They are a mix of 1.6 and 2.1. 1.6 is V10x and 2.1 is V20x. Also, dont try and flash 1.6 on a 2.1 phone, just a warning lol
Jack

good job

Thank you very much! Now I can have my warranty again.

You're right, it isn't. But Fastboot is disabled, but I think recovery can be flashed without the need of a fastboot ROM.

And how do you flash recovery without fastboot? I like to know!

Through terminal emulator or advanced. You need to use a binary file called flash_image. Its included in cyanogen roms.

Download the flash_image (from here) unzip it and put the flash_image file on your SDCard. Also download the Recovery image you want (I recommend 2.5.1.8, download it here) and put that on your SDcard too. (Rename it to recovery.img)
Using a terminal emulator. Type the following:
Code:
su (Press "Allow" when the prompt comes up.)
cd /sdcard/
chmod +x ./flash_image
./flash_image recovery recovery.img
sync
reboot
When the phone restarts, hold in the home button and you will be greeted with Recovery.
Hope it helps,
Jack

Yes, but this right partly. You can flash it but you can not boot to it.
Because this is disablen in LG bootloader and original KDZ does not have a "misc" partition needed for recovery.
So in any case firstly you should flash a modified KDZ that enable booting in to recovery and fastboot and add a needed "misc" partition.

If you have some problem with JV8 (Claro Puerto Rico branded) use JV6 (International version). Try with full reset >> *2767*3855#
Check that you have a i9000T
That did it Your the best!!!!!!!!!!!

Will either of these allow one to unlock their phone? I have a I9000T from Guatemala that I want to use with Movistar here in Nicaragua.
UPDATE: These do not unlock unlock the phone. To do that one needs to get Root, the Galaxy S Unlock app, and the 3 button fix to replace Claro's funky bootloaders.

Do updates on the international Note work the same way as updates on carrier branded?

Today I finally left Sprint after 8 years of service and got myself an International Galaxy Note. I signed up for the Straight Talk prepaid cell service and everything is working great so far. My question is related to how international phones update when you use them in the United States. Can you receive updates by checking for OTA updates on the phone itself? I have provided a screen shot of the "About Me" portion of my phone. Can someone tell me if I am running the latest stock OEM firmware? Thanks...
It appears that you have a rather old South American GB version running on your Note. UBKK3 was released in November 2011, so UBKK2 must be even older than that.
Judging by the Sammobile, South American Notes don't see much OTA updates.
Go here for the list of the latest GB versions. All of them can be downloaded and flashed via PC Odin.
Thanks for the fast response
Please bare with me as I am new to flashing different roms and usually just did the OTA updates.
Which of the following roms should I flash to use in the United States?
N7000XXLC1---------2.3.6-------2012 March----------N7000OXALC1-----------Open Europe----------------------------- Download (wipe)
N7000XXLC1---------2.3.6-------2012 March----------N7000OXALC1----------Open Germany-----------------------------Download
N7000XXLC1---------2.3.6-------2012 March----------N7000OXXLB3---------Nordic countries---------------------------- Download
N7000XXLC1---------2.3.6-------2012 March----------N7000OXXLB3-----------Macedonia--------------------------------Download
N7000XXLC1---------2.3.6-------2012 March----------N7000CPWLB2--United Kingdom (Carphone Warehouse)------------- Download
N7000XXLC1---------2.3.6-------2012 March----------N7000OXXLB3---------Portugal (TPH)------------------------------Download
N7000XXLC1---------2.3.6-------2012 March----------N7000SFRLC2----------France (SFR)-------------------------------Download
So I am now rooted via Dr. Ketan's method. I am assuming I install CWM now, then choose a rom to load on. Is this correct?
Also, which room should I choose from the list above? One of the "open" ones? Will I still be rooted after flashing to one of these?
I downloaded "GalaxyNoteRecovery.zip" but I do not see the folder for the "UBKK2" kernel that is on my phone. How am I suppose to get Clockworkmod Recovery on my phone?
Finally updated to the "Open Europe XLC1" rom!
However I lost root in the process, how do I get it back on this new XLC1 build?

[Q] Going back to Stock

Hi I rooted my One specifically to try out the GE rom. I can't tolerate the couple bugs so I want to go back to offical att stock. I'd like to stay rooted so I can try better GE roms when they eventually release. I found this guide here to do so, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265618 ... It's in the middle of the OP. "Rooting stock ROM"
Is it really this easy? Just download Rooting Tools and flash in twrp like a normal rom? - http://goo.gl/J3zJv
Why is it downloading as Android Revolution when is supposed to be the official ATT rom? Sry for 50 million questions, Thx in advance
Stock is not ARHD even if Mike posted it. It's simply the ruu unmodified. And yes, you can flash rooting tools and be rooted. It's simple as that.
Sent from my HTC One
It's a part of my guide, if you want you can try it. Sure I'm not Mike1986, but my guide is functionnal
[GUIDE] Download HTC One M7 RUU - Restore back STOCK
Find your HTC One M7 Rom Update Utility (RUU) is very useful if you need to restore back your device to Stock after any modification you’ve made. If you have rooted your One, unlocked its bootloader, installed custom recovery and roms and finally you want decided to getting back to official firmware and then to get or accept future OTA updates again. It’s the best way to restore back your device to Stock.
Coming back to stock is also useful if you have some bugs (for fixing it), Bootloop, stuck in boot screen logo and freeeeezzziiiinnnngggg, etc....
But before to going back to stock, you need to know :
Your bootloader will never be “LOCKED” again !!! You can’t restore it, just RELOCK it.
The “TAMPERED” text in your bootloader will only disappear after the flash of your RUU.
1 - Where I can can find the right RUU for my HTC One-M7 ?
First, you need to download the RUU that matches your device according to what carrier you have, hboot version, and baseband. The RUU will not run if it doesn’t match your device.

SM-G977B - Flash to BTU not working but ODIN Passes

Hey all
Strange one here, i have a SM-G977B (S10 5G on EE UK), i have unlocked it and trying to flash BTU firmware on it via ODIN (download fw from sammobile)
It flashes ok and passes but when phone starts up its CSC is TEL! (Australia!!)
I have re done the flash with XEU and still the same. firmware version says TEL/TEL/EVR in settings
any ideas on this? can this model be flashed to a different region? i want it on BTU not EVR (EE UK)
tried few versions of ODIn too, and left all check boxes default
Thanks
ok, i have reflashed the latest EVR firmware back to the phone and it has taken this fine
Wonder why it doesnt like BTU or XEU?
What firmware files were you trying to flash specifically?
Sounds like you downloaded the wrong one. What are the names of the firmware files you flashed?

Hi
Tried these
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/firmware/SM-G977B/BTU/download/G977BXXS2ASJ7/299842/
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/firmware/SM-G977B/XEU/download/G977BXXS2ASJ7/299840/
The above all flash on in Odin, but when the phone starts (even with uk sim in the phone) it defaults to Australia language and 2x Telstra apps install automatically, software info says tel/tel/evr
I then tried this one:
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/firmware/SM-G977B/VOD/download/G977BXXU2ASJ5/299590/
And the above install the 2x Vodafone uk apps automatically which is fine as I am on Vodafone uk but in software Info is still says vod/vod/evr
What my issue is now is I don’t seem to get 5g on this phone even though I’m on a a 5g contract and has worked previously on a note10+ 5g handset.
Is this handset 5g modem locked to ee?

Did you enable OEM unlock in developer options before flashing?
I am waiting for delivery of an EE branded S10 5G tomorrow and planned to flash BTU firmware

OK, well I have always had to do that to change CSC via FW flash since the S9 range was released in 2018.
I am waiting for postman to deliver my S10 5G today so will try to flash BTU with OEM Unlock enabled, and let you know the outcome.
(If it doesn't work for me, i will do same as you and flash a network specific FW via Odin - H3G is my network provider).

If you go to software information in settings, does it say h3g/h3g/evr?

Yes exactly. My product code is also SM-G977BZAAEVR, so its always going to be an EE UK handset
Hello,
I have the same phone (SM-G977B), I exchanged it with someone in Shanghai (without a box, stupid me)
It was rooted with some CHC firmware (which did not let me download any Google play services), I tried to root the phone (my first time) and ended up re-locking the bootloader.
Later on, while trying different things, I ended up deleting the firmware from TWRP (as I formatted the data, cache folders/directories) as it was not booting up (bootloop on Samsung logo).
Long story short (and rather sad and stupid):
I have a brick phone which has no SD card slot, No OS installed, I do not know the original CSC (except that it was bought in some country in Europe), other firmwares does not flash with Odin (gives me Repartition error failed error), I am unable to mount the device (thought I could transfer the firmware using MTP), I can not change TWRP (downgrade or upgrade) as disk won't mount (for some reasons). I have formatted the disk, changes its format to ext4, ext2 etc.
Any ideas?

Firmware

Is there any other places than Xperifirm that we can source the firmwares?
I've unlocked my bootloader ready to root however via there is only Hong Kong, Taiwan and something called "internal", though still all for XQ-AT52 (dual sim) whereas I'm on UK O2 and so ideally need that or perhaps another EU one. Just want to be able to patch the boot img for root!
Many thanks
Hmm would anyone on O2 UK be able to try download the firmware via the Windows Xperia Companion app, find the downloaded firmware, covert the relevant files into a boot img?
Use adb
dd if=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/boot
