Hi
I'm SGS(I9000) user in Singapore..
I upgraded my SGS to GB late week.(JV9)
But I can't find how to root for it.
And I wonder there is any speedmod or tegrak kernel for JV9..
Thanks be4!

Hi Im looking for a kernel recommendation for XXJVO on galaxy. I cant decide between CF-Root and voodoo kernels. Other suggestions would be welcomed as well.
Thanks!
CF-Root kernel is more close to stock kernel....
Regards
Thanks! Already installed CF-Root and happy so far!
... also you can try Voodoo JVO kernel
Ultra fast (even without lagfix) and extra stable
I can truly recommend this 1
I liked the Dark-Core Kernels before i switched to CM7
CF-root forever
CF-Root kernel is ok
Dark Core or CF, can't go wrong
Fugumod bleeding edge ultra all on ext4 and flying

Look in Android Development subforum here. You'll find custom kernels to do what you want.
eg. SpeedMOD, FuguMOD, etc.
which one do you prefer for the JV6?
Just want to know you opinion

Click to collapse
Today's GB rom is smooth enough, no lagfix is needed.
If you need ext4, the famous Voodoo or Speedmod also is the solution for you.
19000ZSJV6 root Please??

Hi guys,
I installed XXJVR firmware on my I9000 and then rooted the phone using CF ROOT kernel. Can I install Voodoo lagfix on this stock firmware?
Thanks,
Dinesh.
OK found it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1225879
Searched a lot to find that thread.
i have installed the latest rom jvt but the probleme is lagfix
firt im trying to install kernel speedmod for lagfix but in recovery mode i did not found the UL advanced SpeedMod ULK features
i found just advanced SpeedMod features
pls help me i want lagfix
Go to app drawer and try to find ext4 tools. use it.
What version of speedmod are you using?
Some post said that it may be just suitable for 2.3.3 to 2.3.4
Hi!
I have currently Darky's v9.3.XWJSS, 2.6.32.9 hardcore speedmod with lagfix(ext4) and XXJPY. It's about 2 years since I did this, and can't remember much from what I did back then, about the technicalities and such
So..my question is what do I have to do to flash to a JB-based rom now? Do I have to disable lagfix?
Can I use this method? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2049504&highlight=ext4
