensless rom. then you might fall in love with the vivid again. once you rip out sense and att apps, the device starts to perform

[Q] HTC Ringtones/Notifications on Google Play Edition

Hi all, I have a Vodafone HTC One and I just changed all the firmware and software over to a Google Play Edition HTC One. I realized I no longer have the HTC ringtones and notification sounds, just the typical Google ones. I really miss them, anyone know how to find them or get them onto my phone so I can use them again, with the GPE version software?
Thanks!
Yes I can upload them to u but it might be a bit as I'm not rooted st the moment. Waiting on a replacement Monday so if someone hasn't helped u by then I got u ok.

Installing Android M Preview 2

Does anyone know of a relatively quick, none convoluted way to install Android M Preview 2 on the Nexus 6? I would really love a step by step way to do it, cause all the different videos im seeing on youtube just dont pan out. I have a Mac, so id love a way to do it on there, but... If no one knows of a way ( and has tested it out them selves ) I can get my hands on a PC.
