Hey i was wondering if there was a way i could extend the screen to another display BUT ALSO USE IT AS A TOUCH SCREEN?
YES
Provided the destination system has touch screen.
In the market is a app that connects via USB, and presents your SGT screen on the PC, usually controlled on the PC with the mouse, but if you had a touch screen PC, then your golden.

Unfortunately the display of my Diamond broke and now i can't use it anymore (touchscreen didn't work - phone still works (booting, ringing etc)). I want to make a backup with Active Sync and MyMobiler, but everytime I connect the Diamond with my PC it only starts the access to the in-build flash-memory. I cannot change the behavoir for starting in Active Sync-Mode on Diamond.
What can I do?
Screen acting weird.
I have a problem with my screen too. Sometimes I cant use my touchscreen anymore. When I turn off the screen and wait a little bit I can use it again. But lately another problem has occurred, my screen keeps on loosing its alignment.
Its almost like my screen is dying...
i recently had the same problem...my fone was fully functioning all apart from my touch screen itself... i had to painfully keep runing the screen alignment an now it is fine
The only solution I could think of would be to put a registry file containing the ActiveSync setting [instead of 'connect as removable drive'] onto the phone and try to start it using the hardware buttons.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get into the start menu without the stylus. But the hardware buttons allow you to scroll through the TouchFLO tabs so you're able to access the programs tab. Maybe you've assigned explorer or activesync to one of those buttons? If not, you're able to assign one even w/o the stylus. I failed to re-enable the settings tab so I don't know what's on it. Maybe that one helps, too.
When you connect your device to your PC you can change you connection optons with the hardware buttons. This way you can set it to activesync. this has also been my solution to get to the screen alignment settings via mymobiler. But now I need to get a stock dutch SPL so I can return my phone to repair the screen. I dont carry my laptop around at all times...
Hello all,
so my brother threw down his phone. Now it has big crack on the back and a light one on the display.
Despite this display looks ok, but only the upper half reacts to touch ...
So the idea is now to do some backups and then sent it in for repair.
The phone is stuck at the lock screen and cannot be unlocked because the number are in the lower half of the screen.
My first idea is to enable the "Glove modus" (Settings -> Display -> Enable Gloves) and maybe the display will still react to pressure touch... (?)
However how can I enable this modus, is it possible via adb and how?
Any help appreciated, cheers
PS:
The phone is rooted, btw.

What do you mean, exactly?
Maybe he meant to plug a mouse using an OTG cable. I haven't tried myself so i can't vouch for the method
He's right. Buy any cheap USB OTG adapter and plug any USB mouse (even wireless) to Your phone. Tested and working.
Thanks, USB OTG adapter did the trick.
I just want to know if it is possible to connect the R5592-CR display I got from ripping up a broken printer to a pc to function as a extra display. Without writing a new library for it since I really don't have time for that at the moment. I want to maybe display stuff like cpu temps ect and hook its power button to the pc. It has UART, JTAG and a mini usb b. The display has 2 touch sensors/switches on the left and 3 on the right but i'm not looking to use them, its also a touch screen but I just need it to function like a regular screen.
hi ,
i have a htc one m7 that is not recognized by pc when it is in bootloader mode, however the phone doesn't charge properly when i plug it in the current because the cable moves when it is plugged.
if i use a micro usb with not long exit, it charges well, if i use a cable with big exit, it moves easily and it often doesn't charge.
the second problem is:
the highest part of the screen doesn't recognize the touch, to use that part i have to press strongly and using the entire finger or a big part of it (if i use the extremity of the finger, it doesn't work ), AND the highest point of the screen ( status bar) doesn't work NEVER.
How to fix micro usb?
How to fix screen problem (i think that is a software problem)
i have not original charging cable
i have just tried to do make electro-shocks to the screen but it doesn't work

If your usb port is damaged you can replaced it. Removing the cover of the phone is a little tricky but once done, the usb board is easily replaced.
You can test your touchscreen by lauching the diagnostic menu by dialing *#*#3424#*#* form there you can access the line drawing test. Test your screen and if some inputs are not registered then your digitizer is probably faulty and will need to be replaced.
Hello guys! Today my phone was in direct contact with the floor... It has broken screen (broken glass and black screen) and cannot be turned on. When I'm connecting phone to the PC, the diode is flashing every second, but PC doesn't see it. I want to recover all the data (if it's impossible, just a photos) is it possible to do it in home? Or even in some kind of a service? If so, what's the cost of this recovery? Never done any rooting etc.
Just have the screen replaced. Most phones will not connect to the computer via normal user methods if the screen does not work, because you have to unlock or open the screen, and also to click the selection for the type of USB connection. Even the best option under this menu, called "media transfer", does not show the entire phone. If you want to do something better then that by recovering the files instead of repairing the screen first (by taking it to repair shop), you will need to learn to use the search engine better then this.
