g1 w/o data plan, wifi disconnect when using browser

I have a g1 rooted with cyanogen 4.04 and I can connect to my wi-fi and use msn messenger for example. but everytime i try to use the browser to surf the web, after a couple of minute it disconnect and ****ed my router, so I have to unplug and plug my router to make my internet work again, so I cant use wifi with my g1 right now...I dont need a data plan sinceim always near a wireless network...I need help on solving this problem.
Ps; Im using a t-mobile g1 with fido network.

reflash the rom. that might clear it up.

ive already tried , its not the problem...anyone havin this issue...

I still need help ive tried everything and its doesnt work...
The problem is I can connect to Wi-fi like all day and stay connected, but once I try to go on the market or use the browser I get a disconnected after few minutes and need to unpug and replug my router to make my internet work again...Im using wpa and cant use wi-fi at home, but at a friend house who is using the same d-link router but with no protection work just fine...

[Q] Wirless N Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000

I do not know if someone already ask this question but I am going to ask again. My SGS i9000 supposed to support wirless b/g/n but it can only pick up wifif B/G. Another setup was created for wifi N but I cannot see the wifi N. I thought it should pick it up at least. Anybody here with wifi knowledge that can enlighten me up a little? Please help!!!

you sure it's not an issue with the channel?
Where are you from / Which channels are allowed in your region?
I just set my AP to N-only and channel 11 and it worked perfectly for me (running Tweaky vanilla - JVH-based).
What ROM are you running?

I am currently connected to a Sky router with a link speed of 72Mb/s so I gues this is running 802.11n

Thanks for the reply. I am in Canada and my company has external port for N. Just can't see the N network. Laptops can be connected with no issues.

Are you referring to 5GHz N because I don't think it can use it. Only 2,4GHz wireless N is supported.

[Q] Connecting to a "N" router on SGT?

Hello, I have the SGT and I see that I can connect through b/g/n/. My issue is that I do not see my 5ghz N frequency SSID on the tablets wireless networks setting.
Is there anything special I need to do to utilize my N frequency on my home network?

Your router have settings for for mixed (b/g/n) n only and sometimes (b/g) so any settings u have it on the tab should connect to it. Now if you have mix settings (b/g/n) the tab will connect at whatever optimal setting the wireless modem is written to connect at. I would guess N but again its a guess. But if you set your your network to N only, the tab can only connect at that frequency. Likewise if you have a wireless modem running g it will see the SSID but would have problems connecting to it. I havent been able to tell my tab which type of network to connect to, unless I'm missing something.

Almost 90% android devices doesn't support N standart, if it's supported, so only N on 2.4ghz frequency, not 5Ghz.

You have to manually select the channel. And use lower numbers.

Your right, I tried the mixed settings and was able to connect. Just not to N only settings.

[Solved] Wifi - no internet from my router

Hi
I just received a new note from rma, everything looked to be working fine, except wifi internet.
With my previous note i had no problems, connected to my router and had internet through it.
With this new note it connects to the router without any hiccups, i can even use the phone to move my computer's mouse over wifi, but i don't have internet access on the phone.
I installed Gerret's miui rom as soon as i took the phone out of the box so i'm not even sure if it also had the problem with the original rom but i did turn it on with the original rom and i think it did not have.
Anyway, i tried to give a static ip to the phone on the router settings (a TP Link TL-WR1043ND), i tried changing the wifi channel, tried it with wpa and open. It always connects to the router, but i never have internet...
I have another android phone and i put a mobile card in it and turned on the hotspot on that phone, connected the note to that phone through wifi and i do get internet on the note that way ... so it looks it is a problem with my router and this newer note version. :/
Any ideas to fix it?

Wi-Fi connected but no internet only on Android 6.0 and above

Guys help am solve this am using Huawei dual antenna 320 kbps Wi-Fi router connected to laptop, Nexus 7 (2012), Moto x xt1092. The problem is I am able to connect Wi-Fi with internet both mobile and tablet while using Android 5.0 but when I upgrade to Android 6.0 or 7.0 Wi-Fi get connected but no internet access implies same for tablet. I've tried lot of things mentioned below googling. the problem persist both on stock and custom ROM of upgrade.
1. Tried changing to static IP
2. Tried resetting router
3. Tried switching off and on Wi-Fi and forgetting network
4. Tried changing phones Mac address
5. Tried changing router access points to only b only n and b/g/n nothing worked. But downgrading to 5.0 works please help me. Stuck on lollipop and desperately want to update. Couldn't not able to find whether problem is with router or phone.
