Hi,
I've installed SpeedMod Gingerbread K15H-T11 and found that I'm lost root.
I'm with SH 3.8.
Is in purposed? does this kernel have no root?
Thanks
The kernel has root, but it does not automatically apply it. You need to enter recovery mode and apply root from there.

Hello.
So i've got a problem with my I9000.
I've upgraded it to froyo, official release, so i'm stuck with the 3e recovery.I recently flashed the voodoo lagfix kernel via Odin. I would like to get clockwork recovery to replace 3e, but I understand i have to flash it via Odin, too. My question is : Is clockwork's kernel going to replace voodoo? If so, how can i have them both?
Thanks a lot in advance.
if you upgrade offical froyo then u must first do a root..the root files can be find here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788108...download correct root for your firmwire phone...then flash it tru odin..when u done with that u must download a rom manager from market...and install it to get clockwork mode =)
I wouldn't follow the previous poster's advice.
If you're going to use cwm, why do you want stock firmware? Try flashing speedmod kernel to get cwm, which has built in root and lagfix accesable from recovery. Or just go to a custom fw like docrom kitchen.
Best procedure for going custom with the sgs is a single flash of speedmod w/ cwm from odin, and then flash anything else via cwm.

Hello guys I have flashed the rom JVR stocks with Kernel Speedmod k15h - t24 and I can not get the root .... can you help me thanks
Havent try myself flash speedmod over JVR, but u can try install superuser & busybox from market after flash speedmod.
If still cannot, try flash different kernel...as example, Semaphore , CFROOT or Galaxian..
Or if u want, u can make a custom kernel yourself which can give u root.
I myself use semaphore kernel.

Does fugumod method work with JVR? Using it you could get root access and then reflash speedmod.

problem is a lack of space to install busybox and superuser with the stock jvr as there is insufficient system space -- you have to use a kernel for jvr that has a script to remove some unwanted system file (s) and then allow rooting to occur.
Thanks......I solved flashing before the root cf 4.1, which automatically executes the root, and then I flashed the speedmode ... and now everything is OK ....
HI, I put I9000XXJVQ 2.3.4 on my SGS by ODIN, it's not rooted, but I don't witch .RAR I can use to root it with ODIN to use TITANIUM backup, anybody can help me?
Or what is the best way : put a new firmware ? which one?
The best way to root, I think it is a flash Custom Kernel via Odin or CF-Root
Thanks, I tried to Root by ODIN but it's always unsuccessfull. Which Kernel do you recommend ? It's seems there are some problem with JVR kernel...
lol, if you going to root it from Custom kernel, you need to download SuperUser.apk and BusyBox . It gives you only permissions .
When I was on JVQ I using a continuum
What is a continuum ? Can I use CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVR-v4.1-CWM3RFS.zip to root with ODIN after loading Superuser and busybox ?
Yes, you can use it
I always flashed a custom .tar kernel's like SpeedMod or Galaxian.
Then I install from Market a SuperUser and BusyBox and it was all what i doing
My note has problem with CF-Root Kernal for LPY
after I flash Stock LPY Rom and Root as normal process
i cannot get a Root on my note and all Root App cannot used.
but in recovert mode already change to CWM 5.
How can i fix this problem
# before flash LPY i was come from Rocker 23 and Franco 10 kernal.
just go and download any custom rom like rocket ICS v1, and flash it as stated in the custom ROM OP then you will get back your root access.
Hi.. I recently rooted my N7000 using the instructions on this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1329360
How do I install CWM now? I don't have any CWM even though the phone is rooted.
TIA
Which method did you use ? Root only or Root & CWM ?
You can just flash the cwm.zip in stock recovery, Or you can flash a safe kernel with root and CWM already installed, Like speedmod using Odin.
