[Q] Going back to Stock - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Hi I rooted my One specifically to try out the GE rom. I can't tolerate the couple bugs so I want to go back to offical att stock. I'd like to stay rooted so I can try better GE roms when they eventually release. I found this guide here to do so, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265618 ... It's in the middle of the OP. "Rooting stock ROM"
Is it really this easy? Just download Rooting Tools and flash in twrp like a normal rom? - http://goo.gl/J3zJv
Why is it downloading as Android Revolution when is supposed to be the official ATT rom? Sry for 50 million questions, Thx in advance
Stock is not ARHD even if Mike posted it. It's simply the ruu unmodified. And yes, you can flash rooting tools and be rooted. It's simple as that.

It's a part of my guide, if you want you can try it. Sure I'm not Mike1986, but my guide is functionnal

Click to collapse Yes, but this right partly. You can flash it but you can not boot to it. Because this is disablen in LG bootloader and original KDZ does not have a "misc" partition needed for recovery. So in any case firstly you should flash a modified KDZ that enable booting in to recovery and fastboot and add a needed "misc" partition.

[Q] Question about RUUs for the M7 (Chunghwa telecom)
I currently have an M7 purchased through Chunghwa telecom in Taiwan, reading through the forums i found the list of RUUs and it seems like x.xx.751.x - Chunghwa Telecom (Taiwan) should be the correct one for my device - out of curiosity, is this RUU available or has it not been released? Alternatively, will the generic x.xx.709.x TW-version work? Furthermore, has anyone been able to start the 709 RUU executable under windows 8 64 bit, it will not run on my computer, not in compatibility mode either.
[Q] Flashing Stock Rom
Hello everyone I just bought an HTC One (Great device by the way) it's not available in my country so i had to buy it from france it's the 801n model and it was locked to Orange France carrier but i unlocked it to be used on any other carrier BUT i still have some built-in system apps from Orange that are really useless and I didn't receive the latest android 4.3 update so i Was wondering if there's a way to flash a "STOCK" firmware on my M7 thank u (i'm new to HTC stuff)
Here you can found the stock rom. However, i advice you to put the phone in s-off if your hboot is 1.44 or wait the tool for the 1.54
How to turn my European HTC One to a Thai HTC One?
Hello, I bought a new HTC One (M7) in Switzerland for a Thai friend. When I turn on the phone, I can select a language in the list of the pull-down menu. The Thai language is missing in this list and I would to add this language. 1. Can I get the Thai language if I flash the phone with a firmware using ODIN? 2.a Which firmware should I use to get the Thai language, and where to download it? I would like to use the HTC official firmware, this one pre-installed in HTC One sold in Thailand. 2.b Same question for the Samsung Galaxy S4. 3. If I understood the guide below, a hard-reset* will not reset the phone to the original HTC firmware pre-installed on the phone when I bought it. Isn't it? * After flashing the phone with another firmware. http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/what-is-meant-by-firmware-stock-custom-roms-and-flashing-guide/ Thanks in advance and regards.
ODIN? Is not that for Samsung? Not working with HTC. But flashing a different ROM will solve your issue. Point 3 is correct. Though i don't think that official firmware for a different region can be flashed without modifying a couple of things in the phone. AFAIK you need S-OFF because of the CID and change it to a different one than current or to SuperCID. CID stands for Customer ID. HTC implemented this check to prevent flashing other region firmwares. For example, if you have a phone which CID belongs to Singapore, you normally can't update ROM from other region like EURO/USA/CHINA etc. You've to use same region firmware. Remeber that, SIMLOCK is not related to CID, if you sim unlock a phone still you may not be able to flash other region ROM. But unlocking tools like XTC, HXC etc does CID unlock too as well as SIM unlock. To Determine your phone's CID I've made a small script. Download getcid.rar from attachment, extract, connect the phone to Computer in Fastboot Mode, run getcid.bat. It'll show phone's current CID. Click to expand... Click to collapse In my opinion it's better to unlock the phone, flash custom recovery and flash a stock custom ROM (official). I think WWE ROMs have Thai (see screenshot), if I'm correct.
O2 RUU anywhere?
I have a UK 02 branded Desire C. I unlocked it with HTC Dev, installed CWM recovery and then installed some custom ROMs. I now want to restore it to stock ICS 4.0.3 which I have but had hit an issue. I installed the untouched v2.0 that is available on here but this ROM doesn't have NFC which the original ROM did. I have found some RUU's for this device but not for this CID (cid: 02__001) - the ones I found are HTC only CID's and a H3G one. I am looking for an O2 RUU - is there one available anywhere? Andy
