Hi, pls help me.
My SGS 2.3.3 running CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVO-v3.2-CWM3RFS.zip, then i flashed up with Circular battery.zip (from Juwe's Rom) and install it with CWM (just want to try up as i never do before), after flashing, my SGS keeps rebooting after loading booting amination in 5 seconds and never stop until i remove the battery. I put in battery again, switch on, but same, it still keeping reboot. I'm a beginner. I very regret now after flashing .zip file with CWM.
Pls help me.
Regards

Had successfully flashed with original firmware 2.3.3 DXJV9 and did the factory reset. However all my sms has gone .
Btw, what is the best root kernel for this firmware?
I'm pretty sure JVO and JV9 are the same in kernel aspects so you should be able to use CF Root 3.2 JVO. The reason for these boot loops might have been because of the rom you were using, if it was a stock one it's no wonder it went into boot loops as Juwe's rom is deodexed so the addon would definitely not work. If it was a deodexed I'm not sure how it could have happened. But really the addon was made for Juwe's rom so unless you were running it it wasn't really the addons fault. Tips for the future: Make a backup in CWM, saves a lot of hassle with odin and saves your stuff. Have a CWM flashable rom on your SD card which saves you needing odin to recover. Hope this helps

I've tried that mate. I've deleted all backups and done fresh installs of a few different roms, but to no avail. It's got to the point that I have to keep updating my backups because the phone becomes unusable so often

If nothing helps then you can try this as the last option. You can reflash your firmware via Odin then custom recovery after rooting your phone and finally the custom rom you are using.

How exactly you perform clean install? And what scripts you flash?
Try going back to a stock ROM release, then flash CWM via ODIN and from there, a rom of your choice

I flashed SlaidyBoostV2.3, it made my phone completely unusable. I flashed the Beats script too, and that had the same effect.
I perform a clean install by wiping data and cache/dalvik. Then I flash the rom and repeat the wiping process. Am I doing something wrong?

I'm having trouble getting the stock firmware for my phone. It says the firmware is for SIM unlocked phones, and my phone is locked to one network. Looks like I'm gonna have to get my phone unlocked. I'll do this as a last resort if I can't find a solution.

I had recently flashed Gamerz Rom from ICS ROM. I flashed Midnight GB kernel over it. Now when I am trying to flash back ICS ROM, phone always boots into Recovery. I tried flashing different ICS ROMs, still it always boots into Recovery.
I don't know what to do.?
Try all three wipes...
If that doesnt work flash ur phone with stock firmware if u can go into download mode....

I always do all 3 wipes.
And yeah I am considering to flash the stock ROM, but am trying my best to avoid all those steps.
I m afraid but u have to go on stock first..

This "trick" is actually using if you go from gb to ics. I recommend you flash cyanogenmod 7.2 (2.3.7 GB), than go for cyanogen mod 9.0(for ics), than reflash any other ics you prefer.
cheers
I had the same issue two days ago.
I flashed GB 3 Part Firmware with Odin.
I booted into downloadmode, flashed cF-root kernel, reboot to recovery and then flashed Devil Kernel already.
I flashed it, because i wanted to flash from external sdcard. That devil kernel flash was the problem. Copy latest CM9 nightly on internal sdcard, and flash it from gb kernel recovery. While flashing process it should Reboot and continue the flashingprocess. Hope you understand, what i wanted to say ^^
Hope i could solve your Problem

Hi!
So i figured i wanted to get of the faulty ics leak in order to keep my phone safe, but it seems I was able to do the exact oppsite...
I will try to make a detailed overview of what I did, here we go.
I was using Stunner on CLP5. Followed this guide to do the downgrade:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jr3DDEh8vyc&list=UUlVIlK8QHZ2PFkXF97bA0lg&index=5&feature=plcp
What i did:
Flashed the Abyss kernel - rebooted
Wiped with the new recovery
Flashed rocketrom
Got stuck on bootloop. (I should've probably done another wipe here, am i right? )
After flashing Rocketrom, I once again got a new recovery, I figured I was on a safe kernel and recovery now so instead of trying wiping or a different rom, I was stupid enough to do a restore of a backup of a stock rom with root I had from December when i bought the phone.
This made everything even worse, my battery drained and I was unable to charge my phone through USB or 220v. Luckily I got my friend to charge my battery (same phone)
Booting up my phone agian, I was no longer able to acess recovery, but I still had acess to Download mode.
I flashed a stock GB rom successfully through PC Odin, and yet AGIAN I was stuck at bootloop. The file I flashed was a single .tar file. I didn't select update bootloader, should i try this? maybe re-ptartitioning?
I still have acess to download mode.
Has anyone got a clue how to fix this mess?
Thanks for all replies!

Please, pit partitioning seems to get thrown out there like smarties but imo should only ever be used as a very last resort as a lot can go wrong.
Have you tried wiping cache and dalvik? Sorts out reboots 99 percent of the time.

So basically here is what I did, I flashed this ROM right here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1953847
And now CWM will not let me flash any other ROM, trying to flash anything else just fails and it stays on the current ROM. I can re-flash the current ROM and I have done multiple times, but I am unable to remove it, even with a full wipe and formatting /system which is really weird. It's practically irremovable. I posted a thread about it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1962219
Without much luck because I'm a bit of a noob and I didn't quite understand what they were talking about.
The first time I flashed a custom ROM was using this tutorial right here:
http://www.androidauthority.com/gal...cs-cyanogenmod-9-cm9-official-nightly-107611/
I used Heimdall Suite to flash the custom kernel which allowed me to then flash CM9, (it's only after CM9 that I went to this Jelly Bean ROM and since then I have been unable to go to any other ROM)
So my question is, would I be able to just re-do this tutorial without fear of damaging the device and hopefully rescue it and flash a different ROM? (I'm wanting to flash BlackCNA)
Thanks
shameless self bump
Firstly, get rid of Heimdall unless you're on a mac? Search this forum for pc odin, make sure you've got Kies installed correctly. Go into download mode on the phone, Vol down, home and power held down until reboots into download mode. Connect to pc on mobo usb ports with original data cable, you should get a connection in pc odin, then flash any gb rom initially just to see if it completes and if not, post back with the error.

Bricking is always a possibility, but pc odin is by far the safest method to flash. The possibility is very small that you'll run into any problems at all so long as you follow instructions and don't take shortcuts.

ok so i obviously didnt think things though before doing this, i have an I9000 which was on GB 2.3.4. i decided to flash semaphore's 2.9.0 kernel and i tried installing nightly's Cm 10.1 rom on my device but to no avail as i keep receiving status 0. now i thought it was a bad download but it wasnt as i was able to extract the zip file without any problems, i then proceeded to download other roms as well to try to see if i could install any of it. im already up 8 hours and i still can seem to install anything on it.. worst thing is i've forgotten what baseband i was on so im stuck with an unusable phone. are there any solutions to this?
You can try to go back to GB via Odin.

is there like a universal rom that i can go back to ? im kinda a noob with flashing samsung roms haha. and i've tried flashing a jw4 stock rom but it doesnt allow me to partition my sd card. and once im done flashing the screen just shows a bunch of messed up colours and then i get into a bootloop.
I always follow this link whenever I want to go back to GB and I don't experience any problem:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...65&postcount=1
Be sure your phone is recognized by your PC. If not, you can install the USB drivers.
Here is a link for the USB drivers:

From GB Rom, you can decide to upgrade to ICS, then to JB.
But the important thing first is to make your phone running in GB with all features functioning normally.
Good luck.
the GB link is broken; well i managed to install a copy of JW4 BB running on 2.3.6 but wifi and physical home button is broken. from there i proceeded to flash with odin a Cm9 kernel, and did a full wipe and everything and then installed a nightly's cm9.1 rom. Problem is it installs successfully but it doesnt boot into the rom, instead it goes back into CWM after reboot.

It should work well on your phone. You can use this as base in case you want to upgrade to ICS then to JB.

Yeah, I have noticed that. All of the firmware links to fileshare sites take you to some other place where you are prompted to download a program called 'download manager'. What's all that about? Anyone know?
After you install the ROM, it just boots back to CWM, right? I had encountered similar problem, unfortunately I do not know if it's thr same. I installed the ROM through CWM, phone booted into CWM based CM10 recovery. Nothing more. Then, I fully wiped the phone again and installed the rom the second time. Then gapps and vuola!

Yeah when you first install the ROM via cwm it will reboot itself once especially if youre on an older version of cwm. Thing is I've flashed the ROM 3 times and it still does the same thing which is rebooting itself into cwm. I've just exchanged a new device with the shop I bought it from and I don't think I'm gonna do anything with it anymore and just let it stay on the ROM its on. Though I'm curious about one thing, I managed to get to cm9.1 but the home buttons and the soft press buttons don't work At all. Any idea as to why that happened ?
btw it comes with a preinstalled lidroid rom which is 2.3.4. and its pre rooted; its BB is I9000ZSJPJ, are there any roms out there for this BB?
