first, post this in the right section. Your device has it's own sub-forum, located here
Now, look through the developmental section and you will find guides on how to root your phone, and how to install a custom ROM.
First of all, I don't have permission to post in the DEV forum, so I need to post it here. I'm trying to install Android on my Touchpad. For the life of me, I can't find the ACME installer download anywhere. I used the link on the Alpha thread but it downloaded some file that doesn't seem to be the installer. I've looked at all the instructions and readmes on the various threads but can't find a damn link to the file. I've even googled it and can't find it. I'm sure I'm missing something very simple so if someone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

I downloaded a JVT ROM from RK recently, worked well. Detail your issues in that thread and let's see...
Hi There,
I don't know why but i just got my hands over a Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000. It has Android 2.2 on it and i would like to update at least to 2.3.6.
Since i find only broken links around here, i would like to know if someone is able to upload the "Tools" somewhere and explain me what should i do to get:
1. ROOT ( SuperUser is instaled so i should be ROOTed now )
2. CWM ( I know i must flash a kernel but, what have i got to use? )
3. A Good ROM that makes it a little smoothe.)
Let me know asap
Wrong forum - post questions in the correct forum (hint: it's the q & a forum). I suggest you search, it's not that hard to find what you need.
