I just thought that I might repost this here, so that Nexus S /Nexus S 4G members can enjoy the different font without searching around this forum.
I tried different fonts and it works.
Just download the flashable font zip file and flash it with recovery,
you should be fine.
If you wanna have your own font,
and you do not find your font in that thread,
you can post the sample and they will do a flashable zip file for you.

Use Root Explorer.
1, Extract the font file onto SD card.
2, Copy the three font file known as "Clockopia.ttf" , "DroidSans-Bold.ttf and "DroidSans.ttf" and paste it at the internal storage under system/fonts.
3, Change the permission of those 3 files as to the same of the others font.
4, reboot and you should be able to see it

Curious about how to go about installing themes?
1)I looked but didn't see a beginners guide to installing themes---any help?
2) My phone is rooted and running superclean 2.9.x....
Am I limited to themes associated with this ROM?
thanks for all your help in advance
Since your running on eb01 you can flash any theme made to run on that build through cement just like u would install a Tom or kernel. Just install the zip and your good to go

I think his auto correct is a little haywire. What he meant was you can flash any theme made to run on that build through clockworkmod recovery (cwm) just like you would install a ROM or kernel. There should be a thread started with the funniest auto correct posts.
Please limit your questions to the Q and A forum, there are guidelines for a reason.

Not flashing for me either with CWM 3.1.0.1 says "Amend scripting is no longer supported. It was necessary to remove it when upgrading to the Clockworkmod 3.0 Gingerbread based recovery. Please switch to Edify scripting (update-script and update-binary) to create working update zip packages"
Which I do not know how to do. Please help.

The .so file needs to be edited. In the orginal zip you can find it.
But from my experiences it just bricks the phone.
I managed to get the Mms.apk from Cyanogen working on my stock deodexed rom. Settings works perfectly. All I did was compile against the stock sources, and voila, it all works.
I have only tested it on my Rogers i9020a Nexus S, running 2.3.4. Let me know if you have any issues.
I have attached both an apk for package installers, and also a zip for cwm. I highly recommend making a backup of your existing Mms.apk before trying this one, just in case.
Sweet! Thanks for this.
So you decompiled and recompiled? Can u explain more?
i grabbed the latest code for Mms from the cyanogen project on github, and i just replaced the stock Mms source with the one from cyanogen in the android source. i then compiled it, tested it on my phone, and it worked!
Oh ok. Nice job! Works great on Oxygen 2.2.1
Works on bugless and installed fine for me normally, thanx!

The Cyanogen MMS is more configurable. You can toggle between the standard white background and black background, you can change the font size, SMS split options, change the attachment save folder, custom user agent and other things.

After updating to latest bugless release installing isn't working anymore, it keeps going back to stock after a reboot. I used root explorer to delete stock and stuck the apk in system/apps and matched permissions and that worked.
Quoting myself is odd but I wanted others to see both of my posts together.

it looks essentially the same as the stock MMS.apk, but when you go to Settings, you have the option of changing the background to black, and changing the font size, etc.
I went through the system dump I had and found the boot animation of the Droid RAZR. I installed it without modification and it was slow and laggy, I modified this bootanimation so it would load faster. (Drop every other frame, change 15 to 30 fps, use PNG instead of JPG)
It should also work well with WVGA screen sizes.

I've downloaded and flashed several zip files meant to fix the 3g/4g bug in the exhibit 4g with cyanogenmod10. I'm running the Slimbean ROM. Why can't I get the fix to work? I load it onto my external sd. I then reboot to recovery. I flash the zip file and reboot, and the fix does not seem to take effect. Help!
The fix does not work for themes, if you are using a theme then that's why, only some themes actually have the 4g icons themed. Iced phone and crystal2 both have 4g icons not sure about others

Maybe I'm doing it wrong. I downloaded it. I copied it to my external sd card. I installed it using Clockwork Mod, flashing the zip using the Install From External SD Card command. No good. Still shows either 3g, or sometimes a capital H. What the heck? I live in a heavily saturated 4g city so it's not that I'm standing in a bad coverage zone. Help!

I'm using Slimbean. How do I know the version of clockwork mod I'm using? In what file folder would I find that?
The icon fix does work and I am using twrp not cwm. The thing with the icon fix is the theme might not support the 4g icons as cm10 uses the h icon in place of 4g icon. Stock theme in cm9/10 with fix does work. In jellybean extreme cm10 theme it doesn't because unsupported. Switch back to stock theme using theme chooser and it should show as 4g.
