I have a Droid running Peter Alfonso's Gingerbread release (GPA15) and it will not show USB storage. I have tried wiping the cache, Dalvik cache, rebooting, etc. i have the same problem with almost every ROM I've tried. The option to mount USB storage simply doesn't appear in the notifications. It appears when the ROM is freshly installed, and then just stops appearing, so it seems to be a device problem. However, I can mount the SD card from CWMRecovery. Ideas?

Hi some app on my internal storage is preventing me from booting I flashed the rom and kernel multiple times i also use the wipe options in the recovery the files are still there i can see them when the device boots with adb logcat, Is there any way to format or delete the apps from that folder.
I have searched everywhere and tried every solution I could think of. I'm running CM7 RC2 and every time i attempt to mount the sd card via usb, my phone reboots.
I have:
checked my MD5sum on my rom(s)
wiped cache & Dalvik cache
reinstalled multiple times (multiple roms now)
multiple sd cards
and mounting sd card in recovery works fine
any help would be greatly appreciated
Move this to Q&A... not the right section.
I have a P1000T currently running the Overcome Kratos Edition (3.3.1 IIRC).
It won't do a factory reset. It goes into recovery mode fine, but I get errors like "E:unknown volume for path [/cache/recovery/log]".
It appears the partitions might be screwy or something?
The tablet still boots fine, but it won't reset, so makes it impossible for me to sell it as I can't remove my data etc.
Any ideas what might be wrong? I've tried installing 001003-Overcome_7_Series_v4.0.0_NoWipe.zip from SDcard, but it can't find the SDcard mount.
When I connect it to my PC, I get access to both the internal and external memory fine.
Any ideas?
Sorted. Install ROM Manager and mounted the internal and external SD, and the reset worked fine. Not sure if mounting fixed it, or whether I simply need ROM Manager installed?
Hi All,
I must be brief. Most of the application starts crashing so i decided to reset my phone. I did from the boot menu option. Some of the program was on internal storage and i starts getting message that error occur in this program that program. And when i checked in task manager all programs was listed there but non of them were working. I thought it is my internal storage memory problem i plugged into computer and format my drive no error occur and drive formatted successfully. The moment removed my data cable from computer all data (10Gb approx) automatically recover within 1 second like drive was never formatted.
My Internal storage data automatically recovers what should i do.
What i tried so far.
Formatting from computer
Quick format (4-5 times) no error occur 100% completeSlow format (3-4) times) no error occur 100% complete
Semaphore's ClockworkMod Recovery install with Heimdall Suite
Used all option of formatting even i formatted my cache (After which i phone didn't starts ) -- (2-3) times no error occurredformat /cache, format /data, format /sdcard, format /system - I just saw format execute it
Restore my phone with Odin and Samsmobile 100% recover
WOLLAH! my internal storage data was still there and still getting error message for programs which was on internal storage.
HELP me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, if you wipe data, your files still there?

My files are still there....
Few more observations....
From Default file manager (My Files) when i delete file some times it delete (files restore on restart) and some time it dosn't delete.
when i tried to open Gallery it says "Unable to mount Sdcard" but some times it open.
no consistent behavior.
Should i got to service center or any genius will help me.
I have a Samsung Captivate I'm using as my daily driver right now. Until recently I was running Cyanogenmod 11, but got tired of doing a wipe and install every time the Google Processes started failing, so I tried out ParanoidAndroid 4.3. After flashing the new ROM and GApps, I realized only 1.26 GB of Internal Storage is being recognized. My external SD card is recognized, but not the remainder of my 16 GB of onboard storage. I have tried wiping Cache Partition, Dalvik Cache, Data Reset and reinstall, and have tried formatting /system and /data, but cannot get it to recognize the storage no matter what. Using "Explorer" by Speed Software (first file explorer that popped up on Play Store so if I need to use something else to help diagnose, please let me know) my external card is under the root folder "emmc" and is designated "sdcard1". "sdcard0" (which I assume to be my onboard storage) is under the root folder sdcard, but when I click on it in my file explorer, I get the notification that "The SD card is not currently mounted" I'm using CWM 6.0.4.8, when I reboot into recovery and go to "Mounts and Storage" "sdcard0, sdcard1, /data, /datadata, /system" all have the options to "mount" next to them. I select this, reboot, and nothing has changed. I really don't know what else to try.
P.S.

Also, the permissions on sdcard0 are RWX------, while the permissions on sdcard1 are RWXRWXR--. Don't know that that would affect whether or not the system recognizes it, but wanted to give all the info I could.
