Someone know if we can just flash the firmware and not PDA part (OS) ?
In order to have an update firmware with a chevron NoDo
2 questions for advanced users :
- In this new firmware there isn't csc file. It's a problem ?
- Can we use phone and eboot files of this rom and PDA file of another rom ? with this methode we can have the lastest firmware with WP7 7004. But I don't know if it's possible.
Edit : same question than rvmax lol

Ok I check Omnia 7 service manual and I confirm you can flash only radio and boot loader.
I try on my phone and work. Took 2 min to flash no data loose.
The only problem is the firmware version of OS is not updated.

Thank I do it. It's all right.
The OS firmware is in PDA file ? Or if we flash (at once) radio and bootloader of this rom with OS of JK1 rom it work ?

Yeh OS firmware is in PDA file. Maybe samsung fix some bug or add new feature in it. New files or registry settings for the manufacture part OS.
Ok, so I tested it, but only the firmware and not the ROM itself. Hardware, radio and bootloader have updated.
My firmware revision is still 2424.10.11.1 not 2424.11.3.1 as shown in the photo above. Bootloader and hardware versions have updated though.
Did I do something wrong? Any idea on how to flash the latest firmware revision?

You can't. You can update radio and boot version without change os version and loose Chevron.
But hardware version won't be updated.
Marcox92 - Go to samfirmware.com and all the tools are there.
Also found out the answer to my question. Use the csc file from the previous rom you flashed and it will update the firmware. Don't forget you have to update via zune to the latest version then.

Thats not true mate, as I've already done that. Follow my guide on changing the faulty bootloader and you will be able to update radio, bootloader and the firmware as well.

I don't know as I couldn't be bothered with chevron as It's easier to just get an official unlock by setting up a edu email account - the guide is on here and it unlocks 3 phones.
Is it just me or is the lock screen wallpaper of the desert a new one?

This should be simple,
Only flash using the first two sections of the ROM (Phone and Eboot) and ignore the CSC and PDA part. Simple!!!
Report back your findings.

Makes me wonder if this will be the same firmware that T-Mo is going to push.

Absolutely, you can change it from SFR-FR to 000-88 (or your original value) after firmware update.

It worked fine for me on omnia 7 Mango RTM, here in Italy!
But now the question is: Will I receive Mango final update or I'm right so?
Many thanks.
If you updated the firmware you should already have final mango. Anyway thanks for help. I will try it tomorrow
Oke I tried this and it worked for me. I thought I would get internet sharing, but I can't find it at the settings
I forgot asking an important thing. If i update will my Phone stay unbranded (no app or sfr logo) and will my Phone stay product (not engineer)?? Really thanks again
About Internet sharing..we have already got it with diagnosis menu..don't be upset if we Don't have the setting in the normal menu!
Well, you get it via Zune, the official way, so it is retail, not engineer release. Phone stays unlocked, internet sharing (enabled via registry) still works, unbranded, basically no visible changes except new firmware / radio / bootloader versions in "About" page. Download mode still works as well.
Probably some little fixes only.

many tnx for ALL your usefull posts! i will tomorrow hit 3x tnx button just for you!
i have updated now my omnia 7 (000-08 unbranded) Mango relase with the latest SFR-FR Firmware.
feedback:
- I can't find special improvements
- the VoiceSearch works very, very bad. it uses much time to bring a result and you must very near to the handset microfon or you must very, very loud speak
with my last firmware 2424.11.8.5 VoiceSearch worked very well
- a very good thing is the zune backup function now i´m back on 2424.11.8.5 firmware

What can I say is that before the fimware update posted in this thread I have updated my omnia 7 with the one you can find here.
It seems to me that my gps is not working good, after update, but I don't know if that depends on the new installation of Navigon Select 4 because I didn't have time to try other gps apps. Is there anybody facing the same issue?
Edit: Gps works fine!!!!

Lots of thanks even to you! Just finished updating
Good day,
the following is information on my phone (HD7):
Update version: Update for windows phone 7 (7.10.7720.68)
Updated Bootloader version: 4.5.2250.0(129185)
Firmware revision number: 2250.09.12302.401
OS version: 7.0.7403.0
Hardware revision number: 002
Radio software version: 5.69.09.29a_22.50.50.21U
Radio hardware version: A.102.0.D4
Chip SOC Version: 2.2.5.0
I have read and followed Zubair Kirmani's method on downgrading the bootloader from 5.x to 4.x and would like to further downgrade, to flash custom roms and such.
I have also followed the tutorial at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1295068
and but could not download the radio files provided by the http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/HTC_HD7/Radios link as rapidshare says files are not available.
My stock rom should be RUU_Schubert_HTC_Europe_1.23.401.02_Radio_5.51.09.06a_22.30.50.09_Signed_SCHUBERT_RELEASE as I have successfully flashed it onto the phone before.
Could anyone mirror the links or send me the files or suggest another method to downgrade the spl (other than the goldcard method)?
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you.

Your welcome!
Basically since your SPL is 4.5 now, you can flash a stock/shipped rom that is 3.xxx or lower, (which is what you need to install RSPL/HSPL) extract the contents of the rom and inside of the stock folder is SPL_Signed.nbh. Enter into BL mode and flash the SPL_Signed.nbh using task 00. Once that's done your SPL should be at 3.xxx or lower. Then you can install RSPL/HSPL and then flash a custom rom.

You can still root but taking ota won't allow you to downgrade the bootloader, as of now that's not a big thing but that can change... To answer your question though yes you will be able to flash this rom when it's posted..
Just an FYI because I didn't see it mentioned in here, use CP not AP to flash modems.
Also, I had to use Odin 3.09 to flash the two .bin files.
So if 3.12 doesn't work. Try 3.09.

If you cannot wait for the release of US version, you can go around by switch to German version T580XXU2APL4, the same build as US version.

It takes only over 2 minutes to flash, then update software via wifi. The download is about 800MB, only about 5 minutes
Then finally I have Nougat for SM-T580. It's very easy to flash back when US version is available. Note: the German version is official firmware
so the status of the software is official. This procedure is not recommended to whoever not familiar with flashing firmware via Odin
Tablets sold in Europe or Asia are the same one as in US, firmware and software only be customized for certain region. So there is no differences if you flash firmware
from different region to your tablet. You just need to select English as your choice of language.

If you cannot wait for the release of US version, you can go around by switch to German version T580XXU2APL4, the same build as US version.
It takes 2 hours to download from sammobile. Here is the one I flashed

Mine was ready in minutes following the guide... are you sure that first you installed DBT German firmware? after that you can check for updates and thats it! the OTA appears and you are in Nougat!

It doesn't matter where you are, Samsung servers only recognize a tablet by product code, country code and build number.
You live in Asia with a tablet's Germany firmware, it still be able to update newest firmware. I live in US and don't have any problem
to update, after the moment I checked for update, it downloaded immediately .
This is a Germany build, and it only checks available updates for that firmware based on country code XXU

You can try a Factory Reset to see any differences.
I have two Note Pros , one updated to the newest firmware but the other won't update with the message newest firmware already installed.
I don't know what is causing this problem of the same two tablets.
I'm getting ready to change to an EU or Global ROM as soon as they are published. For previous OP phones, you would just go to https://www.oneplus.com/global/support/softwareupgrade , download the ROM, copy in the root folder of the phone and simply install it via System > System updates > Local upgrade. Once done, restarting and clearing the cache would be enough to enjoy the different stock ROM.
I can't find a Local upgrade in the new ColorOS, the closest thing is "Trial versions".
Is it possible to simply install a different region ROM without unlocking bootloader, etc? I'm waiting for the EU or Global ROMs to be released to try it myself but so far I'm a bit confused by the India ROM installation posts floating around.
Can anyone clarify if OnePlus has removed the simple Local upgrade or the current posts are dealing with some sort of ripped ROMs that require the additional installation hassle of unlocking bootloader to work?

Confirmed, it shows up as "Local install" although it's greyed out (?)
Would oxygen updater work for this? The software will automatically recognise the phone and download the ROM, you'd need to choose full update.
Then use fastboot to flash each image directly to each partition.
All images can be found within a full firmware within payload.bin, use payload dumper to extract the images and flash.
Haven't done this myself but it's possible it may work.

You can download full OTA package in my channel: https://t.me/s/OnePlusOTA
Then use https://github.com/libxzr/FastbootEnhance to flash.
There is a certain brick risk. Please make sure you have enough ability to repair before trying.

He's already changed region as far as I can tell, but the bloat is still present..
Might be worth trying another firmware tbh..
Local install is greyed out because there is an update pending. Put the phone offline, make hidden files visible and delete the update files or simply reset the phone, do not connect the WiFi during setup and activate developer options.
In any case, I've tried EU/IN official full ROM and both fail. This used to work just fine but seems to be gone now. Other users using using alternate methods to flash the EU ROM report Chinese bloatware still present, so looks like the install is not clean.
What a disaster.
