Hey guys, I have an ATT Tilt here and there are multiple scratches and marks on the shiny black outer rim of the face of the phone. Is there a way to buff these scratches out? Could I use car wax to polish these scratches out? Any other suggestions? Thanks
I am thinking, the scratch remover liquids for ipod would work but i'm not sure, find a decent reviews of it and give it a try i guess.

i dunno man, if you're gonna do it put some masking tape where the matte finish plastic is... the rubbery areas. it'll buff that part too

I had my phone on the drivers' seat between my legs, and of course, I go to get out of the car and it falls and hits the concrete. I have the zagg protector shield on it so my screen and back are still safe and clean.
The phone fell on the lower left corner of the trim and the upper corner. Both corners has abrasion on the trim and looks like it could chip off. I don't think the damage is worth trying to go about replacing the whole trim but I would like to know if it would be possible to some how sand out the cracked paint to smooth it out while keeping the same glossy sheen? Is there any special paint for this fix? Any other advice?

Sanding it would dull the paint and it would just look dull grey. If you really want to fix it you should tape off everything but the trim (electrical tape should do the trick), sand the trim down until smooth, and apply two coats of chrome spray paint.
Not sure if all that is worth it for just a little scratch but you could try!

So I bought a vertical leather pouch, apparently the offical T-Mobile one. Used my HD7 with it for a few days until my clear coloured argyle silicone case arrived. Went from the leather pouch and to the silicone case every few days and now I've noticed an odd stain/discolouration on the bottom part of the back case!?
I can't tell if it's the black coming off the leather pouch or if it's coming off the silicone case but I'd get it cleaned off! The diamond shapes in the stain make me think it's from the silicone case but it's not black so I'm entirely sure where it's coming from but it's getting worse
Any ideas anyone on how to safely remove this stain without ruining my back cover? I tried soap & water, pencil eraser, magic eraser, lysol wipes.. I'm afraid to go with a harsher chemical.
have you tried rubbing it in circles (medium to hard pressure) using a microfibre cloth (dry)? maybe the phone heat (which is usually on that location) caused some reaction with the plastic case and/or pouch ur using (especially the cases are tight)?
dude im having the same prob and i dont have any case windex seems to work ok for me though

I haven't tried a microfibre cloth. Not sure I have one. Are those the cloths used to clean LCD screens?? Anyway I also tried "Goo Gone" best known for removing the sticky stuff after peeling off tape or stickers but even that had no effect on this damn stain. I tried rubbing it softly with a q-tip and with a harsher cloth.
I haven't tried Windex yet. Maybe my issue is not cleaning right after it stained. But it's almost like this material of the casing is working against me and not easy to clean.

Yup, microfiber cloth used for cleaning the LCD (not the cheap ones that comes with some of the screen protectors). hope the stain problem gets resolved soon!

I just tried the microfiber and nothing.. Tried Magic Eraser again and nothing.. Tried Windex on a paper towel and nothing. Scrubbed hard too
This is ridiculous. And it's not like I can buy that piece to replace mine either. I don't care so much about the stain but I know when I sell it down the road the next person will cry about it. And I'd hate to this of having to discount the phone for some annoying stain.
Anyone know if I can buy the 2 piece replacement backing anywhere?? Should I try calling HTC for it maybe?
Hi, i was wondering if you guys have any nicks or little pieces missing the polyamide frame? When i open the flaps i think my nail digs into the frame and acts like a knife and cuts it. There is plastic underneath the rubber layer of the frame. I wonder what i can use to fill that nick up and bring it back to normal it's actually bugging me. What's your Xperience? and any idea's on patching it up? lol Thanks!
if you're a real badass you can use some metal glaze then sand it down till it's flush with the frame again.
but that would take some seriously dextrous fingers.
Same here a little dent or nick, but nothing to write home about luckily. Hope you can make it acceptable for you again.

How is the glass fit for everyone elses z3c? There is a decent size gap between the glass and plastic on the top side of my z3c, enough to where i can noticeably see dust and other material in the gap.
Am i alone? Is this a wide spread issue? It really takes away from the premium feel of the phone to see all this dust & crap between the glass and plastic :\. Will post up some pictures if they can make out anything.
It's not very noticeable for me, but there are smalls gaps all around the glass rear and front. It's not very visible on the black version, but I can see some debris stuck in there under bright light. I can also feel the gap with my nail. I have the impression that the bottom gap (backside) is a bit larger than the top gap. My previous phone, Xperia Acro S, had no gap around the glass whatsoever.

My first one - black - had this pretty bad so I sent it back. I got a different colour instead - red/orange - so any dust collecting would hopefully be less noticeable, but the gap is actually less in this replacement. There's only a small one at the top of the front glass now.
So I think the cut of their glass panels is maybe not as precise as it should be and there is a bit of variance. But most people will have gaps of varying degrees I think..

If you feel on the left and right sides with you finger nail, can you feel your nail "drop" a little bit between the glass and plastic, with the replacement unit?

Maybe just, but it's not enough for dust to get in any more. Only at the top now is the gap large-enough for dust.

Ah, sounds like how it is for mine. I think they all have this to some degree. I wonder if Sony has a technical reason for the gaps?
Going to return my z3c and get another one which will hopefully have a better fitting screen. The spacing between the plastic band around the screen and the "translucent plastic" is also big enough where debris gotten stuck in it. Very disappointing.

That spacing is always going to be there I think. Well it's not actually a spacing, it's just because the finish between the plastic band and the translucent sides is not a flush finish. This is just the design of the phone. It does catch some small debris on mine as well, but it's relatively easy to remove.
At least you can wash your phone if it gets too dusty.
Just don't do it under running tap water.

This is not the spacing i'm referring to. I talking about between the glass and the plastic. It definitely is not apart of the design of hte phone, as the right left and bottom edges are almost perfectly flush.

Ah gotcha. Yeah that spacing is disappointing but i'm "ok" with it. The glass spacing on the other hand i'm not ok with.
also mine has the gap in the left part,the right part its perfect
as you said probably the screen its not fit perfect,but for me its ok because i only see it if i look carefully.
I think it could actually be a safety measurement: if the phone falls and hits the ground with that plastic rim, the relatively small gap could prevent the impact from being directly transferred onto the glass.

I could believe that if it was the same gal on top and bottom, front and back. But it's not, it's only front top.
