[REQ] Semi-Transparent Notification Pulldown Stock CM7 - Nexus S Themes and Apps

Would love to see a semi-transparent notification pulldown as either a theme or as flashable. Currently running Evo-Deck on the NS4G, but a CM7 based mod of this would be great since this ROM has CM7 elements.
Looking forward to seeing this made happen!

There are clear status bars. Mikeinid has one and the giger theme does.

I should have been more specific. I would like to keep the stock Gingerbread look and have just the pulldown transparency done. So completely stock except for the transparent pulldown.

I'll do it when I get time all you do is add the drawable-hdpi images from the stock apk into one like mikeinid's. Simple if any don't want to wait. Don't overwrite the shade_bg.9.png (.9 optional) that should be your transparent image

Or ... you can use UOT ( ultimate online kitchen) let's you do a lot of mods and is very easy to use

I'm looking for something similar. I only see battery icons. I already got the battery mod that I want

At the start page make sure you have selected "SCB with %, Version Z, Custom type, colors" after you have chosen your battery style you can customise smileys and icons, followed by your notification bar. You can also select a custom boot animation
My theme had already been released. Right now I'm just looking for said icons in the op. Goto the samsung epic theme section and look for the emotionless beast theme and you'll see my theme.

been a while since i did a theme. like back in the 1.6 on a g1, days hahaha umm just wondering if in these builds if the themed portions for the drop down notification bar and for thebackground of the notification bar and icons were still stored in the same place or if the theming method has changed since those days

[Q] [REQ/QUESTION] ICS with Gingerbread theme

Hello,
I do not like the blue/cyan color of ICS, I like it green.
How can I change this or will someone make us a gingerbread theme for ICS?
I tried the gingerbread theme for ADW but that only changes the shape of it not the color. It's mainly just the color, so not the app drawer and laucher.
And how do I get the clock back in my status bar?
Thanks in advance.
don't know bout a GB theme, but I can definitely tell you that you should have a clock in the notification/status bar, just like in GB.. maybe try a new clean flash of ics..!?

Got the clock back, it's now only gone when you go to the lockscreen, but I don't think that shouldn't be like that.

[REQ] Changing 4.1 Notifications

Hi, I am wondering if its possible to change the android notifications in 4.1 so that it is not black with the blue line. I would prefer if it looked like the notifications from sense 4.0 or the ones from gingerbread, where it is mainly grey and has a solid bar at the bottom.
e.g.
http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/04/main1-1333318032.jpg
https://encrypted-tbn3.google.com/i...Fq8cQgvFQD7olB_DaWWOBY2HaxHwMR2U456tY4XnsPP8D
So I humbly request if somebody could give me a flash able zip or tell me a method that changes the notifications to grey, and the status par to almost transparent (like sense 4.0).
I am currently running 4.1 aosp chocolate w/ thalamus if that helps.
Thanks,
Continuum
I have tried and searched for status bar transparency but have had no luck yet. JB does it different than ICS. On some thread somewhere, a themer said it couldn't be done in JB but I don't know for sure

The status bar transparency is possible to change. I think what your saying is the notification tray. Yup its impossible to changed it ive tried it hundreds of time. Its different with the notification tray in gnex. I think its hard coded inside ns systemui

Just takes some toying with and someone will figure it out.. Anything can be themed just takes some time to figure it out..
Well that's a shame.
Thanks anyway though.
I've tried it myself, there's no XML tag for the Notification Tray background color that can be easily changed; some more in-depth digging is in order.

Guys, no off-topic please..
Bump bump, anyone with some theming skills? It shouldn't bee too difficult to make a simple AOSP theme, I think.
its actually difficult coz we need to kill the sony theme engine, and find the sony lines in framework and rewrite those

Is this why we have bootloops when flashing a modified framework-res.apk?
My response to the request was going to be simply that as far as I know, nobody has managed to recompile framework-res without causing bootloops, and until that's resolved, we're not going to see much real theming for T/V. Without the option to edit 9.png's and xml's, there's no way to modify - among other things - popups, most buttons, tabs, color values, text styles, etc. I've mentioned this issue in the apktool thread but gotten no response, I guess the next thing I'll do is report it as an issue on their website.

There are quite a few things that can be modified without touching framework-res, like nav bar buttons (which has been done already), background image/color and status bar things like text color, center clock, toggle buttons. Also, we could modify one of the stock Sony themes to get a little closer. It wouldn't be real AOSP but I think we can get pretty close. Let me know if this is acceptable and I'll give it a try.

THAT would be great. Would also be great if you can remove the silver bar on the dock, or maybe guide me to the right direction.
For the past two days I've tried making the status bar and the navigation bar to fully transparent, but no luck. Modifying framework-res.apk causes bootloops and systemui crash. >.>
Im not knowledgeable to the point to avoid this yet
I shouldn't have said "no real theming", because not only is that being too negative and a bit over-dramatic, but it takes away from the work that people have already done and are doing now. So apologies for that!
And sorry for the OT.
Do you see this??

Removing the dock bar is easy but it's a little too late here to go into that now. Modifying framework-res is a no-go, at least not in the easy re/decompile way.
I've made a little package with my modifications. I know some people have already done bits of this but it felt better doing it all in one go from scratch. All files are taken from galaxy nexus and nexus 4 factory images (jzo54k and jdq39). This has small nav bar buttons from recoba23 and lidroid power widget by peetr_, modified a bit by me. Made a custom theme to better fit the jelly bean blue color and wallpaper + lockscreen background. Replaced the app background with just plain black. Nexus bootanimation. Added AOSP launcher. You can get the AOSP lockscreen by renaming/deleting UxpNxtLockscreen.apk but it doesn't look right, there was some kind of weird bar at the bottom
Let me know what you think could be better or feel free to customize it. Maybe we should start a new thread or change the title because it's not really a request anymore
