I don't know what happend.. But my phone doesn't have any bootanimation anymore.. I tryed installing a lot of new ones to see if that was the problem..
Using Root Explorer..
But it seems like nothing i do seems to work.. It just showes the LG loading, and then stay for 4 sec until it boots the homescreen..
What happend, and how do i fix that without installing rom again ?
i dont know if this will help.
In the 1st link you will find a random boot animation.zip. CWM and then install it
In the 2nd link you will find all the bootanimations for the o2x (exept honeycomb animation) included in a folder called "bootanimations". Take this folder and put it in /data/local/bootanimations/ (Its a .rar file so, unzip it first before place it)
i think that should fix the problem and in every restart you will get a different bootanimation (10 in total)
PS: This is not my work, all credits goes to the owners of "randombootanimation" script, and ofc to those who make those animations
R.B.A.zip
bootanimations
Ill try and let you know.. Thanks for the fast reply.. =)
Didn''t work.. :S IDK what i made.. Nvm then.. =) I boots fast enough.. But just wierd.. :S

hey guys,
My g1 is stuck at the TMOBILE g1 screen.
i loaded this theme.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=541841
and it worked great but then i saw this theme and liked it better
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=520629
so i loaded it just like i loaded the first one. but it got stuck at the Tmobile g1 screen. so i tried to re load the other theme and its doing the same thing. i tried wiping by booting into Home+power button. but its still doing the same thing. can anyone help me out?? thanks.
What rom are you running? The first is for CM and the second one won't work on the newer CM roms. What you will prolly need to do is reflash the rom you want then make sure the theme you are flashing will work with the rom.

Uhm No, He said it worked fine with the first theme, for a cyan rom. His SPL has zilch to do with this unless it is a Hero rom/theme. But it is not, it is a theme for a older cyan rom. Repartition is the word i think you meant to use, and what is a "htc rom"? Don't get someone confused with bad advice please, we have enough problems in the Dream forums already.
And to help the OP, see what rom the theme you want to use is made for. And if is just the theme or the entire rom, as some themes are. If it is a small size like 10-20mb then it is just the theme in which case you want to get the rom it is made for and flash it (step 1 get it onto your sd and rename it update.zip, go into recovery and wipe, then flash the update.zip, reboot and go through the initial setup step get the theme onto your sd and rename it update.zip DONT WIPE!!! then flash update.zip). If it is the full rom+theme then you only need to go through step 1. Hope this helps with your troubles.
I looked this problem up on google and it brought me to this page. I am running CyanogenMod and tried to use this theme (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=541242). Now I am stuck at the "T-Mobile G1" loading screen. I tried taking out the battery. Doing a "wipe data/factory reset" and restoring the latest backup. Nada. I'm very frustrated. What can I do? (Also big thanks to everyone in this community who help make this phone so great)

What version of CyanogenMod are you running? You should make sure you have the newest which is 4.0.3.1, so what you need to do is wipe, flash cyanmod 4.0.3.1, make sure you download the correct version of that theme here is the link and flash it. Just make sure you DO NOT wipe before flashing the theme. You should be all set after. PM me if you need more help.
How many people are going to have to ask you lol...? We want to help but you gotta tell us what CM version you have.

Flashing is changing the rom. You can find roms in the android development forum. I would suggest you use cyanogen mod 4.0.4 and then goto the themes and wallpapers forum and find one that works with it.
First thing you need to do is download the cyanogen mod 4.0.4 rom from android development forum. Put it on your sd card (if you cant boot up your g1 then goto recovery (home+power) and then goto console, hit enter, then type ums_enable and hit enter then you can plug it into your computer and load the cyanogen 4.0.4, rename it to update then on your phone type ums_disable and hit enter) then unplug your phone and type recovery and hit enter. Now hit wipe and after its done hit apply update, when its done reboot your phone. It will take 5-10 mins to boot up and after you go the the initial setup you can plug it into your computer and put the theme you choose on the sd card, delete the cyanogen mod (update.zip) then rename the theme to update and reboot your phone into recovery, hit apply update and after its done reboot your phone and it will take awhile again. If you do it all right your theme will be applied and you will be all good.
Ha this is going to sound funny but no one has mentioned it yet and I know there are some impatient people out there.
Are you waiting at the G1 screen for at least 15 mins? After a flash it can take upto 15 mins on the G1 screen to boot.

What does the white text say?
Does it say something like this
HW Model = FB0
HW Version = PR232
SW Version = FB0-2310
If so then you have pressed the wrong buttons and got it into a special mode.
look at this post
http://androidforums.com/huawei-ascend-x-4g/387262-ascend-x-wont-boot-after-reset.html
i know how to get into download mode it just wont do it anymore the text doesnt even show up anymore
Ok now im stuck in some sort of boot loop that goes from off to download mode to a blue screen, but it only happens when i plug the phone in to a power source, but i dont even have to push a button i just plug it in and it starts going through the cycle that i stated above.
reading ur problem i jst figured out u had half bricked ur phone already now do one thing
put ur battery out and first charge it completly with external charger i dont know what u may call it bt its a charger that had pins on top and u jst add up ur battery's points on it and plug it into a power source
now let it charge for a while 1 or a half hour i think
then took ur phone dont plug in battery and connect charger and see if it still says battery is charging when there is no battery inside
if it says something like this gr8 u can have your phone replaced like i did jst got 2 bricks of mi-410 replaced from service center
tell them this story
i was sleeping in the night and in the morning when i woke up battery was drained so i connected charger from then its behaving like this only .... and dont say u charged battery jst give it to them
nd wait for answer
i m sure service attendents are not at all so intrested in knowing what happend they jst take it for replacement and would give you time period when it will be back
thats the only option left now
and i assume that u have ur phone in warrenty no worries about what u ported or what not give it to them if its not running hell they too couldn't know what's inside with software
I dunno if this will help, but I managed to brick myself thrice, but was saved as I had a backup of the original phone .img files. I suggest you search on forums for these files or publish Ur email id so I can forward to U. I cannot upload them as the zip file is 30mb+.
Here is my saved stock image folder uploaded to Dropbox.

Just cool down...........
1. Charge your battery externally ...... as it will not though your phone .....
2. PUT in your phone
3. Put it in download mode
4. flash with .nbo (sharp or any one) by SUT
because your battery drained you are failing to get it repair ....
hope this will work.....

Those were the stock image files however sorry somehow the boot.img is not there. I don't have the stock on my phone right now. maybe someone else can post it.
Hi all I think I messed up the same way, can anyone please post stock image files, the link above no longer works. Please and thank you for any help.
Nevermind I have resolved
Ok so I know how to get in and out of this strange mode.
In stock rom recovery menu. Press up down keys and the hit menu softkey. This will cause a reboot. To get out of this In stock Rom Recovery menu. Press up/down keys and menu softkey. The phone will reboot. It seems that this mode should be useful for some function of the phone. I will investigate further.
FTM over android drivers are installed. What ever that means.
Field Test Mode May or not be useful for devs.
Hi everyone!
I ve got the same problem. I may somehow deleted all the sstem files and now I can't get anything excep blue screen while booting my phone.
So what I have:

however. CHARGE SOME and turns on. yay. CWM reflash or reset/hard . FIX phew!!!!
so your good?
Also don't forget to wipe the caches when you flash a rom. It could be the source of your boot looping as well

Hello.
yesterday i tried the new Dmod rom and my phone worked 100% corectly. after 2 hours i flashed the Golden kernel V2 next to it. and my phone wont boot anymore.
i managed my way out of the problem by re- partitioning my phone with a pit file i found here and an old faria kernel i already had tried and knew it was working.
but offcourse i'm a real hardhead so when my phone worked again on the Faria rom i tried the Dmod V6 again and offcourse my phone is bricked again
the only problem is that i cant do the previous fix anymore because it doesnt work anymore.
when i try to boot it i get the samsung galaxy logo and then black screen.
i cant boot into recovery(it's a know bug in the golden kernel V2) by using the 3 button combo. and i cant reboot my phone in recovery with ADB or something because i cant boot phone. so a reboot to recovery is not possible.
anybody has any idea's what i can try next? anybody has an idea of a pretty standard kernel i can try to flash using ODIN (the only way i can get to the phone is going into download modus with the 3 finger combo and using adb/odin, yes download modus still works)
ow and i'm going to the welcome pages in a minute. its my first post over here!
Try one these stock kernels here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2187295 if you have a standard i8190 try the last kernel but new AME1 at bottom of the list.

Have you tried to boot to download (odin) mod?
A I remember the three button to recovery should work on golden kernel v2. It's the "reboot recovery" command that doesn't work. Makes a normal boot instead.
tried a stock kernel and one kicker63 said. no progress.
still just the samsung galaxy logo and nothing else.
i can get to download modus. that aint a problem ( i'm happy this still works )
@ Tyson: in the thread of the golden kernel V2 it states the recovery mode aint working... could be its the adb commando or the 3 buttons combo... dont know. all i know is that the 3 button combo is not working anymore on my device!
anybody knows a way to flash a recovery with odin?(just cant find it.... would be nice to try to get to recovery so maybe i can wipe and flash from there! )
thx 4 reply's
You'll find all recoveries in my signature
found an old rom(HOME_I8190XXAMA1_I8190OXAAMA1_790526_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5) flashed with odin.
phone reboots. goes to recovery(so that works again :victory asked to install an UNTRUSTED.zip did this.... phone reboots... works....
i realy like have NO idea what the solution is for my problem. the good thing is its working.
so steps are: flash another kernel(preferable standard one ) + repartition with the .pit file using odin(you wil find the .pit file here on the forum) then try some odin flashable roms....
not a realy clear solution but i hope somebody can use it in the future.
thx everybody for the reply's. realy nice to see some new input!
