Hi,
after flashing the stock GRI40 (2.3.3) from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=968396 , plus the accompanying su.update to get root access again, my notification bar went missing.
so far so bad, what I would like to know now is:
1. the best way to copy files to the SD card, as i can no longer activate USB data transfer through the notification bar
2. how can I get my notifications back? e.g. re-applying ROM
system info:
Android: 2.3.3
HBoot: 35.0017
Radio: 5.08.00.04
Recovery: Ra v2.2.1
Probably have to do a factory reset (wipe).
everything works fine now, thanks a lot!
How did you fix it? I'm having the same problem.

Does anyone knows if this has something to do with launcherPro?
Wipe takes too long... =/

I already posted the answer and the OP replied that that fixed it. How hard is it to read 3 posts in this thread?

Same thing happened to me and I found a solution which was posted on another thread in the Development section (forgot which one, sorry).
Basically, flash this AFTER flashing your new rom and your sd card mount should be working fine again. Hope it helps

I have searched on google your problem and it seems that there are more people who has/had this problem. So, might be an Skype problem. However, i didn't encounter this problem until now.
Is this problem happening since you installed this Rom?
In the same boat...anyone can how to solve this, please?
First of all sorry if by any chance I am opening a new thread in the wrong section. But as a new user iam not allowed to post in the original devs post. I flashed this rom and gapps and everything seems ok (this is my first time flashing a custom rom ). My issue is that with the stock rom rooted (5.0.2 xt1068) I had about 430-470mb of ram free at idle with no recent apps open and after flashing this rom iam having quite poor ram management about 280-300mb of free ram. Is that normal? Also already wiped dalvik cache and restart a couple of times. Thanks in advance.
PS. Also the GPS is not working as I just found.
edit: ( never mind the GPS i fixed it with the erase modenst1-2 in bootloader)

Yeah, the RAM is normal, every rom is optimized diferently.

Thanks man really appreciate the response.
Another question is that I want to flash the latest update to this rom. What do I have to do? Reboot into recovery wipe cache/dalvik cache ,flash the updated rom and wipe cache/dalvik cache again? If yes do I have to flash su again? Gapps I suppose and everything else stays untouched.
If u want apps and other stuf just wipe cache and dalvik otherwise clean install means clean everything system data cache dalvik

Thanks man. What about root? Do you know if I have to flash su again? Although it seems kinda stupid question I guess. If there is no root I will just have to flash it.
PS
Everything went well. It turned out I had to flash su again.

Hey guys I just found out that the HW+ decoder is not supported in MX video player. Can anyone confirm that or it just in my device. Since I don't know the difference between SW-HW-HW+ can someone give me a brief explanation. What is Best?
Thanks in advance.
recent and back buttons no longer working after flashing new rom,i tired to reflash various stock and custom firmwares but nothing seems to fix the problem, can anyone help
Don't forget to wipe all 4 partitions before flashing anything (even with Odin). If flashing a home version of firmware with odin doesn't help, try flashing a 4-files service version, that will make your phone as stock as it gets. I think there's an actual solution for this problem I saw somewhere too (maybe even on this forum), try more searching.

Yes. For some people wiping chace helped revive the buttons, but it ca also be a mechanical damage. you can add
"qemu.hw.mainkeys=0"
to /system/build.prop to have onscreen software buttons for now that should at least make the phone usable.

its not a mechanical damage the phone always worked until the update.i heard it might be the fw of the buttons that can be displayed when dialing
*#2663# .can someone make a backup of his own s5 mini and post it ?
A backup is almost 3,5 GB, even uploading it would be a challenge.

I don't know if this will fix it but you could try the "Touch key FW Update" Option. Maybe this will work.
